Couldn't we assume that the majority of the villagers (that weren't being killed instantly) would be saying "ouch!"? I mean, it's a given, you know. Anyways, Lord Woock, your forces are getting rallied to hell and back, so what's your next move?

The leader of the ex-village took the fastest horse and a big sack of gold on a boat and crossed the river. Then, he put the sack of gold on the horse, and then rode it somewhere far far away, where there's none of this humongous bloodthirsty abominations business.
(Look, it's not like you have to stick to the townspeople vs abominations thing. That's not where the world ends!)

Rage08 went into hiding as well... his people were furious with him for sending them into battle only for them to all lose their lives.
For the months, maybe even years that passed, he wondered what had ever happened to Lord Woock. He felt there wasn't much left to live for. Many of his townspeople were still in search of him to pay back for the mistake he made...

The leader arrived in a frozen cave. He could see some trails that lead into the cave so he intered it. Our hero was astonished to find a vast open area that seemed to have hundreds of cavities much like a bee's nest.

Just kick into a story, Conan! Describe your initial actions as the leader of some bunch of people 
(I'll assume that Conan's character-hijacking post wasn't there)
After a while, Lord Woock has arrived at a city of sorts, where he used his wits and gold to form a band of thugs and mercenaries and such, and went on to accepting odd jobs, which he paid the aforementioned people to do. Slowly, both his richness and small army grew in size...

Anyways, how about my character runs into your character? I wouldn't mind an accomplice...

as Woock gained some renown, his actions soon came to Conan's ears, the leader of a close-by town of barbarians... Conan decided to meet this young and intrepid Woock to learn more about such witty individuals
On his way to meet this Woock, he bumps into what seems to be an earth elemental on a path...
