DragonCon (Atlanta) - Demo of HoMM IV CCG

This is to verify that there will be a demo presented at DragonCon of the Heroes CCG game. I'll be glad to answer some questions here in this thread (up to the limited extent of my knowledge of course!).

The HoMM CCG Demo will be presented on behalf of "DGA-Games" by the "Service Bay 12" online game developers team.

-=-

Q: Will we be able to buy the game at DragonCon?
A: No -- Sadly due to world events the retail stock will not arrive to the USA before DragonCon. Unless some miracle occurs to make the Cargo ship move like an airplane, we will not have anything for sale there.

Q: What guest-speakers from DGA-Games will be attending DragonCon (artist, game designers, etc).
A: None that I know of. Most are currently working at the office during this time. Release & Distribution of a game this size pretty much takes all of the DGA staff. This is the reason "Service Bay 12" has been asked to present the Demo.

Q: When? and Where? will the Demos be held at?
A: The demos will be held in the public gaming area at DragonCon. I will try and post an exact location when I get the info from DragonCon as to where they are putting us. As to Game Demo times, that will again depend on who we have available. I know I will not personally be available Friday, but I will be on hand Saturday and Sunday. Most likely we will have someone doing the demos at length on every day of the show.

Q: What is a Grue?
A: *"Burp!"* - next question please....

-=-

Again - please post your questions and comments here. If you plan to attend DragonCon and you wish to meet up with us for a demo round,.. Please let us know.

Sadly --

The Demo at DragonCon will have to be cancelled..

The demo materials never arrived - and Jonathan has been trying to find out why they are lost in shipping.

We do plan on doing the demo at AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta) though - and that should be more represented as we will probably have retail stock as well.

If events change and the game  stuff arrives before DragonCon -- I'll try and post here.

Just an update from DragonCon:

We did get the games in to demo at DragonCon on Friday -

There have been many games played and obviously a lot of interest generated.  I have seen some MTG players, Battletech players, and other board gamers sit at this game and say how enjoyable it is. Jonathan has now proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt how this game crosses all genre's of player types.

Only flaws we saw were a few confusing rules issues, most of which have been cleared up by the errata sheet now.

If anyone here is at DragonCon, we are located in the board gaming area at the Hyatt (2 floors down from the lobby).

We will also be doing demos of the game at Anime Weekend Atlanta in 3 weeks. So if your in the Atlanta area, look for us there.

Hope to meet some of the pros of this game sometime. Look for me with my Siegfried and Roy's Nature assault decks *Grins*.
