ICTC: Vykavinco

The Time Masters

This is the symbol of the Vykavinco. In it you can see three very important things in it. Once is the concentric circles. The Vykavinco are the inner circle, seperate from everyone else, represented by the outer circle. The next thing that the symbol shows is an hourglass. This shows the basic principle of the Vykavinco, being time. the last thing is the orb, which is made up of the outer circle and the stand at the bottom. this is the orb of Gacilda, which shows great devoting to their god and what he has done for them.

Aka: The Time Masters

Associated colors: Silver and Blue

Worship: Gacilda, the Dragon of Time

Core philosophy:
Together we live,
Together we hide,
Together we fight,
Together with pride

Country / kingdom: Cedel-Phirif

Capital city: Porviss

Key symbols: The Hourglass, the orb, concentric circles

Arch Enemies: Academy
enemies: Haven, sylvan
neutral: necropolis, dungeon, inferno

heroes: the Heroes are the Time Wizard and the Warlord

Time Wizard: the Time Wizard is an Enchanter who has decided to help lead his peoples into battle. They have much magical capabilities aswell as the art leading.

Warlords: Warlords are the children of the Vykavinco Empire who have decided that they want to be the best fighter there ever was. They specalise in the sword rather than the staff.

Race Skill

Time Warp

The race skill of the Vykavinco Empire is that they can turn back time during battle. When the knowledge to go back in time was lost, there was some writings in the Temple of Gacilda that were spells. these spells could cast a partial time spells, resulting in the "time warp" skill. When in a battle they can turn back time in a 3x3 area. This means all things done the last time the creature(s) moved is undone. this means spells, movement attacks is all revered. This can be done once every 8 rounds. With further training the number can go lower to 6 then 4. At Ultimate level the skill can turn back time once every 3 rounds.

Description

The Time Masters are a secluded race, living in areas that are not explored often by other factions. They have their base, a City called Porviss, at the foot of a mountain. Their Kingdom is Cedel-Phirif, meaning Great City. The Vykavinco Empire was previously the “Hempren”. This was until great wars on the edge of their lands forced the Vykavinconians away, towards the foot of the mountains. There they found their god, Gacilda. He was the god of time and taught them time travel. After a few hundred years the Empire was great, it had many strong creatures to fight for it and it was producing young talented Time Mages. It had a line of kings each producing an heir and keeping the kingdom of Cedel-Phirif in perfect order without troubles. But one day, when the Time Scrolls and Orb of Gacilda, used in unison to time travel, were lost in an avalanche.

A king, who produces and heir, runs the kingdom and he then takes over when the king decided, or dies. If an heir isn’t produced then a relative takes over. In the Empire there are many statues dedicated the Time God Gacilda. Also the city is divided into several districts. The most notable however are the Rich district, where the riches Vykavinconians reside, the Slave district, where the slaves do their work away from the rest of the city. There is also the training district where some of the buildings that train creatures are found. And lastly there is the Kings district. This is where the king, or queen, dwells. The kings family also lives there.

History

History:

YSD 15: The Rocs

Chelis Waunor, and a group of guards, travel back in time and capture many Roc eggs. They then travel back to their own time.

YSD 32: The Hiding

After a great war near the lands of the people and creatures who called themselves the Hempren involving the demons and elves, the first Hempren moved to new grounds at the foot of the mountains. These lands at the foot of the mountains were virtually untouched by all other factions and provided water from above as well as much food from the forests below. The Hempren set up a permanent base here away from all other races, to live in peace. The Hempren grew and prospered in these new lands, and thus their numbers grew, in the shadows.

