Burned flags!
The arabs, practicaly palestines are brurning nordic flags and are treathening and killing Danish and Norweigan people as well as my compatriots (The Sweds) in the region. The resason for this are so extermely boring, a danish magasine publized a image of Muhammed. This cannot be answered whit anything else that a bloody vengeance! Hamas are responsebile for this and I hope that they will be casted out of the Palsestinian region soon. I also hope that Amarican solides invade Iran. (they have aldery disvcovered that Iran has nukereal weapenons) Longe live the Western contries!!!

Flag burning should be outlawed. People who are stupid enough to burn flags takes away another nation's sense of pride and are targets of further racism.

Boring reason? I'm not Muslim but considering the offensive context in which a religious figure was portrayed, the Islamic world has the right to be angry.

First of all, there is no proof of any nuclear weapons, only the suspicion of a veiled weapons program. Second, if you actually bothered to spare a single neuron from your brain to consider the consequences of an unjustified unilateral invasion, then you would realise it is indeed a very ugly idea.

Publishing those pictures was a provocation of course, but the freedom of speech allows it. The publication of the pictures attacked the muslim tradition, and the flag burnings and ethnoclensing threats of some muslim countries attacks the free world.
I just think its nice that the western countries dont respond in the same way for the muslim attack as the muslim did against the picture attack (like: bojcott the arab world, demand all arabs leave their countries, burn arab flags etc.). Someone has to be the adult.
People should just live their lives as best they can, and let others do the same.

If I had a nickel for every time somebody tried to burn an American flag then I'd be rich. And I'm not only talking about foreigners either, our own people do it just as often. It's against the law but people still do it.
Does it mean anything to me? I'd say no. Take those arab children they showed dancing in the streets after september 11th. I think they were burning a flag too but I dont recall exactly. A bunch of radical wannabe-noticed people with anger managment issues aren't going to get my attention. But if I see the leader of a nation take our flag and burn it then I expect a war.

That is a provocation, and I dont know if the rules alows that. Anyway; yes I want to se american soliders in Teheran! There was no proof that Iraq had any biological weapenons when the americans invaded, even if they had proofs on that Saddam had have some in the 70-ts and 80-ts. Of course Bush invede them for oil! And now, he can invade Iran to and liberate the world from the ruthless Ayttola.

Well, if you think about it - who makes US flags? Mostly USA. So... in order to burn the US flag you need to have one first, right? That would involve someone buying that flag at some point of time. There ya go. Whoever burns US flags actually helps US economy, lol.

Do not put words in my mouth. I said they have the right to be angry, not that it is right to threaten acts of violence. You also seem to be extremely biased as to the extensiveness of how spiritually insulting this cartoon is to muslims. They may consider the cartoon to be as provocative or even worse than flag burning or violent threats.
The West thinks its their freedom to publish such cartoons. The Middle East thinks its their freedom to violently demonstate. It's a vicious cycle.

If I understand your logic correctly, you're saying the USA should invade Iran with a half-assed reason simply because they have done so in the past with Iraq?

Well i'm danish.. And i was about to create a thread about this today, but i wasn't fast enough i see.. but..
I'm glad that the danish paper called Jyllandsposten(The Jutland Post) posted those 10 pictures, and i'm hoping that ALL OTHER papers do the same.
They are trying to take away our freedom of speech, and thats some bull.. faeces.
As a Christian, should i go balistic everytime some satanist heavy metal band sings about how christ should die? If yes, i'd have a full schedule all ready.

I hope this will be used to drive ut all moslems frome the north! Al-qauida will shuerly make a terrorist attack in some nordic city, and the only thing that can we can do is to cast all moslems out and don't give anyone from the middle east rigth to settle in our lands! Sweden needs to remilitarise and join the NATO-pact! For Danmark its easy, just follow USA when they invade Iran, Paleztina or maby Syria. (It's unclear where they will attack next, I think Iran!

Fortress_fan its not gonna be like that. They are gonna live here, and slowly adapt. The only alternative to finding a way to live together is the total annihilation of one party due to technological progress (aka atom bomb 2.0) making permanent conflict impossible.
Not all muslims are terrorist either. But I think we should be harsher towards them when they force people of other nationality out of their countries. The same standards should apply to them as to us, and forcing other nationalities out (like theyre doing in palestine with the danes and norwegians + innocent swedes) is a form of ethnic clensing and damn racist behaviour. But somehow people don't expect these arab countries to not be racist, I wonder why. Its weird and its disgusting.

TheRealDeal's reactions are quite understandable. Since he is a Dane, his national pride and believes are hurt. I understand you.
Now this whole thing revolves around freedom of speech. The cartoons which were printed in the newspaper were no doubt offensive to muslims. The thing is that the Koran forbids showing the face of the propher Muhamed, since he himself forbode it. It is one of their rules that has not been abandoned and is still sacred. No doubt showing Muhameds face and with a turban wraped around a bomb is a HUGE offense. It would be as if the Pope was printed having sex with Jesus in a picture.
Whoever allowed them to be printed must have been out of his mind, since it he or she must have know it would cause an immediate internacional incident.
And since the Muslim community is one tighly controled by clergy and still living in a fundamental state of mind, it was clear they would react this way.
These cartoons, even if they weren't ment to be offensive, were way over the line and far beyond. Realy to a muslim it mus be extreeme.
But on the other hand the publisher was perfectly allowed to since it is correspodent to his Free speach and freedom of press. But still, it wasn't right.
In order to understand the whole story you have to at least try to understand the other side.
Now as for Fortress_fan. You are absolutely extreeme. To me you sound as a junior member of C18, B&H or some very extreeme rightist group. You realy need to cool down. This is not the first time. There is something dearly wrong in the way you think, I recomend that you dearly put some thought into your belives, words and actions or I'm affraid that you have no place in this community or any normal social group.

I can see why someone would be offended by the cartoons but I just wish people would concentrate on the majority of muslims who quite sensibly dismiss the cartoons as the work of ignorant heathens and think nothing more of them. Only a small minority think taking violent action about this kind of thing is wise but extreme minorities always get more press than moderate majorities. Playing on people's inner fears and prejudices sells papers it seems.

I'm sorry but if you run round advocating ethnic/religious cleansing every few posts you're going to find yourself in trouble here. Out of extreme paranoia you are advocating that people should be treated not on what they do but on what you assume they will do due to their religion. It's sad to see that such attitudes still prevail amongst some people.
Oh and a lot of muslims don't even come from the Middle East either, in fact in Britain 3 out of the 4 bombers were born in Britain of Pakistani descent and the fourth wasn't from a Muslim upbringing and he came from the Caribean. So unless you're planning a ban on freedom of religion you will not prevent Muslims entering or residing your country.
Or perhaps you'd prefer it if you simply ejected anyone who either is a muslim, is descended from muslims, or who comes from a predominately muslim country?

1. Some people take their religon highly seriously, and they can burn whatever the hell they want to, even without provocation.

3. And as for forcing people out of their country, I do believe they have the right to choose who lives in their country and who doesn't.
