Help me out

Hey guys

I'm new to this forum (clearly), but I have been playing the HoMM series since my friend showed me Heroes 3.  I've been playing single player, and hotseat games against my friends, but I would really like to start playing online.  I tried going through ubi's online mode in the game, but it sucks.... there's never any games to join, and at most there's like 25 people on.  So I came to this forum to see what's up, and noticed alot of people here talking about tournaments and online play.

If anyone could explain to me how your system works, that would be awesome.  I love this game, and I love online play, so this would pwn.

Thanks a lot guys,

Omni

P.S I have Hamachi, if that's how you do it

Agree ubi is hard to find a game. Its not easy to find toh games as well.. but at least we have a group who plays against each other daily priority over games in ubi.

Thanks man, but I'm still wondering how these games are played.  Do we agree to meet on ubi.com, or with another source?

Hey,

- Well Omni you just add ( as you have ) your name to the MSN list. Then you will most probably get a ping over msn when you open it. Or you could hang out in the Ubi.com  and wait for a fellow ToH'er ( or other ) to show up. Like mentioned, you have added your mail, you would have an even greater ( some are a bit picky here.. yeah yeah flame flame ) chance if you added your ToH Handle from - TOH Main -  too.

- Welcome to a whole new online "world"  matey

Heh, don't worry man, it's not my first time playing games online (just this one).  I  know what it's like to be a n00b

Fortunately I learn quickly, and become a decent player quickly..

Thanks for the help guys

TOH once had its own chatroom where players could talk and launch their own [Heroes 3] games.  Noone needed it because everyone talked and launched their games through the MSN Gaming Zone where most of the community hung out.  Open up a chatroom on Toheroes.com and watch the games grow.

ToH didn't have a chatroom -- you mean Microsoft Gaming Zone.  It was user-friendly and made all the difference.  If UBi's severs had the same setup, it would have been so much better.

Is it possible to put a chatroom on the [TOH] website itself?  That way everyone can hang out, and if they want to play they'd just meet on UBI?
