But on a more serious note. I do feel that this new group if you will seems to be clicky. To be honest, it feels like you guys think that because the previous state of HC (mega-boring) is now improved to the current state semi-interesting, it's like a huge achievement. (Granted it's an achievement, but not as huge as you might think, I wonder how many girls at HC have said that to their boyfriends before )

Not all of the older members enjoyed all of the things that you found enjoyable. I don't think I've ever found anyone saying Namus to be funny, but that's just me. Back when VW had all those stupid threads w/ various single letter names, I never once thought it was funny. There have been a couple instances when saying 'K' is now kinda funny only because it has become a punchline, but VW has had catch phrases for a very long time and they weren't as annoying as the one-letter things. And the attitude that comes from this fact that some of you found something hilarious, you instantly assume everyone else does as well, therefore assuming that you guys are the coolest thing since sliced bread.

That's the only problem I have, you guys aren't boring, you just act HC was nothing before you came. People acting cocky is a pet peeve of mine. I just want you guys to be more humble, so you annoy me less. Those of you who are humble already *pat pat*

So I'll apologize if I had offended anyone with my toss threads/remarks that you guys are boring. I was expecting someone to give me crap about how the Redsox blow or how my response in thread R was boring as hell.

Can we all get along now, then? I'd like this gap between the oldtimers and the noobs to dissolve. Though I still sense some hard feelings, so out with it. It's obvious people are holding in some painful HC memories. Just lay it down on the comp screen. No harm done.

This thread was a light hearted toss in response to yours.  It was not a 'shove' it in your face.  I have read all of the tavern posts {88 pages} so I know there was fun stuff here before us lol!  I also know there were a lot of "you had to be there" jokes like there are today,and alot of spam like there is today too.

Your 'new generation' is boring thread is not the first time we noobs have been attacked here, this happens every couple of months - we are told that we are lame, or that it was so much better in the old days.  It just gets old after a while.

I personally think that there are members here that are alot more cocky than 'we' are.  In fact most of you old timers are.  In fact maybe it is a condition of cybergeekdom heehee

This thread could have been a great showcase of some goodtimes from the past and present - instead it has just become blah again