YSD 46-50: The discovery of the Temple of Gacilda

The lands at Porviss were great and much was discovered each day. A group consisting of a few Shadow Hounds, a Warlord and a Wizard stumbled upon a Temple. Inside were many scrolls as well as much writings on the walls. When the Leader of the Hempren came to the temple, a great dragon appeared from an altar. He called himself Gacilda, Dragon of Time. He told Hempren that to become strong they must worship him and he would grant them the power of Time travel. The Hempren decided to obey and worship Gacilda having no god of their own and so Gacilda blessed them. As thanks, Gacilda gave them the Time Scrolls and the Orb of Gacilda, which could be used in unison to travel through time. In these 4 years much had changed in the life of the Hempren people and so they decided to call themselves something other than Hempren, meaning hidden in their forgotten language. They choose to be called the “Vykavinco”. It was a word repeated all in many places in the Temple of Gacilda and when translated, meant “Time Masters”

YSD 85: A King is Crowned

The Vykavinco people crown the first king, King Laithor, after a week of voting. Laithor won by a close margin, ahead of Drolnyr. In the next few weeks after Laithor was crowned, Porviss was noticeably happier that there was someone in charge.

YSD 89-91: Construction of the House of Gacilda

After worshiping Gacilda for almost 40 years, it was decided by Laithor, the current King, that a shrine should be erected in Gacilda’s honor. This shrine was to show the god that the Vykavinco Empire was grateful for Gacilda choosing them to bless and guide. When the House of Gacilda was constructed, it would hold both the Time Scrolls and the Orb of Gacilda. During this time, many citizens felt a great amount of patriotism towards the Vykavinco and Gacilda hence choosing to dedicate them to Gacilda. These citizens came to be known as Servants of Gacilda, and the more dedicated and trained citizens, Warriors of Gacilda. Also during the construction of the House of Gacilda, Shadow Wolves were sent out to patrol the area around Porviss to keep the kingdom secret, and thus protect it from any major attacks. These Shadow Wolves often returned with people that had surrendered during the attack and were made slaves.

YSD 149-150: The First Time Traveler

Above Porviss are a group of Rocs, which are terrorizing the city. Realizing that the creatures could possess great strength in battle, Eloye, the current Queen, decided to use the Time Scrolls and Orb of Gacilda for the first time. Chelis Waunor was chosen to travel back in time. He did so and as instructed, he found a habitat of Rocs, waiting for mating season and stole some Roc eggs. He returned the next year with the Roc eggs, which soon hatched. The Hatchlings were trained to become Rocs, strong in battle. The first moment in history where time travel was attempted was a complete success.

187-197: Training our Magical Future

Knowing that the world may soon come to blows, the Vykavinco decided to further increase their magical study by training apprentices in the magical arts. When word of this reached the streets, astronomical numbers of citizens wanted to learn magic. The students would study and each year a test would separate the best students from the rest. Only the best and brightest students would continue to the next year. After several years, it was clear that although many aspired to be great Mages, only few citizens were good enough. It was then decided that slave babies were pure, meaning they were free from the teachings of other factions that parents may have taught them. So at birth babies were taken from their mothers and from an early age taught to be apprentices. They were treated the same as other students. Children of the slaves that don’t move on are orphaned, while if their Vykavinconian parents gave them up, they are returned to them. To build up many teachers and to have adequate resources to teach took time but soon strong Enchanters were sprouting and it was known to be worth it.

YSD 330: Failing to Control the Demons

A total lunar eclipse provokes a massive rupture of the Demon Prison. Time Magic is used to go back in time to try and stop the event but after several tries it is deemed impossible. Time Magic fails on this occasion.

YSD 404-420: Time Arch Mages

Some Enchanters are deemed to be supremely powerful and are shown and taught more powerful magic. After many years of studying these new spells, Time Arch Mages are born. They can cast more spells and are the strongest ever Spell Casters.

450 YSD: Losing the Time artifacts

The kingdom of Cedel-Phirif was growing strong and many people wanted to see the fabled Time Scrolls and Orb of Gacilda. The two objects were sent on a tour of Cedel-Phirif in which it would visit every major city. When travelling through a 2 mountains, there was an avalanche. The Time Scrolls and Orb of Gacilda were lost. Despite numerous efforts to move the rocks covering the artifact, it proved impossible. The Time artifact had been lost.

