And now, a Spanish lesson, not that I know much Spanish but.........

I have found this interesting thing about the Spanish language.

1) The name Trinidad in Trinidad and Tobago means Trinity.

2) The Primera Liga futbol club Real Sociedad means Real Society

Which takes me to this point. Apparently English words with the -ty sufix is replaced with the -dad suffix or similar when translated to Spanish. Here's a list of words to try out.

Probabilidad
Possibilidad
Cidad
Sobriedad
Municipalidad
Sovereigndad
MighdadMage
Mike Dadson
Touch Dadping

Adding o at the end of words and the word el before nouns makes it sound spanish too

You forgot a very obvious one (I heard it in Simpsons, that Spanish Bee guy, who has his own show) - it's:

Electricidad

And, I'm not sure (what are your sources?) about Real Sociedad, since 'Real' in Real Madrid means 'king' as in 'The King of Madrid'. At least a Basque guy told me so, once...

Edit: Of course it would sound stupid as 'The King of Society', but maybe a more free interpretation (if Real is indeed King) would be 'Royal Society'?

Actually, all these words are of Latin origin. For example, both trinidad and trinity come from trinus.

Naturally, further derivation is not the same since derivational affixes are different in different languages.

These are common exceptions in linguistics, also known as false friends (pairs of words in two languages that look similar, but differ in meaning). For example, in English a mighty mage means a powerful wizard, but in Spanish el mighdad mage is a kind of traditional meal made of sour shiny testicles.
