Yeah, Guard Post is insanely overpowered in long games. XD
I don't remember the exact numbers, but I'd advice you to download the usermade Manual which is available for free online. Look in the sticky threads in the top of the list of this forum, and find the download link in the one called Usermade Manual + some stuff.
As to whether it's intended ... well, the ways of Nival, and God, are not for common man to understand.

Thank you very much for that response! Trouble is now if I can even go dwarves again with a good consciousness since we only do long games (4 players with 2 AI and such) >_>

Sure you can. If your friend is a good tactician, he'll come up with ways to circumvent the problem. Using Dark Magic he can probably find a way around them, maybe even use them to his own good, if you're not careful.

Fortunately, with the new alternative upgrades I donīt have to carry Berserkers... they were by far the worst creature of their level. Now that have changed a little

Highest number I've seen is 555 added SG's... Had to fight such a number only once, with a Warlock... I just imploded them all away after I had dealt with the rest of his army And I didn't even have empowered spells

The guard post was reduced by half the number from HoF.
Actually in longer games, though the week is a multiiplier, it levels off because you no longer increase your town level.
I find it very annoying especially if the opposing hero has lots of magic.

So it's a fair bit less effective in TotE?
Sounds like another reason to get that expansion, and the 2nd upgrade option and return of artifact sets had me sold pretty much already!

I think the formula is 5*town_level*month in ToE. In HoF it was 10*townlevel*month.

Don't hescitate. Trust me, TotE is a completely new game compared to HoF/H5S, and it's all for the better.
I did not know they had halved the numbers, but it seems more reasonable then. In HoF, you regularly encountered stacks by the legion in longer games (month 3 = 10 x 35 x 3 = 1050 Shieldguards) which matches my experience pretty well. That would now be 525 which does seem more reasonable.