Modern Ages

YSD 760: Taming of the Pegasus

A Young woman travels up the mountains and returns with a Pegasus. Her name was Yorliy. She claimed that she had tamed the Pegasus and that it could be used in battle. Yorliy was asked to tame more of the creatures and she did so, coming back the next day with no less than 30 of the wonderful creatures. Expert generals concluded that if Vykavinco foot women were to ride the creatures armed with a lance, they could become devastating in battle. King Irignor, descendant of Laithor, agreed and so a new creature was born.

Time Arch Mages

Any comments on the history so far are appreciated

Creatures

1st Level: Armed Slaves --> Trained Slaves

Armed Slaves

Special Abilities:
-True Loyalty: There is a 5% chance that the Slaves will either turn and attack the one of the Vykavinconians or by overwhelmed by hatred for the enemies that the stacks attack and defense will increase by 50% for one round (which basically means there is a 2.5% chance of one and a 2.5% of the other). If the slaves turn on the Vykavinconians then it will happen before the player has a chance to move the stack. If the Slaves are about to use the critical hit then that happens after the player chooses to move and/or attack.

Physical Appearance: They appear like farmers, they wear simple gowns of dark brown, which offer some resistance to the sometime cold conditions around Vykavinconians lands. The gowns are torn, as they have to last many years. The slaves hold a short sword with a dint near the top. Their faces are dirty and they wear shoes made of simple fabric.

These Armed Slaves are captured outsiders that have been partly brainwashed and put to work. They are not treated with great care or respect but aren’t done any special favours by their masters. They usually tend to the chores of the Vykavinco such as gathering foods, repairing small things or cleaning Vykavinco houses. Often Time Wizards come to lecture these Slaves of the Vykavinconian powers of time travel. These Wizards also preach about how other factions such as Haven and Sylvan are evil in that they want peace but through war. Consequently each slave is mostly brainwashed. But the slaves always have another theory in the back of their mind, that Vykavinconians are the evil ones. Thus in each battle there is a chance that the Armed Slaves will turn and take a swing at their so-called masters. But there is also an equal chance that the group will remember the teachings of how certain factions are evil and gain a temporary bonus when attacking or defending against these creatures. When they do follow orders and are battling, a short sword is all they have to fight with. This doesn’t provide much attack or defense power though, resulting in quite low stats.

Trained Slaves

Specials Abilities:
-True Loyalty: There is a 5% chance that the Slaves will either turn and attack the one of the Vykavinconians or by overwhelmed by hatred for the enemies that the stacks attack and defense will increase by 50% for one round (which basically means there is a 2.5% chance of one and a 2.5% of the other). If the slaves turn on the Vykavinconians then it will happen before the player has a chance to move the stack. If the Slaves are about to use the critical hit then that happens after the player chooses to move and/or attack.

Physical Appearance: when upgraded they have been trained to fight and defend. They now have a small shield made from wood and a long sword. They look a little cleaner and now the clothes change in color to a light brown. Long sword has a dint near the end.

The trained slaves are now armed with long swords and shields. These increase the defence and attack of the slaves but because of no armor, they still have very low defense stats. They have an increased attack and a slight increase in defense. The special ability doesn’t change as while undergoing training, Mages speak to them about time travel while in training to make sure they know who their master is. This is mainly done to ensure there is no uprising among them.

2nd Level: Shadow Wolf --> Shadow Hound

Shadow Wolf

Special Abilities:
-First strike: When attacking they attack and then the opponent retaliates. Also when attacked, they strike first then the enemy attacks.
Sneaky Swipe: If they attack an enemy, levels 1 and 2, from directly behind them, they gain a +1 attack bonus.

Physical Description: These oversized dogs have a very dark brown coat. They have teeth that slightly protrude from the mouth and are yellow in colour.

