Love your world? Don't pollute it!
Yeah people, if you love your world, one thing is sure that you shold not destroy it
I'm sure lots of our HeroesCommunity memebers don't pollute the world, but that's a general info.
Global Warming:
Yup. Global warming is a really BIG problem. About 10-60 years, if it goes like that, we'll be ****ed up A total of 30 (as i remember) megatonnes of ice has been melted in the polars. That's bad, as we mean 2 milimeters ( ) rise for sea level. It is a "critical" level for micro-organisms. Here lots of very poisonous jellyfish comes closer to beaches, for that "tiny" warming in the water. People, please don't use CFCs or any other things that makes ozone layer hole bigger. Please don't use cars for short distants that you can walk. Oh this is for air polluton
Water Pollution:
A lot of people already realized and protect the world, but some people are not. Water Pollution is one of the 2 big pollutions along with air pollution. There is a lot of trash in some waters. Mosquito dwell in those swamp-like waters and that's annoying We have already enough pollution, don't add new ones. The worst of Water Pollution is petroleum. Tankers that carrying it sink and it's over. Don't throw your garbage in water, please. It is a very big problem. If we continou, where will we swim, where will we get our water from Hope you have realized
Air Pollution:
Factories sound familiar with this one? Of course! Air pollution has surrounded our world. Sometimes, when i look at air, i see a brownish air. Bad. Means a very polluted air. We should prevent it How? Stop using vheicles that cause smoke-Like cars-in short distances that you can walk! Tell factories to filtre the smoke. Don't smoke! It harms both you, people that are close to you and air There are companies that helps you stop smoking. Take a look at your city, you will see some of them
Recycle:
OK people, please do that! That prevents a dirty world a lot! Ten recycled papers means 10 free paper without cutting down a tree. And imagine 1.000.000 people recycling their papers. Imagine the whole world doing that We even don't have to cut a tree down for billions of papers!
Dear HC, i love my world and so lot of you do. Please protect it, and warn people that don't protect it

If others do love our world, then why do they still pollute it?
You said "i love my world and so you do" is that meant to be "i love my world and so do you" if it is then thats false, because for example if I polluted this world, then that wouldnt be loving it now would it?
That line is false, in my opinion.

You can love your world and still pollute it thats quiet possible. But NOT good.
Also editted my post (Your quoted line) for don't make people misunderstand it

Sometimes we can do nothing about it but lessen the ammount of wastes that are produced.Even though with a reduction it's more than the environment can take
First of all(I'm talking mostly about factories) we have to take into consideration the people that live in the region.Some places desperately need the development to improve their quality of life(which may simply be unacceptable in some developing countries) and the the jobs it can offer,reducing unemployment.
Then there is the power these people have to make a stand if the pollution is too high.If the factory's products are essential to them and can't get a substitute they can't really boycott without facing consequences.Pressure teams(?) as greenpeace can help.
Also what matters is who has the rights to the region.If it is the factory's owner not much can be done,but if not there can be a compromise to the ammount of pollution.Usually a money issue
Then there is the awareness of the government and what steps it can take.If the problem is known this matter can be resolved with the following ways:Make a fair tax(one that corresponds to the damage they cause) on the wastes to make the company reduce it on her own.Create a limit to the production of wastes.Impose on them an anti-polluntant technology.Make obligatory the neutralising or storaging of wastes.
These are the usual ones as even the government can't put a stop to this outright for various reasons.Not an easy task.

The real problem is that since we live such short lives, we tend not to think in the long term. The weather may be fine now, but we forget to think about the fact that our grandchildren may have no more forests or won't be able to enjoy a day at the beach.

Nobody thinks about that maybe our grandchildren WANT to live in a polluted world, because its like.. cool? We cannot force them to want to live in a clean nice world. We gotta listen to what THEY think..

There's a film named "The Day after Tomorrow"(or as i remember). It tells us what the world will become if we don't act to save the world. There is another film like that but i can!t remember it.
P.S. Did you ever heard Apophis? The meteor of doom. Scientist say "the meteor should hit Earth on April 2036".

What should those of us that believe Global Warming is more likely a short term phenomenon caused by a slight change of Earth's orbit around the sun from circular to ovoid creating hotter weather in spring and summer and cooler weather in fall and winter? Should we tow some politicaly driven party line like the rest of the environmental kooks that disown physics as a science in favor of quakery science?

Maybe we should devote mega bucks into capping all those underwater oil leaks that are entirely NOT manmade. You know, the ones that breach somwhere under the planets surface that is 7/8ths water anyway! I agree that tankers could be patrolled better, but as long as we are attempting to tame out of control weather created by natural physical phenomena we should at least crusade against these other natural underwater oil breaches that represent equal or more devestating oceanic effects, right? Those have been occuring unchecked since the birth of the world, and yet, they must be stopped in our lifetime! It's obviously now our duty to locate all naturally occuring radioactive and otherwise poisonous deposits such as mercury and plutonium and uranium and isolate their effects on the water table as well! We will send the bill to Greenpeace, they have unlimited funding right?

I also propose designing giant tupperware lids for all the active volcanoes in the world. If we "burp them" under controlled conditions maybe we won't get the overwhelming emmisions of poisonous gasses that these "naturally occurring phenomenon" tend to generate. Couple this solution with a form of methane bag collection not unlike the rubber water bottles used as douches in generations prior to ours and a methane collection system for the home and farm and wildlife preserves; for the the living creatures that break wind; designed to help turn that gas into a clean burning power source!

I actually love the idea of recycling and don't really want to blemish the idea with my alternative views on what all should fall into the recycling 'genre' plus it could get very disgusting.

Isn't it funny that threads like this go unlabeled as "left wing blather" but when someone disagrees with it; and posts their opposition to it; it gets labelled "right wing radio blather" instead of just recognizing it for what it really is: an alternative viewpoint.
