according to Marvel vs DC, Aquaman... Namor just doesn't find dirty.. now, throw Sue Richards into the mix and prince uptight will kick the blondie around...
Batman or Captain America:
M vs DC says tie.... i say batman would wipe the floor with caps
Swamp thing or Man thing:
a tie most probably... and a whole new definition of mess...
Batman or Daredevil:

Hands down Deadpool, he can recover from his head being cut off... nuff said.
Quicksilver Vs Flash
Lets do some math:
Quicksilver Moves up to 75 miles per hour (WOW!)
Flash can move up to the speed of light..... on a slow day (Double WOW!)
BUT!!! The flash's powers are nullified if he's in the marvel universe... so in the marvel universe Quicksilver would win.
Hawkeye Vs. Green Arrow
That's a tough one but I think I'd go with green arrow. He has more experience and has dealt with badguys all the time. Hawkeye used to be a badguy. Plus Hawkeye is now dead.
Lobo Vs. Ghostrider
Obviously Lobo... he beat Superman, dude.
Iron Fist Vs. Black Cat
Uhhh... that's a weird pair up. Iron fist is a fighter, whereas Black Cat is a thief, so Iron Fist would destroy her.

You are correct about the actual battle.
And Lex is no longer the President, after he confessed to almost wiping out Metropolis by trying to give it to Darkseid.

In all fairness, Ultimate Marvel is not very powerful. The most powerful characters that have shown up are Namor, Galactus (who isn't NEARLY as powerful as the 616 version), Possibly Thanos, and Thor (Again, not as powerfull as the original continuity's counterpart).
Though I agree with you about content in general. Ultimate Marvel's stories are:
A) More Believable
and
B) More interesting