These Shadow Wolfs are a rare breed outside the Vykavinco Empire. They were discovered when a search party came across some old ruins where a few groups of these pups were situated. It appeared as though the mothers had abandoned their respective group of pups leaving them helpless. Each pup was taking in by the Vykavinco and taught to sneak hunt and respect their masters. The Vykavinconians use these creatures in groups for scouting the area around castles, to make certain that the towns are unknown to outsiders. If outsiders do try to make their way towards a castle or town, the Shadow Wolves strike in unison. This takes the intruders by surprise leaving many severely injured to dead within seconds. If any choose to surrender, they are lead to Time mages where they become armed slaves They have an extremely dark brown coat that makes them very hard to spot when in dark areas especially when they are sneaking and almost impossible to hear. They also can strike with both extreme speed and dexterity making them very deadly predators. Their very accurate senses give them the ability to know what is happening around them, which results in their first strike ability. They have very sharp teeth which, combined with their other natural abilities, gives them a high attack stat. However their defense stat is not great but when they attack first all the time, this doesn’t need to be all that high. They have an average heath stat.

Shadow Hound

Special Abilities:
-First Strike
: As explained above
-Sneaky Swipe: If they attack an enemy, levels 1-3, from directly behind them, they gain a +1 attack bonus.
-Howling Terror: All enemy creatures immediately around the Shadow wolf suffer a –1 moral penalty for 2 rounds.
-No enemy retaliation: The enemy cannot retaliate after an attack

Physical Appearance: The Shadow Hounds now have a black coat much like a panther, and their teeth, which now extend beyond the mouth slightly more than before, are now a yellow-red colour. There are also slightly larger in height than Shadow Wolves.

These fearsome creatures are extremely rare outside of the Vykavinco Empire. They attack with shear power, explosive swiftness and stunning dexterity, which leave no chance to for the enemy to retaliate. They are also sneaky creatures, which gives them an attack bonus against lower level units. When groups of Shadow Wolves patrol the area for intruders, at least one Shadow Hound is in the group. The Shadow Wolves treat Shadow Hounds with great respect, which allows the Shadow Hound to lead with ease.

3rd Level: Apprentice--> Enchanter

Apprentice

Special Abilities:
-Spell Caster
: Can cast certain spells at different levels of ability.

Physical Description: These Apprentices have light purple robes, which are slightly opened, which are lined with silver fabric. The apprentices also wear light blue undergarments that can be seen through the slight opening in the robes. They have short brown hair. They have a scroll in one hand. Appear to be around 18-20 years old.

Young children are given up by thier mothers and put on the road to becoming apprentices. Also pregnant slaves are taken into care and once the baby is born, it is taken from its mother. Only the first-born baby of each mother is taken, and when this happens, the woman is inflicted with a cut on the palm of her hand signifying this. All other children she bears will become slaves. The baby is untouched by teachings from Haven or other factions that the mother, or other slaves, may have passed on. So the child is “pure” and can start learning of the Vykavinco ways. The child is put on the path of learning and wisdom, and soon will become an Apprentice. Each year tests are conducted and the most promising children continue another year or learning. If they fail they become return to thier families, or if they were slaves children, they are orphaned. This is because just 1 year of teaching can start a possible revolt. So even though many children try, only few actually become apprentices. They cannot remember spells and as a result they can only cast spells from scrolls. This means that after several uses they must fight with melee weapons. They have low attack, slightly higher defense and average life. Their spells do make up for these statistical disadvantages.

Enchanter

Special Abilities:
-Spell Caster
: Can cast more spells than Apprentice with increased effectiveness
-No melee penalty

Physical Description:
These Enchanters are taller than the Apprentices and appear to be around 27-30 years of age. They wear dark purple robes, also lined with silver fabric. The undergarments are also light blue.

