I have never played Heroes 4, but just by the picture the Nightmare looks bad. The WOG mod looks good but I have never really been a huge fan of the Nightmare Concept. So I had to go with the Heroes 5 look!
Btw, Vlaad what one is next?

The Angel is next, of course! 
I must disagree with you about the Heroes 4 Nightmare. It was so cute - black with fiery mane!
In H3 it was just a re-colored Unicorn, while I couldn't care less for the latest rendition. 
They all had great abilities, though...

IMO homm5 nightmare is by far the best... it simply radiates evil lol... the others are too generic and as vlaad said, "cute"

I'd really, really like to vote for H5 on this one, but unfortunately two details totally ruin the whole impression:
- The bent metal rod on its nose
- The weird hunches on its shoulders. I'm still not sure if these should resemble remains of some wings or some kind of shoulder armor.
So I voted for the H4 nightmare, although it looks a bit too tame.

HIV sucks like a pronstar and the Heroes III is just a recolored Unicorn.

The HOMM V Nightmare just rules supreme! it radietes evil and bloodlust! it's burning with the power of chaos and the desire to kill and destroy! just what it should be!
The HOMM IV Nightmare is good (well it's the 1st Nighmare... and it looks cute with the fire mane IMO),
but the HOMM III WOG Nightmare looks like what it is: a fat, recolored Unicorn, so the new one is best for me.

The Heroes IV Nightmare had to be different looking, you forget that it was in other alignment. Chaos alignment was not evil, more likely wild and uncontrolled, impulsive (And it looked more like a natural inhabitat of Axeoth, rather an alien from hell)... While Heroes V Nightmare belong to a evil, hellish alignment.

true but then again it's a nightmare...should look a lil scary don't u think....or ferocious, how can a black pony cast fear on u...I mean I'm not afraid of black ponies (I'm not saying the heroes IV one needs flames around it but something else than just being black and having a re/orange mane on it)

Heroes V nightmare deserves my vote because it looks more like something that will give me a "nightmare" after looking at it 
Heroes III WOG ones are too friendly (black unicorns basically..) and not to mention the HOMM IV ones.. ("Mommy, I wwwwant those black ponies with orange furs")
