HOMM 5 Classes

Some people are still a bit confused on how to play Heroes 5 properly so i am here to help. every few weeks i will take you through some basic of Heroes 5

Todays Class is on. . . Preparing For Battle

Preparing for battle is a vital part of the Game. If not done correctly, battles can be very tough to win, even if you have the stronger army. I will take you through a few simple things that will help any army become stronger before the battle even begins

Lesson 1: Salute You Hero

Saluting you hero is something all creatures must do before battle. It ensures that the hero has the creatures loyalty. Heroes from the Inferno are all so angry because thier creatures never salute them. This extreme anger causes them to take flame and go crazy. So always salute your hero.

Below we see a Colosus saluting. There is a reason that he is a Level 7 unit ya know

Lesson 2: Bring Warm Clothing

Battle fields can get extremely cold so always bring warm clothing. Even if you are on fire, like Horned Overseers, bring something warm. and if you fight in the cold you might catch a cold, which is bad preperation for a battle (see next lesson). you know what they say, "A warm army is the best army". so stay warm. it is one of the easiest things to do but the benifits in battle are gigantic

Pictured here is a Lich without a warm piece of clothing. Yes i know they are undead but if it gets cold enough, no one is safe.

Lesson 3: Fight While Healthy

Always fight when you are healthy. There is no point in fighting a battle if you use your turn to sneeze instead of attack. thats why creatures wait, they usually have a cold and they wait so they can sneeze while other creatures are moving. so always enter battle when you are in tip top health. either do that or die

Here we have a Colosus again. He has a bad case of gang green and chose to enter battle despite his sickness. as you can see he is very distracted by his sickness and wont see the enemy coming until it is too late.

Lesson 4: Teamwork

Heroes 5 is all about team work. you must work as a team with fellow creatures if you want to survive. If you dont work togther you may be isolated, and then you are an easy target for armies who do work together. So work together. Teamwork is the key

Teamwork is vital and these Colosus have learned to work as a team very well. They may only be looking out at the battlefield but it is still teamwork. This level of teamwork is the desired level for all armies. look at them look around. Thats Excellent Teamwork

That concludes todays lesson. if you do these small things before battle then you will surely have the edge over any opponent. It just that simple

last week i taught you how to Prepare for Battle. but what to do when actually in battle. this weeks class will deal with things you should and shouldnt do in battle. so...

Todays Class is on. . .Battling

knowing how to fight and battle properly is important. it can allow even the weakest army to prevail against an overpowering enemy. so take notes and learn as it may be the difference between you and your opponent.

Lesson 1: Being Brave

Some of the greatest Heroes ever have said that you must "Be Brave". in battle where do you see these great heroes??? at the back, letting thier brave soldiers die while they practice being cowards behind thier forces. let me make this perfectly clear. Being brave means being dead. dont be brave. that is why the great heroes where so great. they werent brave

Now here we see a golem being extremely brave. He is going to be attacked but still doesnt flinch.

so what happened to this brave golem???

Lesson 2: Be Deceptive

always try to trick your enemy. do what they least expect. if they thing you are going to punch them in the face. kick them in the groin. if they dont see it coming, then they cant defend against it.

Here is a great example of deception. here a black dragon lowers his head almost to the ground in order to make the blood fury think about defending her legs. this clearly leaves her face exposed.

Lesson 3: Till The End

In battle you will inevitably die. battle is just this thing that speeds up the death process. Whole factions dont fight because they want to conquer land or anything like that. they go to war because thier population is getting out of hand. so in battle, when you are dying, you must keep fighting, until your death. someone just stuck their sword in your stomach, you have to try and cut thier head off. its just common sense. so when you are dying. dont give up, try and take someone with you to the afterlife

here a paladin has been killed by a blood fury. instead of just dying then and there, he trys to take one last swing

Lesson 4: Learn When To Run

Now you must not be brave. so this means you must be a coward and so you must learn how to flee. if the enemy is too big, flee. if he is too small, flee. if he is to far away, has wings, has a weapon, looks kinda scary, might hurt you, wears clothes, then flee.

here is a blood fury. expert at fleeing. she is in quite a few of the above shots because she always flees thus, she stays alive. here she thinks to griffin is too scary, has wings, is too big and it might hurt her, so she is fleeing.

Lesson 5: Get Out Of The Way

This lesson is very simple. just get out of the way. someone tries to cut your head off, duck. someone tries to shoot an arrow at your legs, jump. just get out of the way and you will survive.

What happens if you dont get out of the way??? well a blade dancer wanted to see what happens if he doesnt get out of the way. i dont think i need to say that afterward he got a colossus headache

Todays lesson on Battling has ended. remember these simple lessons when you are in battle and there will be no enemy you can not defeat

Till next time, Goodbye

Lord P_C, I have decided to make a class. If u don't like it, then this will be my only class.

In battle, you use units. I am doing this to teach you to make wise choices about them with the skill known as Diplomacy.
Many Heroes have the Diplomacy skill and thus can get units from the wilds. Imagine a great force heading toward you, and you meet a group of creatures that will serve you for free or payment. if The creature group is from a different faction, they might have better stats, so hire them. If all you need is one more creature to become top dog between you and your enemies fast, you should also accept. many units are cowards, and will serve for free in return for their lives. some will decide that their service is needed and will try to wager a price out of you.
While I don't have any pictures and can't post them because I don't know how to, IMAGINE that a great army was heading toward you. Though you have 300 ArchAngels,  they still have more men. if other creatures from the neutral are near, try to attack them and see if they will join you.

Damn ... the picturs of Lord_PC's post are gone for me in this post - seems to bee the same problem as with the hidden text. If any of you can still see the pictures, can I ask you to be so kind as to save them on your local Hard Disc and send them to me later, so I can restore them from a hosting site which does not cause this problem?

Leave me a Private Message if you have the pictures.