These Enchanters have gone through many years of study to reach their magical potential. They can memorize spells and cast them with effectiveness. In battle they have enough concentration to cast spells even when enemies are right next to them, making them tough opposition all times. They have average attack, a slightly better defense stat and an above average life amount.

4th Level: Valkyrie  --> Mounted Valkyrie

Valkyrie

Special Abilities:
-None

Physical Description
: Valkyries wear chain mail that reaches down below their hips and a basic helmet covering the top of their head with blonde hair coming out of the sides. They wield a spear and wear leather gloves. The spear handle is made of wood with a metal tip. They appear to be young women, age about 23-25

Valkyries are the trusted army of the Vykavinco Empire. They are the women of the higher classes who want devote their life to Gacilda by serving the Vykavinco Empire. They do a number of things such as dealing with disputes throughout the Vykavinco Empire, patrolling the area around the Vykavinco Empires for any other armies and extinguishing creatures that cause a threat to any allies, especially Vykavinconians. They have a high defense and above average health but below average attack.

Mounted Valkyrie

Special Abilities:
-Flying
: Allows unit to fly over obstacles

Physical Description: They are now mounted on a Pegasus, which has white wings. The Pegasus is also armored much like it is in HOMM 3. The Valkyrie now has silver plate armor, plate gauntlets, and chain mail greaves. Their helmet is provides facial cover but blonde hair still protrudes from underneath and they wear plate mail boots They now appear to be older, about 28-30.

Valkyries that have shown adept skill with a spear are given Pegasus mounts. These mounts are heavily armored and the Valkyries are given similar plate armor to protect themselves, because they are the most loyal creatures of the Vykavinco. They are better trained and have more experience and so their attack has increased to above average. However their defense decreases to above average because of the Pegasus, even though it wears armor, much of the Pegasus is still bare.

5th Level: Servant of Gacilda --> Warrior of Gacilda

Special Abilities:
Strict: the slaves’ ability “True Loyalty” is changed by the presence of Servants of Gacilda. The percentages change from 2.5% chance of attacking an ally and being enraged at the enemy to a 1% chance to attack an ally and a 4% chance to become enraged.
Gacilda’s Blessing: Servants of Gacilda receive special blessings from Gacilda when they worship him. In battle this blessing is transferred to the hero making all spells costing 1 mana less.

Physical Description: Servants of Gacilda wear brown leather armor, which can be seen through the opening of a sky blue cloak. This cloak reaches their ankles and the hood is always covering the back of their heads. They are armed with a brown whip.

Servants of Gacilda are common Vykavinco citizens that have decided to dedicate more time to Gacilda. attend to a few jobs within Vykavinconian Empires. They, being servants of Gacilda, clean and repair all things that are dedicated to Gacilda. These include attending to the Temple of Gacilda as well as shrines, statues and monuments. As part of their duties, Servants of Gacilda must tend to the Slaves. They use their whip to keep the Slaves in order. They also defend the Vykavinco Empire in battle using their whips. They are only basically trained but because of other duties but while tending to the slaves, they get to hone and practice their skills using the whip, making them quite deadly when times call for it. Part of tending to the slaves is trading them. When the richer Vykavinco families come to the Slaves Dens, Servants of Gacilda trade the slaves, which also makes them slave traders. They have an above average attack as well as average life and below average defense, well-rounded units.

Warrior of Gacilda

Special Abilities:
-Strict: the slaves’ ability “True Loyalty” is changed by the presence of Servants of Gacilda. The percentages change from 2.5% chance of attacking an ally and being enraged at the enemy to a 1% chance to attack an ally and a 4% chance to become enraged.
-Gacilda’s Greater Blessing: Servants of Gacilda receive special blessings from Gacilda when they worship him. In battle this blessing is transferred to the hero making all spells costing 1 mana less and all spell affects are increased by 10%.

Physical Description: Warriors of Gacilda now wear a crimson robe with the opening showing a slight glitter or chain mail. Their hoods are still worn on their heads and their weapons of choice are dual swords.

