Glade Quotes
Basically you quote someone's post in an RP, then the next person guesses who said it and in what thread, then they choose a quote. One point for a correct answer.
I think it will be a good way to remember and revive old threads and the quality posts within them. If you can find a post which you think is really good, then quote it and everyone can go find it.
I think we should stick to In Character threads, and try not to make it too obvious as to who it is like using names or something in the quote.
Score:
Lith Maethor- 1
Gom Jabbar- 1
Dragon Slayer- 2
Shadowcaster- 3
Woock- 1
RSF- 2
I'll start us off:
Who said:
Quote: The drunken man lurched back, moving nowhere from the vicegrip, and screamed "No! You must not damage the goods! You must not damage them!" He frantically struggled to get away, finally slipping free of the death knight's grasp and stumbling over to a nearby tree.

I'd like it if people didn't pull up too many things from the Saga, because almost no one other than Shadowcaster and Sir Dunco has read any of that.

Correct.
I dno if we should keep score or anything?
Who said:
Quote: For years they had been hunted in these parts and still a number of them remained. Their rituals were terrible in practice for they held nothing dear. Not even their own kin. Without a second thought they would grab a child like a bag and toss it over their shoulders to be carried away for sacrifice. It was once said that they do this to fall back into the graces of their former dark lord who threw them from his kingdom eons ago.

He's good.
You guys can put quotes as well!
I'll start keeping score. But we should only have 1 quote at a time.
Quote: The "nomadic" settlement had already been way behind the party, when the sun hid itself under the shadowy-grey darkness of nimbi. The raindrops clashed with the sandy road beneath the travellers' feet, raising a cloud of suffocating dust. The road was getting somehow slippery and the horses had to pauze pretty often, so as not to fall down and drop their riders.

don't give up yet slaya
I really like this one:
Quote:
They will raise a new Midgard from the seas. It will be lush as a dream. Food will be abundant. The fields will harvest themselves. The Sun, which had been eaten by one of the Great Wolves, has born a Daughter. No one needs to be hungry, no one needs to be cold. All evil is washed away by the sea. Midgard is washed clean. A new world can begin!

This one is easy.
Quote:
Ori-jak's hands opened, and he lifted the totem-stone to present it to Karn, then he stopped staring at it. A gasp went up among the chiefs as Karn beheld his first glimpse of the totem-stone he would wear for the rest of his life. He hardly heard the echoed gasp of the assembled tribes as they too glimpsed his new totem-stone. Thrown into sharp relief by the bonfires was the shape of a lightning bolt, made out of black stone, and glinting in the redness of the fires.
You guys should get this one no problem.

Yeah that was some of the best writing this forum has seen. Chapter 1 could be published as a short story.
I wish he could have written more.

hm...........
how about:
Quote: No civilizations have been found to the west. No one has dared cross these wretched. Yet as of recent, it seems that people are now visiting these lands seeking refuge as if where they dwelt crossing those lands they were better off. They speak of strange bubbles that have overtaken their lands, having changed them as if the bubbles were turning them into separate realities. The causes are unknown and they seem to be growing little by little everyday, slowly overtaking the lands, mutating them, turning them into something unnatural. They say an immenant threat that has overtaken their lands will soon do the same to the entire world.

Quote: he winked, pressing two "buttons" on the items he then reached out and what seemed to be a whip of blades cut through the bottles on the bar, the next moment he was on his feet and deflecting a dagger with the same blade whip as the 'tender was not too fond of the display, as he ran out he was heard laughing

yep.
Quote: All had gone as planned in the meeting.
Those who he had known would bluster and balk had blustered and balked.
But his well prepared arguments laid them on their heels.
Those who he could be sure of had expounded his 'virtues' and wit. His charisma and his fearlessness.
Yes the meeting had gone well. There was just the matter of the ballot to be held in three days time.
The Council of the Anointed would vote and whoever they chose would be the new Holy Commander.

Asmodean in Height of the Guild.
That was easy. I knew it by the end of reading the first sentence.
Edit: Here's the next one...
Quote: Necromancy was a forbidden art in this realm, but he was willing to sacrifice all he had, just so he and his wife could be together again. He took the Katana over to his wife, and grabbed her wrist. He located one of the main arteries and slowly peirced his wives arm. She got stone cold, and all body warmth left her body. Nothing else happened.
Edit Again: Great Idea making this thread. I know it's just a copy of the other thread, but I like this one a lot more. This is SWEET!

2X in The Chronicles of the Unholy One. The katana was a dead giveaway.
Here's an easy one:
Quote: mvass:Need some help with the bear?
Mvass:Yeah, thanks.
Mvass:Are you going to sacrifice it?
Mvass:Yes.
Mvass:I suggest you sacrifice something else. Bears aren't spiritualy strong. How about you sacrifice the God of Spam? He's spiritualy strong.
Mvass:That's a good idea.
Mvass:What is mvassilev doing in here?
Mvass: he's just telling me who to sacrifice.
Mvass: Dingo would also do.
Mvass:I don't want to be sacrificed!
Mvass:Traitor! You must be willing to do anything to make me stronger! *summons spam demons* Kill him!
Mvass:I know! We should sacrifice mvassilev! He's spiritualy strong. *looks around. mvassilev is gone* Where did he go? Ah, well, we'll just sacrifice Dingo.
