Weekly Library Question____15 / 06

Same style as last week. Which if these statements are true, which of them are false (with explanation please).
Everything refered to Heroes Complete.

1. There does exist at least 1 unit below level 6 which isnīt affected by slow.

2. If every hero would start with only 1 single unit (correct alignments are not important), and no unit will appear twice, there will still be heroes left, whithout any unit in his/her army.

3. The maximum amount a stack of wandering creatures on a random map week 1 can consist of, is "swarm".

4. There are more heroes starting with the "slow" spell than with "magic arrow".

5. There do exist many heroes with spell-speciality. But only 1 spell refers to 3 different heroes, while all others refer to 2 or only 1 hero.

1. I believe the balista is a lvl 2 unit

4. Wrong.

Heroes starting with magic arrow: 11
Heroes Starting with slow: 6

Not even close

5. Wrong. Cuthbert, Olema and Mirlanda Specialize in weakness while Terek, Brissa and Cyra specialize in haste.

2. Amount of different units: 141

Amount of different heroes: 155 (or 144 if the expansion heroes except Sir Mullich are not allowed.)

So the statement is correct. There will be 14 or 3 heroes left without creatures. Even more if the portrait-only heroes count, too.

@Zsa: Ballista is a level 4 unit because the specialty works as if it was a level 4 unit. Why would you think it is level 2? Because it replaces a level 2 army? Using that logic gnolls, golems and even basilisks are level 2 as well.

@angelito: nice questions. This is the first week where I can't answer a single question aside from the ones already answered

Does the unicorn resistance aura stack ? You could surround battle dwarfs with them to get some very high resistance.

Don't think, there is a creature, that is immune w/o help, cause there is no speed 1 creature.

3. I think the highest number you can meet on a random map week 1 is throng. Never seen swarm or something close to swarm anyway.

3. According to the map editor the max for random map is 50. For a custom map it's 9999

Either way 3 is false.

throng of walking dead blocking the second area my second last game. So going by map editor is not a good idea bin . That was week 1. I can't say i've ever seen (or remember seeing anyway) swarms of wandering monsters week 1 tho

That's true.

So what's the highest number you can put in the rmg? And how many creatures is that? I don't know rmg design.

(and I'm too lazy to dig through all the rmg threads to find out)

For question 1 I don't see any unit that is immune to slow, no unit is immune to earth too but the question is : what does mean unaffected? An archer with speed 4 (2 if slowed) will always play after the other units (allies or ennemies) if those have speed 5 or higher. So in that case he is in effect unaffected .

Compare with other creatures, they  are not affected by slow.

The order of movement does not change, but the rate of movement does. You can't ignore that.
