Just when Lith and Milena are walking towards the structure they see Hexa coming out with a leg of one of the Dark elves still hanging from his mouth.
[Hexa talking to the group]
If you are bloody well ready playing around with these elves we can all go in and have a LITTLE something to eat.
Ohhhh and Milena here you go….
[Hexa trough’s her an amulet in the shape of an old bearded wizard]
I took the liberty to seize that old Wizard named Oldtimer when he tried to flee and imprisoned him in this amulet. Whenever you have forgiven or need him you can release him with these words….
{Hexa whispers something to Milena…}
Lets first welcome Titan and ACC…they’re a little late but welcome nonetheless. You caught up with us just in time. Beyond the forest, we will not be able to use any movement spells. For any fast transport you’ll be dependent on me flying you there…
Lets all get in here and assign duties…. we’ll need gather some wood and hunt some of the wildlife here …. Perhaps Preserver can show use where to get some water….
Once we’ve eaten and rested some we can plan our next move….

"as for the newcomers... I welcome them, yet I am suspicious about ACC... he has a dark aura... however, they may both prove usefull if something happens to me or Milena..."

...when the welcomes are greeted and the newcomers introduced, Wiz stand up in front of the campfire and spoke in a matter of fact way..."i pray thee my friends consider what i have suggested before...let us each assign a duty upon ourselves and go through this dangerous quest in order lest we be torn by chaos and lack of coordinations of orders and what each member must do"...with that the young wizard disappeared in the woods and as silent as the night wind...

...while the others sleep, Preserver gets a visit...
"Since the dawn of time, the forests have needed an avatar. One to protect them from the blind destruction of the so called intelligent races. While men and orcs destroy the forest to suit their needs, while elves and drow bend nature to their will, the forest and all of it's life force cry out for one to protect it. It seems you have taken up this mantle."
Preserver looks up from his repast to see the old one.
"The others think that I am caught in a matrix designed by a dragon," he laughs, "can you believe that! Dragon magic, I don't know if I should be insulted or what."
"What do you want of me." Preserver says to the old one whom he will never let himself trust.
"I came here to remind you of your duty. You freely chose to wear the mantle of the preserver, yet you seem to be entangled in the plans of those who would pervert the natural order. It looks like the elves are off to war, even if they don't know it yet, and you sit here brushed aside from one who may cause your precious forests great harm. You cannot let loyalty cloud your judgement, the affairs of the 'intelligent' ones mean little to those you have sworn to protect. The forest is neither good nor bad, those concepts have little meaning to the forest so should have little meaning to you. Follow your heart, and you will find the way to be the Preserver. Some things are more important than friendship, but I need not remind you of that."

"You are right as you are wrong. I've always been neutral. Not good, not bad... As I accepted this quest, I accepted as a member of a team, but belive me I am keeping an eye on those humans and that clumsy dragon. But elves are not abusing nature, they use it and protect it, and the elves in this party are of that kind. Milena didn't mean to burn those trees, and none of the elves here are going to hurt nature by will. You have understood my mantle right, but taking part of this quest I find just as important, as it both advances my skills and let me assure nature don't suffer any harm by the travel or fightings. I do not know if you are trying to seperate us, but if you were trying to help me, I thank thee."
[shouting to Hexa, who is standing down near the palace]
"If you're searching for water, look about sixty feet... eehm, I mean four dragon feet.. north-east of the palace gate. And be carefull with that tail!

Hexa, be careful with your food. I have heard the dark elves weren't the best meal around. If you ask me, no meat is good food. I have swore never to touch meat and... oh, well, this is personal.

"Don't be blind to whom the elves are! To all appearances they are a noble race that gets along with nature, but if you examine closer you will see that they bend and twist nature to suit their purposes. The trees were not meant to grow into houses and walls. Nature must be free and not corrupted by well meaning elves. But I am not here to drive a wedge into your relationship with your friends, you will play an important part in the events that are begining to transpire, and I only came to reawaken your own conscienceness."
Takes out a small viewing glass.
"Look. Already the treefolk of the peninsula have grown dark and menacing. They are creating the largest darkwood on this world. This wood will allow no more interfearance. If all of nature takes this turn, then man will become afraid of the wood, and as you know what man fears he destroys. You must find a way to maintain the balance, for nature is balance. This quest may give you that opportunity, but remember your goals, and don't fall into the trap of failing your responsibilities while promoting the desires of your friends. Look to the long term and not the short."
The old man leaves the avatar an acorn.
"This comes from a tree in my garden, use it to contact me at your need."
At that he passes from view into a mist.

If you truely desire to discover their home and study the ancient arts, you must stay with the ashen warrior. But beware, he will try to lose you and go it alone. His choice is great and he has yet to discover which way he wants to go. By aiding him you may become that which you claim. But will you choose love or power? Think on that while you travel."

Love? I have given up love for a higher goal... my goal is to protect this elven warrior and I will do even if it costs my life.
Knowledge is power but it's also pain. Limits are scary too like a sea-deep and mighty. So, learning more and more can be dangerous... so, the goal is a goal. Lith is first. Then is everything else.

meanwhile the ashen warrior is approached...
By a group of strangely clad elves. These elves look unkempt and dirty. It appears that they are wearing cast off and mismatched armor and clothing. They wear no clan markings or other means of identification, but have a wild look to them. Lith goes over to them and has a conversation that no one can hear, then quickly leaves with them.
"Quickly girl! I fear if you lose sight of these strangers you may never find them again. They have woodcraft that you have yet to imagine." Says the voice in Milena's head, and she realizes that the link has been severed.
