Well, I would believe that; however, if you see my name as the creator of the thread...even if it has tactics in the title, you must know you will either get a laugh out of it or it surely belongs in the wastelands

Need I remind you Jebfoo that our games were somewhat close.  Our stats were pretty even... only difference was that my attack and defense were higher, where your spell power and knowledge were higher.  That being said, I was lucky enough to get the Red orb and took away your entire strategy for that game   Not like I came bulldozing into your land with stats of 30 across the board like the Dirkinator  I was tiptoing into your land like a church mouse with a bit of caution wondering if I could catch you off guard

I didn't say I don't post because I don't know anything... I said I don't post because everything I know has already been posted and talked about many times. Everything I've learned new has been from posts that already exist on the forum. No sense in me starting another thread on a topic that already exists

Well the noob part and not knowing what I am doing is all relative.  But I will tell you what does make me a noob.... I am sloooooow!! So by the time I have upgraded my troops and ready for main battle, the game is already over a week ago

LOL  Well the reason you don't have to set a time limit is because where other people will fight hordes of champions with week 2 troops and with carefull tactics and manuvering, will come out of the battle with only losing a couple fodder units.  I will go into that battle, take a gamble that a stack of 17 champions won't morale, they do, and I will get 3/4 of my troops wiped out.  So at that point, I just finish the sloppy battle and move on.  One time in a game where it seemed like my opponent was making a great battle every turn and I was just moving my heroes and clicking the hourglass, I purposely waited an extra 5 minutes just to make it seem as if I was fighting a good battle too!  But in the end, that tactic doesn't work because you are eventually exposed when your main hero has stats of 10-5-3-3 and you have 3 arenas in your land

I know the time limit is not affected by battles.  That is the point.  If you have a 4 minute time limit set, and your opponent is going on 15 minutes for his/her (political correctness) turn, then you know your opponent must be fighting a good battle (or mowing the lawn).  If I enter a battle fighting lots of gnolls in week 2, it would normally take 2 seconds to finish the battle... however, if I sat in that battle for an extra 5 minutes, it would seem as if I was fighting a big battle (or taking a shower)

HAHAHAHA!!!
Well, there it goes:

-------------------------------------------
-------------- KRU'S TACTICS --------------
-------------------------------------------

1) Use every possible opportunity to claim that you are a noob.
2) While playing, keep saying how you've just suicided and that you are only playing because you want to give your opponent the very little challenge you can afford to make the win more fun for him.
3) When your opponent finally comes for you thru the 1-way teleporter (that took him 3 days to figure out how to properly use it) - meet him with 2x as many upgraded skeletons as he has.
4) When at the end of the fight your opponent has 1 lich left, say that you've never even had a chance and that this fight was over before it started.
5) Build portal+castle on balance then claim that this makes you a noob cuz you don't know the proper building strategy. Frequently use "muuaahahahahahaha" in your argument.

LOL!!!!! Truce!!!

Edit - In the begining of my gaming experience on the zone, I played someone *cough* Maretti *cough* for the first time and didn't know any of the players at that point.  After week 1 day 3, I ask him what his handle is, he tells me, and I go and look while he is taking his turn.  After I saw his win/loss record and who he had played, I reported the loss, then came back and continued the game

actually come to think of it, i think im still in a game with Angel!!  but it's been his turn for like 6 months now!! must be counting squares again!
I've had a game where I got active every turn and once I even got 2x active. I won't tell who I was playing against *coughs* maretti *coughs*... sorry, smth bad with my throat.
Was a fun extreme2 game nevertheless.
My all-powerful main had the ass kicking earth elemental specialty that was deadly when combined with his estates starting skill. He also had around 25 spellpower, fire specialty and a fire elemental scroll - a sure way to win, even when you don't consider his mighty army led by 7 titans.
He was up against a puny level 27 Tazar with weak-ass defense specialty, 30+ attack/defense and a weak-ass army led by 21 chaos hydras. Weak-ass tazar also had a weak-ass artie called "red orb" and another weak-ass artie called "shackles of war".
There was a fight in which my main has demonstrated the wonders of bravery and fighting spirit. Even "you can not surrender" and "you cannot cast spells" messages he got every turn did not lower his dedication and fighting spirit. He fought bravely till the very end and did not retreat. But despite all his superiority and his outstanding bravery, he lost to the wicked Tazar :-(

Well, one thing you will learn eventually is that people often underestimate the value of castle during the combat. I've had times when I defeated an army 10x stronger with my scout with only minor losses just because I was behind the city walls.

150 damage each turn from the arrow towers that ignore defense, 70 guaranteed damage from the moat each turn, combine it with a good defending tactics and I could easily lose that game.

LOL  This is great.  I thought I was the only person to fall victim to such a lopsided main fight with Maretti.  My all powerful Lacus with stats almost reaching double digits encountered his puny Aikin with stats only in the mid 20's.  You would think he would have surrendered after staring down at my 3 ghost dragons, 100 demons, 13 efreet sultans and 6 arch devils... not to mention my secret weapon... Mass Haste  But like you said, his bravery and fighting spirit kicked in at that point and he didn't lose focus of the task at hand.  His outmatched army of 16 Ghost dragons, 38 wyverns, 10 bone dragons, 8 chaos hydra, 28 mighty moos, 100+ dragon flies and 100+ lizard warriors rallied together and barely pulled out the win.  I think I would have had him if he didn't get so lucky and resurrect the 3 mighty moos that all of my troops combined managed to kill.  Talk about snatching victory from the jaws of defeat

I will admit, there is a difference in the way Maretti comes after you after he breaks into your land and the way Russ does it.  Maretti comes after you like he is a steamroller and nothing is going to slow him down or stop him.  Russ broke into my land, then went off to the side to check out the mountains, then kinda zig zagged his way in.... almost in a friendly fashion.  Hell, I almost thought he was my ally and we were going to exchange troops and artifacts

I bet you were surprised when the artifact exchange window didn't come up after you double clicked my hero
Btw, ghost dragons are nothing! In my last game with maretti I managed to find 80 skeletons in my treasure area, but I didn't use them because I wanted to give maretti a chance.
