Poll Question:
The Way of the Paladin!
OK, I have some things to explain first. 
In Heroes 1, the Swordsman and the Paladin were two creatures.
In Heroes 2, they even had upgrades, the latter being very popular with the fans. 
However, they were merged into one creature in Heroes 3! The Paladin returned (well, sort of ) as the Castle commander in the WoG mod.
In Heroes 4, we got the Squire, while the Crusader leveled up.
Now in Heroes 5, Ubi wants us to believe that the Paladin rides a horse?! Well, perhaps in real life, but not in Heroes! 
Where does that leave the Knight?
Finally, will our Lord_Crusader ever become a true paladin if he just sings all day long???

I think in homm2 they looked and especially sounded the cooest.
tink-tink, tink-tink, tink-tink, SHHHWHAMMM!!! SHHHWHAMMM!!!
A foot soldier covered from head to toes in shiny steel plate, wearing a cool blue cloak, with a BIG sword. All of that made a whole lot of metallic noise while he walked (and he walked quite fast - must have been because he felt the holy purpose behind his actions). And he decimated the undead with two mighty swings of his giant sword.
homm1 palading looked very very poorly drawn. Perharps, one of the developers asked his 5-yr old kid to do the art work
In homm3 they made his sword smaller, lowered him in rank and added a little p***y shield. Maybe shield is good for Diablo 2-type paladin, but D2 is not homm.
Paladin on horse in homm5? Yes - you are right, this isn't very homm-ish.

HAHAHA LOL, hey Vlaad you don't give us the chance of vote for our Lord_crusader , but hell! I just love the heroes 2 ones... I just take my name from this... my first account here was "Gold_Cruzader" but for a strange reason I can't loggin again with that one and I create this one , the gold armour and the iron sounds were just great , but I must recognize that the heroes 5 version I mean the knights remember me to the heroes 2 Crusaders

The H2 Crusaders always struck me as cool-looking warriors. They definitely own all of the others with their gold armor and blue dressings. While the newer versions are lavishly designed and rendered, they still don't quite match up to the H2 version.

Sometimes, simplicity in design is a good thing. Homm2 Crusader will alsways remain as one of my all time favourites .

I always liked the paladin... but in H5 it looks the best so far, could loose some "stuff" hanging from him but he's ok nevertheless... maybe a sword and a healing/bless powers are needed to add, but he's one of my favoured characters so far.

H1 and H2 were close, but I voted H2 for the coolness factor in the animation and sound it gives... H2 paladins/crusaders forever!
H3 ones are not satisfactory.. and H4 ones looked like power rangers with swords.
Although I loved cavaliers and paladins of H5, I prefer the big swords of H2... paladins on horses are "un-hommish"
H2 crusaders brought nostalgia to me again... the good-old cheap level 6/7 crusaders giving nightmares to the undeads

I also like H2 the best, but the downgrade. I don't like the golden armor of the upgrade. And I also like the H5 paladin on the horse, I think its good. and also all ther others except for you, H1!

I prefer the Heroes 1 paladin.Being the strongest creature in knight castle,striking twice and looking so cool,even if it went to curch and still go to war,made it my favourite one.

I like the paladin in Heroes 5 and the knight from HoMM3.
Why?
Paladins:they can heal and are very fast.When they reach the enemy,are unstopable!
Knights:They atack twice.
