Im making a map (campain) on CAstlevania Dawn of Sorrow. Sadly, i cant find some castlevania creatures on castlevania

God, I've havnt been on in a while. I can tell this by the fact that when I looked at my profile, it said I was 13. I'm almost 15 now. God, time flys by, don't you agree?

I've never played castlevania so I cant really tell you anything, but I heard its a fun game and I personally think that when it comes to HOMM the more content the better.

I was thinking for a heroes 3 barbacia we could make a Pit lord purple, give it a sythe/ a spear, and give it wings. Ta Da!

Great Idea!
This is a great idea in my opinion. I have always loved the castelvania storyline and creatures. However it is a copywritten theme. One cannot simply superimpose its themes to the world of Heroes of Might & Magic. It would be a violation of the law. But disregarding this, I would say it is a very good idea. The only way to implement it would have to be through some form of underground gaming medium where legality is not much of an issue. You could relate it to underground clubs where they illegally mix copywrited songs. The music is masterfully mixed and played and the people who go there love it. But things of that nature cannot be broadcast to the open market without some serious repercussions from infringement attorneys.
Great idea though!

Err, this is more than mildly disturbing imo 
How does a free custom mod on a 7 year old game violate any laws? Wog is amazing, and in my opinion the WoG team and friends have taken an already great game to the next level. I've enjoyed playing WoG more than Heroes 4, much more even. Seeing these new towns develop and grow, even if snippets and things might be copied from or inspired by things elsewhere, I can only say good job! 
Laws should be there to allow groups of people with different interests to live beside or with each other with the least amount of possible conflict. I don't see why laws or regulations should even be considered at all here. For crying out loud, you might aswell kill all initiative with legal issues 
Back on topic, anybody remember the punagushi? Was some sort of plant shaped like a hand and it threw eyeballs. Don't remember what console it was on exactly though

I'm only speaking of the act of 'mixing' copywrited material. Profit from mixing two copywrited entities here in the U.S is illegal. (even though it happens regularly) I know how much you love American capitalism Nidhgrin  so I won't bore you with the details.
I still think it would be a fun mixture of themes. I would also love to see Baldur's Gate creatures and themes mixed into a Heroes of Might & Magic setting.

Unless I'm mistaking though, no one is trying to make money out of this other than owning respect from the fans of WoG and cooperation from those inspired to help develop new features. Would blending copyrighted material still be a problem in a no profit situation?
The whole Baldur's Gate realms would make a fine mix with heroes. Some of the artifacts and spells used in BG (basically DND) could be integrated into the heroes world quite nicely - flavor wise
Edit: the above post proves once more that (un)dead people can write faster than humans!

American capitalism is very complex and yet staggeringly simplistic with its end to a means of . . . getting more money . . . (who would've guessed). Here in America people can be prosecuted from indirect profits as well. There's a sickening thick library-sized set of procedures people have to follow to keep the government from seeking financial retribution. That's why lawyers are rich. They actually read and study all that nonsense.
