hello
here i post a list of bugs i've noticed with 1.41/2.01 version of the game.
1 - 5 ===> BUGS
6 - 10 ===> THINGS that have to be changed



== 1
when: battle for a castle
who: level 6,7 creatures (or big creatures only i'm not sure...)
how: the creatures are directly attacked by the hero (no spell attack)
what: the creatures appear a short moment at a given place on the battle field (often right in front of the door) to receive the attack then reappear immediately in their legitimate place!

== 2
when: battle
who: a majority of the new creatures (from HoF)
how: the creatures are attacked by shooters
what: the projectile hits its target on foot level. this bug is not new it had been corrected for some creatures (for the patch 1.2 I believe) it should be fixed again for the new HoF creatures

== 3  
when: loading in summoned ship
who: the summoned ship
how: a hero calls a ship then load in the same turn
what: the ship disappear once the hero’s loaded. in fact the ship is still there but it is invisible because it is located virtually at the place from where it was summoned

== 4
when: buying things at the marketplace
who: the button “construction of the buildings”
how: once in the market one clicks on the button of construction
what: instead of showing the construction screen one leaves simply the market (like the exit button indeed)

== 5
when: visit of a dwarf city
who: the fortress
how: attempt to move the camera
what: the free camera is not wworking for the fortresses

== 6  
when: since beta
who: emerald dragons
what: cruel lack of colours! horns, wings, claws, eyes, hooks... all these details should have different colour but green

== 7  
when: since beta and several patchs
who: spectral dragons
what: since the costs of the buildings were corrected the advantage of the number (only advantage of these beasts) does not play any more because they are too expensive (mercury)...

== 8
when: since HoF
who: free dwarves guards and cheap runes
what: the guardroom provides far too many free dwarves when defendingf a fortress their number should absolutely be reduced. in addition the runes deserve to be a bit more expensive or to be activated with a complement of magic points because they become too powerfull in late game

== 9
when: since the patch 1.41/2.1
who: points of dark energy
what: in the late game there are not enough DE regarding the huge amount of dead creatures affected by the % of necromancy! it’s necessary to reduce the DE contribution of the pillars of the bones and to find alternatives way to boost the DE weekly flow (ex "lord of undeads" = +100DE)

== 10
when: now
which: teleport, summon creatures, town portal spells
what: on one hand the teleport spell has a ridiculous range, on the other hand the town portal is too easy to use (even if the hero cannot move any more he still can teleport himself to a castle). finally to summon creatures should cost only 50% of the hero movement

I was messing around with combinations in duel, trying to find someone that can beat Karli most of the time, and ran across a bug.

Dirael has an artifact that is supposed to negate all enemy magic resitance.  Well it doesn't work with firewall against Karli.  I cast it on his units, and they took damage the 1st round, but then the 2nd round some of them resisted it.  What the heck?!?  So many bugs...

Another VERY annoying one...  If you puppet master a unit that has the rune of battle rage, and use the rune, the unit WILL NOT attack its own units.  It will still attack you and/or nothing (if none of your units were by it).

If this bug didn't exist, Deirdre could kick Karli's butt.

Hi,

I'm playing HOMM on my MAC and got the problem that it crashes on some occasions. When I restart HOMM usually I can open the save again, but sometimes the save is corrupted. Can anyone tell me if there are patches for the MAC-edition too?

My eu homm 5 is patched to 1.3 because I hav'nt had internet for months,now can someone tell me if I can run 1.41 over the top or do I have to re-install?

Just install 1.4 and then 1.41 - but beware that your save files from campaigns might not work afterwards.

Ok then alcibiades but I don't have 1.4 on it yet,so can i go over 1.3 with 1.4 and then put 1.41 over the top of that?

Thx Elvin,hey isn't 1.4 a combination of 1.1 through to 1.4?
Meaning you can patch it straight onto a freshly installed copy of the game thus saving the effort of having to put them all on again?

Thx alcibiades,now another question to anyone who can answer me first, has anyone noticed that with the add on,you cant use Fortress on earlier multiplayer maps. What I mean is, you can use them but you can't pick hero before loading map and you have to build tavern to get your first hero.

Has this been fixed in 2.1...?

When a Ranger gets the Battle Commander skill, is there a dialogue box offering the War Dancers? In the previous versions the bonus creatures were added to the hero's army automatically, so they would be lost if all the slots were occupied.

When Pendant of Mastery is removed, the fourth favored enemy is "forgotten". It would be nice if the player were able to equip and unequip the artifact without losing the bonus.

It's not a bug... When You unequip pendant, avenger skill level drops from ultimate to expert with all its consequences (losing one slot for favoured enemy).
You know what would start to happen if that what You say was possible?
