Co-Op Campaigns

I don't know if this topic has already been discussed in the past but I think that co-op campaigns would make an already awesome game even more so. Perhaps on another expansion this feature can be added. This also could be that driving factor that can bring the two stories of Heroes 5 and former Heroes games together with co-op since single player campaigns will contain the bulk of the continuation of Heroes 5 stories. This is a feature that has never been presented in a Heroes game before nor dicussed I believe... What do y'all think?

Cooperative. A cross between campaign and multiplayer. Could work, but not necessarily. Needs careful consideration is what I say.

How could it not work? I think it would be easier to do something like a co-op campaign using the hot-seat feature. I'm sure that it could work with online multiplayer but as you say it requires meticulous work. I personally think it's a fantastic idea.


Yes Co-Op means cooperative (sorry I assumed you guys already knew that) but now that you know what do you think?

of course it could work but the key is would it be succesful? certainly some mey enjoy the idea, but there will be certain new guidelines to completing campagins and if you will be playing this online one person may have completed their part of the campaign and the other person has not even gotten half way.. what will they do? just wait?? or waht if the other person fails the campaign for them, certainly this will upset a few people. maybe you can clear somethings up for me yann? i think its a good i dea but many issues could surface.

This is a good point but that has always been an issue with multiplayer co-op campaigns but usually players learn much from their defeats rather than their successes. I say that but I also say this, maybe near the begining of the campaign if one player loses the other one can continue and beat the level for that player. As the game progresses the players will go their own seperate ways and if one loses it's over. I think the early momemtum will make the co-op campaign more enjoyable.


As far as participation in the storyline the second player (or however many players there are although too many might drain the enjoyment of the co-op experience) will see the turn of the first player and therefore will see the "scenes" of the storyline relating to first player (and perhaps all players). As second player does his turn first player will then watch his/her turn and so on. Of course in hot seat this is inevitable but in online multiplayer (which might be tricky) initially players might not have to see each others turns until later in the game.

This is slightly complicated but it could work (not neccessarily the way I say it will) but it is an interesting idea.

yeah it is yann. how do you expect people to know all of what they are supposed to do in the campaign? think of some solutions or the

co-op campaigns are as good as lost

My question was not aimed at finding a solution but rather Heroes community's opinion on co-op campaigns in a Heroes game. So far I have recieved limited feedback from that particular question. I will explain my ideas in a better manner as well as tell you what co-op campaigns are in the first place (although most of you should know by now). I'm sorry if I have caused any confusion but the general co-op concept is pretty simple and I left my first post open for a reason (not to offend anyone who did not previously know what a co-op campaign was).

If you still need more info on the concept of co-op campaigns, please do not hesitate to ask if it means you will answer my question. If you appreciate the concept of co-op but not my way of "setting it in motion", please share your ideas.   Cool.

Here is one that thinks co-op campaigns would be great addition to game. I can understand if these kind of campaigns are not integrated to game by ubisoft but I think as there is now campaign editor included in map editor that it should allow also to create multiplayer campaigns. I donīt see the point in restricting those who really want to do those campaigns.
