I've been a boyscout since November 2004, when I first joined. I've tried my best to uphold the forum rules and maintain positive relations with other members. In regards to posting, I adhere to a balanced output plan of quality and spam (about 50/50). When spammers and newbie members get picked on by arrogant tossers and unfriendly vets, I stand up to provide the weak with basic backup and the benefit of the doubt. And when a confused member needs a helpful nudge in the right direction, I'll try to be of service if I'm able. I do all this for minimal or no pay. 
Where the effin' came from, I dunno. I lack a Legendary explanation for it.

There are numerous scout organizations all over HC, but one stands out as being unique and rather secluded from all the others. I am We are HC's Guitar Scouts, shining beacons of positive energy that are always shimmering throughout this forum. Other groups sell cookies or go on camping trips, but not me us.
Rules:
*Must play or be interested in learning how to play guitar.
*Must have a positive or neutral but NEVER hateful opinion of R.E.M. or their music.
*Must follow the CoC's ordinances with the best behavior possible.

*If involved in the art of tossing, must toss with unsurpassed class and style.
*Must be merciful. EXAMPLE: allow William a 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th...(yada yada) chance at moral or social redemption.
*Must defend noobs and quiet folk from the hostile advances of mean-spirited members; must speak on the weaklings' behalf and offer them support especially against gang attacks.
*Must encourage creative and social growth in noobs who need assistance. Above all, a nurturing and patient approach is expected. Unwarranted use of force or threats makes for a crappy Guitar Scout.
*Must willingly play devil's advocate whenever appropriate in the above cases.
Suggested Motto:
"We're the Guitar Scouts: Spreading light and hope to HC, one non-R.E.M. fan at a time."

I fear GuitarScouts 
Anyone (effin boyscouts or otherwise) who tries to uphold that kinda carebear happy happy all the time will eventually explode... I don't want to be nearby when it's your time to go off 
Hey, look over there, Lady_Milena (aka Grannie Sweet cheeks) looks like she has to cross the street , shouldn't you go help her?

Don't worry, I'm fitted with a 20 second countdown timer in case HCers wanna say a quick prayer before everything blows sky high.

Yeah, so I'm wondering what boyscouts do here in the information age. Do they help little old lady's when their computer skitzes on them? Can you email your grocery list to them if you're addicted to WOW an invalid?

"Let Me In" is such a great song.
Well, what I can say for now is that we boyscouts have great ambitions and plans set up for the future. By the next century and a half, grannies HC-wide who need assistance can press a button on their walkers and the Boyscout Support Line will be notified. Within minutes, Boyscout HQ will release a trio of BS droids that'll rush over and help those little old ladies.
