Artist and Photographer Haven
Hello cuties. 
I have been dying, ever since my mysterious return to HC, to create a thread for artists, photographers, and people who love the gracious world of art. Who doesn't? (Excluding TnT of course).
So I have created a place where you can post and explain a piece of your own creations in detail and the rest of us can comment and critique! Easy huh? It can be anything from pencils, photoshop, paints, photomanipulations, scenery...etc. You can even throw in a little bit of poetry if you want. 
It doesn't matter if you're a beginner, an amatuer, or a master at the arts, I'd love to see some stuff posted! And I promise I'll post some of mine too if it comes down to it. (If you dare to see  )
And please. I know there are lots of rude, ignorant people around here (not pointing any fingers or anything,) but please, if you see something you totally don't like, you don't have to say it. Critique and comment but be appropriate. This isn't play school anymore. (Gasp!)
Someone please start us off!

Hey!
I remember Romana. Gone? How depressing. (I've missed too much!) 
I'm just going to jump start the thread a little, knowing that there aren't too many artists on HC. Please don't hesitate to critique! I won't be hurt.
Dream catcher-
This was dedicated to a good friend of mine. He told me of a dream he had, that he was catching ravens. The ravens each held a secret of the world but when he tried to catch them, they would only end up scratching him and clawing at his eyes.
So that is how I percieved it.

Wow. Well, I'm no artist, so I can't give any real comments, except that it looks pretty. I especially love the feathers and the shading around them.
I used to draw just for fun, but I was never really good at it. In middle school, our art teacher taught us to draw upside down. Something about how when your mind can't comprehend what it's seeing, you just draw exactly what you see and won't integrate your own style into it. It seemed to work rather well for me.
I did a little anime when I was back in HS. This is something from around that time. The drawing part only took a few days, but the shading took weeks.

Beautiful Iris! Amazing expression! I draw anime as well, but I usually stick to realism. And I can't draw dragons for some reason.

It is especially nice to hear that someone can connect with something I have drawn. That's one of my goals in art, that I won't be the only one that understands what I am trying to show.

I don't mind if you print them, no. I will post more once we have other people posting their art here. I don't want to make it my thread by mistake.

I love the pic you drew of the fantasy setting on that page. Very nice detailing. I cant even begin to draw a back round of any sort because my patience doesn't last.
About how long does a picture like this take for you?
So you use ink and graphite I am guessing? Those are my essentials as well.

I drew it for a friend, who was supposed to buy it, but never did. So being a big The Doors fan, I put it up on my wall.

Ah good ole Jim Morrison.
Energetic smart kid who not only loved to read & write Poetry, but he also loved art & draw it as well.
He also loved to mess with Authority as you may of known already, so he loved to get into trouble alot.
