3rd Upgrade
This is more or less a brain storming discussion, and less of suggestion, as I don't think there is much need (as well as other balancing issue) for a 3rd upgrade... but anyhow.. the idea goes like this...
3rd Upgrade!
Why limit the upgrades to just two level? What happen if you could further upgrade your creatures up another level? What creature would they be? What new ablity would they gain? What new look will they have? Post your ideas!
For fun.. I will take a shot at Necropolis...
Skeleton > Skeleton Archer > Skeleton Knight
Zombie > Plague Zombies > Meat Golem
Ghost > Spectre > Banshee
Vampire > Vampire Lord > Vampire Baron
Lich > Archlich > Ultrallich
Wight > Wraith > Deathgiver
Bone Dragon > Spectral Dragon > Shade Dragon

I appreciate this idea. It's fun and add tactics and variation to the game. I don't think it can be added on top of the excisting two-level system, because some of the creatures would be too strong (that is, some of the present upgraded creatures would have to be the up-upgraded ones in order not to creature uber-creatures). But none-the-less its fun to play with the names.
Btw. a number of these names are a bit cumbersome. Meat Golem is bad, because that would in fact be a Golem - which is not an undead, but belong to the Animates of the Academy! Vampire Baron is a bit aquard, and Ultralich is even worse. But let the game begin.

I don't know why people think banshees are some sort of ghosts... The word banshee is derived from gaelic ben-na-shi. Ben-na-shis were goddesses that were given their shi, sort of estate, which would serve as their haven etc. Superstition and Saxon disrespect to native beliefs probably brought people to believe that banshees are just ghosts...
Why not change banshees to poltergaists?
Simply upgrade the zombies into mummies... Just make the mummies weaker. It worked in WoG...
Vampire Counts are better than Barons. I mean, they're vampires...
Change ultraliches to supreme liches, and deathgivers to deathwielders or soultakers.
Then it would rock

I don't think the game really needs that.
Mabey 8th creature (not 8th level creature) will be nice.
This is just too much...
If you want to add more creatures, create another faction.

Some opinions about Inferno:
I like the Gog.
Daemonette sounds strange.
Pit overlord is good, but too close to Pit Lord.. Try Balor
Bloodthirster? I don't think it matches a Devil.. a tip: Diablo
some of my sylvan names were borrowed from Spellforce

collosus -> titan -> mage comes out as says "sorry, your not having this one, it took three wizards to sacrifice themselves for it, and it still isn't moving"