Warriors of Gacilda are Servants of Gacilda that believe they can further help their god by becoming more skilled in battle thus helping make the Vykavinco Empire greater. Warriors of Gacilda are now trained further in the art of combat making them fierce warriors. They still devote much time to Gacilda and tending to his shrines and temples as well as still keeping slaves in order, and occasionally selling them. But now they can fight battles better and with more skill, because of increased combat training, giving them greater pride to serve and thus being better representatives of Gacilda. This gives them great pleasure to know that the better they represent Gacilda, the more favored they become.

6th Level: Roc --> Thunderbird

Roc

Special Abilities:
-Flying
: Allows the units to fly

Physical Description: These creatures are large, towering birds. They have a light, desert brown color to their feathers that look slightly scruffy. Rocs also have a long sharp beak, used to attack.

These Rocs where originally neutral creatures that lived in the cliffs, near Vykavinco towns. Before the Time Scrolls where lost, an Adventurer by the name of Chelis Waunor, as well as a group of guards, traveled back to when there were only a few Rocs, before the Vykavinco Empire had formed. He found one of the Rocs habitats and stole a number of Roc eggs. Chelis then traveled back to his own time and the Roc eggs were hatched. The hatchlings then grew to love their human parents. The Rocs where then taught to fight enemies and Fly. Some Rocs where let go into the cliffs above Vykavinco towns, where they bred with wild Rocs. Eventually those Rocs came back with wild Rocs and so an alliance was formed between tame and wild Rocs. The Rocs now fight in the Vykavinco forces. They have a strong attack and good defense while their life is average.

Thunderbird

Special Abilities:
-Flying
: Allows the units to fly.
-Thunderstrike: There is a 25% chance that when the Thunderbirds attack, or retaliate, the opposing stack will be struck by lightning

Physical Description: These Thunderbirds now have small sparks flying off them and their beak seems to pulsate with electricity. They are slightly larger than Rocs and have dark, evil eyes.

Thunderbirds were created when an apprentice was trying to create a large ball of electricity outdoors. He was not able to control the large ball and so he threw it away before it exploded, which would have then killed many Vykavinco peoples. The ball happened to be thrown towards a particular Roc habitation and exploded outside the main entrance. The result was that the Rocs were not killed by the blast but rather absorbed the electricity that the blast gave off. Some of the Rocs could not stand the immense power inside of them and flew away, though to have gone crazy. Other Rocs however seemed unaffected and continued their life as normal. Various Vykavinco wizards studied this and many concluded that the spell the apprentice cast was a variation of a normal Lightning bolt spell. Thus instead of entering a living creature and leaving the body, resulting in death, the blast just enters the body and doesn’t leave. This spell was attempted and after several tries, the correct incantation was found. Thus any Vykavinco City that has the necessary resources can train an Enchanter to come and perform this spell and give the town Thunderbirds. Now when the Thunderbirds attack, they open their mouth slightly which releases some of that bottled up electricity. This slight release of electricity can sometimes be enough to attract lightning from above to the source of the release, thus hitting the opposing creature.

7th Level: Time Mage --> Time Arch mage

Time Mage

Special Abilities:
-Spell Caster
: Can cast Various Spells. (Haste, dispel, as well as 2 other Destruction spells)
-No Melee Penalty: Does full Damage in Melee combat
-Ranged: Ranged Attack

Physical Description: Time Mages wear a long gray robe, which has the Vykavinco symbol, colored blue, on each forearm and a larger version on the front of the robe. The robe is so long and low that it will touch slightly overgrown grass. They have an oak wood staff, with a small emerald at its pinnacle, in their right hand. Their left hand is free and helps with spells and two-handed staff attacks. They have long gray beards reaching a little below their chins. Their hair is also gray and reaches below the shoulders.

