Don't have the phantom forces spell. Of course I would have used it but I don't have it. Arcane Insight  no. I went to battle with them, about 640 of them and they kicked my behind, because you know that they could ressurect. So I left them alone and I went in battle with 179 titans, 1460 Vampire lords and 2139 Imperial Griffins. A good way to raise experience. Now I have three choices: Zounds of Archangels, zounds of archdevils or simply wait for him to come.

The battle on youtube what type is it. I wanted t opost a battle of my own but I din't know if it will take the movie_name.sav. please tell me if I have to transform the video or if I need to use fraps or other programs like that?

I have watched the video, and it made me very curious about the marksman's precise shot.
The 157 marksman killed 17-20 phonexies with each shot. This means 34-60 with a luck shot ?
What is the exact effect of precise shot, other than "target's defense is not that effective" something like this is mentioned in the manual I think.
Edit: Have I missed something there, or really, 20 phoenixes can't kill ~170 upgraded peasants with one attack ?

I guess with the same tactic as above, splitting peasants and guarding marksman. (So tactic is a must for clearing utopias that soon, but what else is?)
Is it possible to loot all utopias (I mean regardless if there are only 2 stacks of bone dragons or 4 stacks of black dragons inside) or it depends on what you find inside and still would need some help from obstacles ?
Any help is appreciated, as I have just started a multiplayer map with a friend, playing Dougal and it is the end of the first week.

It's easy to see how powerful precise shot is.. try shooting the stack of treants with ~100 marksmen in duel mode when they are 2-3 tiles away from you. You will be utterly amazed by their damage (one hit kill..)
The same mechanism applies to dragon utopia: dragons have high def, precise shot owns them completely. You need tactics to use this strategy, though, otherwise breath attack will destroy the marksmen.
It doesn't depend on the type of dragons inside.

Only had a few games with H5, and never played with Haven (and didn't suffered precise shot when fighting vs. Haven ), but so far it seems strong.
I'm asking about what other skill(s) is / are needed for clearing the utopias, as on first glance it seems strange that 3-5 stacks of dragons can't reach the marksman before being killed. Since their (dragon's) initiative is better than both marksman and peasants,and since you can only have 7 stacks (so 6 sacrificeable stacks ), you have a maximum of 6 rounds to kill all the stacks of dragon with each shot before they reach you - the point where the game is over for the marksman I assume.
That makes me think that a haste is a must, too ? And also, that on 2nd week, you have around how much ? 80 Marksman ? And they can kill let's say 5 black dragons with the precise shot ?
Looking for confirmation and any possible help for a former H3 addict and a H5 newbie.

two words: divine guidance. Solves the marksmen' initiative problem. a few Inquisitors for haste/bless can be a good addition, but they are not that necessary.

It is possible. As you see (or not) on video the hero leading haven army is freyda - cmp hero. And this is probably ~4 mission, she has about ~25 lvl, or even higher. Normal. so it's not only marksmens' power, but freyda too. With her BIG help

fortunately, utopias ain't guarded by 100 phoenixes. You don't need a lvl25 hero ;P

you have to double-click on it in tactics phase, and when it's taken out of the field, drag its icon to an empty slot holding alt.

I can never get enough of this battle. I didn't do it (although I would love to take credit... hehe), and it is no longer possible due to patches, but it is still great.

I presented you my hydra battle and now I show you my hero. I still haven't passed the archangels, so the save is dead. And yes, I don't have puppet master or blindness, because I would have played just like in the youtube video . So here is my hero before the two battles that are following after him:
 . Maybe I would have lost less but the devils have their morale as well. And when a group of 200 hits you, their isn't much to say. I have 9 defense which obviously wasn't enough, I also casted mass endurance, mass devine strength, mass righteous might and something against them. Don't really recall.

oh by the way, I had a bigger army as you can see in the combat screen on the bottom of the page. But nevertheless, it's the same thing
