Cryo- and Pryrohydras
New idea! Cryohydras and Pyrohydras! The Cryo-'s breath an ice area attack, and the Pyro-'s breath fire!

Too much redundancy. It would be just like the Dragon thing. Red, Green. Black, Gold, Ghost, Bone, Rust, Azure,............
But it could be feesable for a differnet game. Maybe H2!!! Even though that's already out. My reasoning for this is, becasue 3DO, had not developed ideas fully, and could use a couple of estra creatures.
Great idea, though Saruman!!!

I think the dots where for those... About the hydras, I think one is enough (it's not because I don't like them, but then I also wan't several versions of elves, dwarves, minotaurs, trolls etc...). Different kind of dragons are okay though...

While I realize that much of fantasy is inspired by dungeons and dragons, I think it would be good to avoid blatantly ripping them off whenever possible. If your going to come up with an unusual creature it should at least be original.
Ignoring that, I don't think there is room for 2 types of hydra in H4. Where would they both go? What would be so distinct about them? Given that there only be a finite number of wandering monsters do you really want two of them to be slightly different hydra instead of more interesting monsters?

There's always use for another snake-like creature with multiple heads.
As can be seen from earlier releases they can be quite different. Only such a thing such as having four legs versus slithering forwards make a big difference. Both in how the creatures look and how it is animated.
I'd rather have 2-3 versions of hydra and the same amount of dragons than 5 dragons and 1 hydra.
There's also room for other new creatures in the game.

I don't know, somehow the dragon captures the imagination more then the hydra. But I have to admit I'd rather just have 2-3 dragons, 1 hydra, and use the other creature slots for new creatures.
Anyway correct me if I'm wrong, but H4 doesn't have 5 dragon types to begin with. I think they only have 2 (I'm not counting the dragon golem as a dragon).

Please guy.... All those stupid creatures are already in..... They should have succubus and Sphinx.. not stupid hydras with fire powers and ice powers.. They loook 10000% the same.. NO! but whatever. this won't happen anyway. Many creatures had indeed many elemental versions.. Like giants/Dragons and Genies.. But Hydras.. Only Might and Magic games show some Elemental Hydras.. There is only 1 hydra in mythology It's the son/daughter of echidna.. Lol! The hydra is brother to Chimera and The harpies Cerberus nemian lion and Ladon the giant snake of 100 meter with 100 heads. Lol echida did get some Nice looking kids! They all had multiply heads.. only the nemean lion and harpies had one.

What about making the Pyro-Hydra a Flying/winged RED hydra and the Cryohydra a blue hydra with a plesiosaur body or maybe a Moray eel body..
The cryo is sea
the hydra is land
the pyro is air.