Time Mages have dedicated their lives to the art of magic. Time Mages are remarkably gifted Apprentices and Enchanters who have been identified as rare gems and therefore have been taught further skills. These skills include more complex and powerful spells to make the Vykavinco Empire superior. Time magic is much too hard to perform in battle and so they have reverted to using other means of balancing out everything. One such way is by using haste, to allow a creature to make extra attacks helping to even out things. Another way to compensate for no time magic is “dispel” which can practically turn back time for a creature that has had a beneficial or curse type spell cast on them. On top of being supreme spell casters, they can also damage creatures with the emerald on top of their staff. The emerald has been enchanted and as a result can release bursts of compacted energy, which explodes with increased force on impact. They have a below average attack but average – high defense and above average life.

Time Arch Mage

Special Abilities:
-Spell Caster: Can cast Various Spells. (Haste, dispel, as well as 3 other Destruction spells)
-No Melee Penalty: Does full Damage in Melee combat
-Ranged: Ranged Attack
-Magic Mirror: Same as the spell

Physical Description: Time Arch Mages wear long silver robes, lined with blue and still having the Vykavinco symbol on each forearm and a larger version on the front of the robe. The symbols are still colored blue. In their right hand is a longer, more aged oak wood staff.  The oak wood staff now has a large sapphire at it peak that is a deep azure color. Their beard is now white and reaches down below the chest. Their hair is also white and reaches down to the middle of their back.

Time Mages are rare and only few Enchanters are ever good enough to become one. But of those Time Mages that do succeed, a few more of them take things to the next level and become Time Arch Mages. To become a Time Arch Mage, Time Mages must devote even more of their time to the Vykavinconians. They must train and study harder to increase their magical capabilities and become great Arch Mages of Gacilda. This is not easy and it does cost the Vykavinco Empire much gold and resources but benefits are a dominant creature on the battlefield.

Time Arch Mages are the strongest creatures in the Vykavinco Empire. They can cast 5 spells all of which are powerful and greatly help any army and their silver robe also reflects spells, resulting in the “Magic Mirror” ability. Their ranged ability is also nothing to laugh at, being able to do significant damage. On top of this they have no melee penalty, allowing Time Arch Mages to do immense damage through spells, their ranged ability and through their staff in melee combat. This makes for a truly powerful unit to represent the Vykavinco.

Campaign Story:

in general, it is about a young woman, who is learning to be an enchanter, so she can one day be a Time Wizard. She also happens to be one of the families that live in one of the richer districts of town. She passes her tests and becomes an enchanter. at this time her best friend dissapears. in latin

Time Masters = vicis vinco

from "vicis" i got "vica" then changed the "i" to "y" and the "c" to a "k". then i just changed to other i to an "a" this makes the "Vyka". then vinco is unchanged

so it becomes Vykavinco

level 5 creature?

Something with ranged attack would fit in here.  An assassin? They could also act as someone who keeps the slaves in line and stops them from revolting?  This really is an evil town!!

Just an idea, feel free to ignore it

the creature line up looks like this:
1: Walker
2: Walker
3: (need some ideas with this one, most likely another walker)
4: Ranged Magical unit
5: Ranged unit
6: Flying
7: Ranged Magical unit

i dont know if a ranged unit would best fit in there, since that would make 3 powerful shooters. My fault though, there is no info on the Time Mage. But i really like that idea of a unit that keeps the Slaves in line, so they dont rebel.

What about a valkyrie on a pegasus, that would fit on nicely at level 5 making the line up like so

1: Walker
2: Walker
3: (need some ideas with this one, most likely another walker)
4: Ranged Magical unit
5: Flying Unit
6: Flying Unit
7: Ranged Magical unit

that still looks a bit strong, since none of the top 4 are walkers. so i was thinking, what if i pushed the Apprentice --> Enchanter and Valkyrie down to Level 3 and 4???

