Okay, you know those black whip-like things that horseriders tie around horses' necks so they can direct it and hold on better? Those are reigns(you might be getting confused with the other reign, which refers to a king's rule). But really, change the rider and the baskilisk. Baskilisks are not dragons and it looks wierd.
