Weekly Library Questions_______Week 10/07
Some more questions....
1. Big fight I had vs guards of a relic artefact. 2 stacks of Grand Elves....both blessed. No other spell than bless was active.
Only 1 enemy stack present. Distance to that enemy stack was the same to both Grandelf stacks. In 1 particular round, both Grand Elves stacks shot before the enemy stack moved, no moral....
But one of them Grand Elves did less damage than the other, while the enemy stack was still alive after both Grandelves shot. How come?
2. No one is less reliable than me!
3. I raise my speed by 54.54% with only 1 step...and I am OFF the battlefield..
4. No one can hit more units on first round of a battle than me....day 1 week 1...
5. My heart is hundred times bigger than my sword.
Hope it is a bit more of a challenge this time....

The stack of Grand Elves that shot first did less damage, becuase after it shot, some creatures in enemy's stack were killed, and the whole enemy stack had less defence. This why the second stack was able to do more damage, because the enemy had less defence.

This is not how damage calculation in Homm3 works. Defense of a unit stays the same, no matter of how many units (except after an attack of a rust dragon maybe..) it consists.

Well then a hero with the Armageddon's blade, but that's possible only in campaign (that guy, what's his name... Xerox I think, who gets the Armageddon's blade in front of his castle so that he picks it up immediately)
Or Solmyr...

This seem a little to obvious,it says nothing about how large each stack of elves is.
Presumably one stack is larger than the other!

Just make a math...how many units Xyron could hit .....how many Solmyr....

True. But what about the Xerox dude with the armageddon's blade? He hits EVERYONE.
About number one...
Either, as dschingi said, one had good luck, or the bless effect expired when the second stack shot.

"Luck" could be an idea, but is not the solution I was thinking about. And bless effect doesn't expire DURING a turn.

Hmmm, perhaps one stack had only 1 shot left before that turn and the other one had still 2 or more?

No.5 is already solved....catapult is correct.
Solmyr is wrong also. He can hit 5 units at max....not that much...

1. this could happen fighting a Phoenix if it dies and resurrects
2. if reliable=morale, then ghost dragon gives negative morale
3. change in terrain?
4. theoretically a magog who gets morale can hit 14 stacks

1. The creature had speed 7 like your elfs and defended the last round, then you shoot with one stack, the creature waits or moves forward and you shoot with the 2nd stack that deals more damage.
2. Air elementals
4. Hero: Septienna (death ripple) can hit 14 units round 1
Creature: Royal Griffins, not normal to get day 1, but it is possible. One stack can make 30 hits in one round.
