Heroes V for Mac OS X

Ok, well, I have Mac OS X and not a lot of games work for it and I was wondering if it's coming out for it. I'd appreciate an answer.

I don't know much about macs so I don't know whether this includes OS X.

YES! Rejoice! According to this it will be released before January 2007.

It will certainly be OS X (as was H4). This is interesting if you want to know about Mac ports.

Thanks

Yeah, thanks a lot man, it just sucks that it isn't coming out until 2007 though, but maybe I get a new computer by then, here's hoping.

If my dad can swipe me a PC before than, I might save up for that. . .or just play HoMM 5 on my dad's machine.

Hello Back

Truth is, it wasn't too funny hanging around HC when everyone else was enjoying Heroes 3D and my Mac H2 only had 12 spells or so, though H3 was nice. But now all it all changed because Apple designed the PC paragon: You can have it all! And best of all: It's s i l e n t.

So, I got a Mac Pro Core Duo 2.66 GHz. I left the vanilla graphics card because the others had noisy fans to veil their greed. It goes like that: Download Boot Camp. Clickclickclick and - voila - there's the drivers CD and your HD gets FATtened or whatever. Then the annoying part: You have to buy a "Windows Home Edition with Service Pack 2" (please memorize completely ) and it costs you a lot of money - again, if you have already ventured into Virtual PC and bought one without SP2, like me . Then the great moment. Insert the Windows CD, restart and dive into the blue uglyness to remain there some time. Wow, that pixely setup screen really looks ancient! Why does it have to? Nobody knows. Then insert the Apple Drivers CD, try to install only once and restart again. Aaah - it's magic: It works flawlessly! Press option/alt while starting up and then start into Windows or don't and start into Mac OS. That's all. From then on, everything on the Windows side is as it should be, I suppose. H5 installs and plays without any problem and runs very fluently while all graphics is set to max.

I enjoy getting back to you and have been reading along some time already. Thanks to LegendMaker for actually calling me back, thanks to FOG for wondering where I left and to others for remembering me while stumbling over my traces (stealth edit, for one).

I love H5 by the way, though the lame AI causes some premature boredom in SP if I'm not mistaken. But the graphics are truly catching and some gameplay features are really innovative and very nice.
