Sure more ppl would like and appreciate this mod, because most of the links are broken or just imbalanced in stats.Its very simple my question,just replacing the skins and keeping realism of knight animations (if is possible with the amazing scythe attack sound and maybe adding some of heroes 3 black/dread knight essence.Unfortunately, im not a modder so i cant perform it.

I don't have the game anymore, but I still have some death knights I made.




they are in the haven style, so not sure what you think about that...

Not what I was looking for, but still are good. I was thinking about these models.


The first one as basic tier 6, the red/purple one as Banshee and the green one as wraith.

Is there perhaps a version of this mod for Heroes 5.5? I just want Dark knights to replace Wraiths (T6) but for them to keep the same stats.

Certainly doable but not that straightforward for MMH5.5 as Black Knights are used in spawning with dragonblood crystals.

Also, from what I understand, Black Knights (or whatever you wanna call them) has only a single adventure map model, so there is no way to visually differentiate between base/upgrades.

Oh, I don't really understand what dragonblood crystals are and I ignore it, I prefer more autentic gameplay in that regard ( I never liked WoG either, it changes the game 2 much in a weird/bad way, HotA is amazing tho). So is there a way for me to disable those dragonbloods and creatures spawning in my heroes army and town? And replace the Wraiths with Dark knights?
As for the adventure model, can't it be created? I am no modder but it seems possible.

Dang it, you're right. It seems I haven't played Necropolis after dragonblood crystals. But I know one hero spawns Black Knights

So, OK, it should be easier than I thought. I'll look into it. What I would rather do now for this mod is 1) Make Spectral Dragons Neutral with Incorporeal specialty, 2) Make Wights et al. Tier 7 with current Dragons stats and specialties, 3) Make Knights et al. Tier 6 with current Wights stats and .

Sounds good?

Yes sounds good mate, but I would prefer to have Dread knights as T6 and Bone dragons as T7, and Wights as Neutral, I dunno myb I like heroes 3 rooster 2 much . Your idea is cool aswell!

That's cool but that is only one hero (and knights are hidden behind dragon crystals, can't purchase them like normal creatures). I would like the Dread knights to replace Wraith no matter which hero I chose. Dread knights look 1000% cooler than Wraiths in my opinion.

I would also like for knights to keep the same stats as Wraith.

Okay after years I am still unable to find a death knight mod that is working properly for me!

I have downloaded 3 different types of DK (which replace Wraiths but not stats) mod and they all seem to have the same probem.

I am playing HoMM 5.5 and DKs do replace Wraiths but their names are all buggy, one dosen't have a name at all and the other is still named Wraith.

On the other hand the Black knight neutral unit (which is now replaced with Wraith model) is still using Black knight name! It is so frustrating for a guy with slight OCD like me.

I would appreciate help, thanks in advance!

Search modding tutorials, I reckon names are just saved in a localization file and shoudn't be too hard to change.