1: Walker (slaves)
2: Walker (shadow hounds)
3: Ranged Magical unit (enchanter)
4: Flying (valkyrie)
5: (walker, servant of *time god* --> Warrior of *time god*
6: Flying (roc)
7: Ranged Magical unit (time mage)

Tell me does this look better, and more balanced???

any feedback is welcome and wanted to make the town better

I guess the Time Mage's ultimate spell is some kind of time-travel, like repeating the battle if his army is lost?

suggestion: Wormhole, not a creature but the name has connection with time-travel

i am still writing the history but here is the jist of it. the time scrolls were lost, and so the Vykavinco can no longer go back in time freely. the Time mage however can cast certain spells to balance out what shouldve happened if they could control time.

eg, they can heal allies, which wouldve happened if they had been able to go back in time and stop the troops from ever being attacked

the magic hero can cast a time spell though

Cool, i imagine the animation is probably like this, a stack of archer is shooting your wolf. But before the arrow hit the wolf, a copy your hero appears out of thin air on the arrow's trajectory, deflecting the arrows. The real hero is still on his/her place when this happen, e.g. you have two heroes! And then several turns later, your real hero disappears, now the army has only one hero again.

imho

Here goes...

Level 3 could be a slave trader upg assassin.  This is a ranged unit that maybe could carry a whip for melee attack.

It's really important to get all the creatures to fit the theme of the castle so I would have to read a description of the Valkyrie before commenting

Not sure if you were thinking about going down the Dr Who track but if you are here is a really good link that lists ALL the alien creatures ever on the show (it also has other mythical creatures)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_aliens

(There is more than just the dalek here!)

The creature outline (walker, ranger etc) looks more balanced

actually i was thinking of another spell used in combat by the Time Wizards. it is like a time warp or something. what happens is all the creatures in a 3x3 area go back in time 1 turn. so all damage done is reversed to all creatures in that area. also any spells cast, good or bad, are undone and if there was movement, the creature goes backwards to the last square there were on before they entered the 3x3 area

lol, my 2 friends love dr who but all i know is TARDIS, which they have to explain to me often. i was never planning to go the dr who way, since i know very little. i just wanted to combine time with HOMM, but i will definatly look at the site

lol

but seriously now, about the line up, i think that the following looks better and balanced

1: Walker (slaves)
2: Walker (shadow hounds)
3: Ranged Magical unit (enchanter)
4: (walker, servant of *time god* --> Warrior of *time god* OR Slave trader --> Rogue
5: Flying (valkyrie)
6: Flying (roc)
7: Ranged Magical unit (time mage)

i cant use asssasin, as the upgraded 1st level dungeon creature is already called assassin, but i think rogue is close enough

(just thinking, what about if the servant of Gacilda was a slave trader. like they are a combination of slave traders and servants of gacilda, i think i will make a creature like this, and see what u guys think is the best )

please post comments about the new line up

ps, future plans: valkyrie aswell as rogue trader and servant of Gacilda (the time god) should be up in the next 18 hours, aswell as the history

Though I don't get why the wolf transforms into a dog, shouldn't it be visa versa?

the shadow wolf --> shadow hound

well its that when i think of a wolf compared to a hound, i imagine the hound being bigger, stronger and more dangerous. also an alternate meaning for hound in actually hunt. in the detailed part of the shadow wold/shadow hound story, it says that they hunt and patrol to keep thier whole town secret

IMHO

The descriptions are good  The start of the history makes sense; I am sure you will tie all the creatures in to it before you are done.

I am not sure about having the roc as a level 6 creature.  Not sure why I feel this way exactly I would probably swap it with the Valkyrie and give them some extra ability??

I am really searching for things to suggest... it really is fine the way it is.

i posted this in the original thread, but here it is for you to read through quickly, any feedback is not only welcome, but wanted

Servant of Gacilda --> Warrior of Gacilda

Servants of Gacilda attend to a few jobs within Vykavinconian Empires. They, being servants, clean and repair all things that are dedicated to Gacilda.
