Now I'm sure you all remember the Monks/Zealots from heroes III. Sure the monks looked a little "Jedi-ish" in Heroes III, but the Zealots were "beings of pure energy", if I can remember them saying that in the Tavern. Why couldn't they have used those two instead of the Priest/Inquisitor, especially if the Inquisitor looks like "Ahnuld the Govenator".

Obviously there is a theme of the cross-weapons that he Angels and Devils are holding. The angel is holding the cross right-side-up. Meanwhile, the devil holds the cross up-side-down. This art direction shows they are opposits. Atleast that is my preception.

I think it has more to do with the fact that the Angel has a sword and the Devil has a staff.

Well, it doesn't have any kind of sharp edge.
And he needs a way to cast that Meteor Shower.

the devil didn't cast meteor shower...  , is the hero who cast meteor shower, well in that fight video...the official one, I don't think that the devils can cast any spell... maybe just summon pit lords like some guys are saying...

not necesary... did you remember the genies? they didn't have any staff... and the can cast spells... also some other units like faery dragons, elementals, the pitlord in heroes 3 just move his weapon... to summon demons... also the archangels with his sword...

yes I just say this for the wey he used... more like and axe... or maybe a hammer?? don't know... but I think is an unusual weapon for a devil... and with the same cross like the angel's sword...

Hmm....
Paladins and angels that don't give a damn about good?
Don't like that at all.
I don't liek their looks either.
Paladis were my favorite of all heroes units and turning them into...this clown on a horse is utterly runing my favorite faction and my desire to play the game.
teh angles I don't like either but I can live with them...

I'm not blind (yet) but let me ask you this: when you look at the screen, you stand on your bum or on your hands? Because otherwise I don't see how you could perceive the handle of a sword as being "up" and the end of a mace as being "down". If this has not clarified things up for you, picture yourself in a church and visualize how the priest holds the cross. If you grab the cross from the large segment it's called the right way, if you hold it by the short upper segment it's called inverted cross.
(when I was younger and I could see, at least, that was MY perception...)
