According to amazon, King's Bounty the Legend's release has been pushed down to October 31st, 2008. So, Golemcrafter, I guess you have the option to wait for that or get an Amazon gift cert...

It was delayed by 6 months?
It has to be a sort of a mistake. There's no way they would disappoint the fans so badly.

Yeah I saw it too! Well, I can wait, that is no problem of course... Maybe I'll get a new computer till then!
Btw, I saw on other inrternet pages almost the same thing:
According to...
...Gamespot: Sep 23, 2008
...1Up: Nov 15,2008
...Gametrailer.com: Apr 30, 2008
...1C Publishing: 2nd quarter of 2008 (April, May, June)
.
.
.
and many other guesses...but as I said, I CAN wait!

hmm... i'm not so sure about this, kings bounty in 3D? it will sort of lose its originality and take on more of an H5'ish style, H5 and king's bounty are actually very different games. i think i will prefer the retro one better.

i am, ever heard of the Heroes of Might and Magic series? got all the 5th ones
EDIT: what i meant by my previous post is that the game would lose its atmosphere/originality/style/etc. if you made it 3D, some games are bound to be pixelized

I charge 5 bucks per translated sentence.
@Wulfstan
It's not a remake of the original KB. It's a game based on the more or less the same principals as the original KB. Besides, the difference gameplay between HoMM5 and KB: Legends will be big enough to nullify any possible graphic similarities.

Don't know about Gamespot and the likes, but the official site of the game says that the game has been already "sent to printing" and will be out on the shelves at April 25th.
According to that site there are three different editions:
Jewel Case: contains the game DVD-Disc and 16 pages of artwork.
DVD-BOX: contains the game DVD-Disc, a manual and a deck of playing cards with the characters of the game.
Collector's edition: contains the game DVD-Disc, special edition of the manual (40 pages), a T-shirt and a deck of playing cards with the characters of the game.
There are also 8 new screnshots.
-According to some dialogues the game is not without humour.
-Looks like there is a "concentration skill" that lets your hero regenerate some of his mana at the beginning of each turn in battle.
As usual I'll translate the screenshots at request.

I also found several small hints to that it eventually will go MP, one is here : last line,1 parameter....
p.s. I sure hope they have already fixed the spelling. I have found many errors just by looking at the screenshots i.e. ~ xx had caused xx damage....

Hmm...I don't think that this game will be released at that day. Since just a few games come out at the promised day, I don't trust on the release dates anymore... (But the light of hope is still in my body!)

....................................
That's why I prefer screenshots.
Let me read it and see what I can find.
EDIT: The article is written in a very poetic tone, but the actual facts are not that many.
First of all, it seems that the game is developed "with love", meaning that there is a lot of good humour, small details that will make your journey more enjoyable etc. The main story is standart - you're a young hero who was sent to find a great treasure by the king himself, however, the game is filled with side quests and the main story slowly develops throughout the whole game.
On a more technical note: There will be 5 army slots plus 2 reserve slots if your leadership skill is high enough. The number of creatures in each stack will depend on their power and leadership skill (Like in the original KB). Also, like in the original, there is the moral factor which affects attack, deffense and critical hit chance. So, putting creatures like elves and dwarves in the same army may not be wise, let alone human soldiers with skeletons. Although the Paladin seem to have a "Tolerance" skill that might help in this situation.
I've already mentioned the Rage Spirits on the first page. Powerful spirits that will aid you in battle after you perform certain tasks for them. It seems that each one of them has 4 moves. Here is a short description:
Zerok - a perfect weapon made out of the shards of the magical black star, created by great mages to kill other powerful wizards in an endless war. To win his trust you'll have to destroy a group of sorcerers. His abilities: [Striking] Sword, Stone Wall, Meteor Shower, Underground Blades.
Sliim - once a crowned prince of the skarggs, and now the last remnant of his lizard-like swamp people. His brethren perished in a struggle with savage Titans, and only Sliim who was already taken captive survived. His power is the power of swamps. Toxic spits and rains, swarm of monstrous swamp fishes and a powerful protective spell.
Leena - Leena Itaniels, a first class battle mage. Of all the Rage Spirits she is the most friendly and talkative. She also loves to interrupt your conversations with the other Spirits. She comes from a very advanced world, Litan - the world of techno-magic. One of her skills is the ability to summon an Ice Ball on the battlefield.
Reaper - Reaper, just Reaper. The Keeper of the Temple of Time who doesn't remember his previous life. He manipulates time and can cause enormous damage to his enemies. In short - he is very, very cool. The ultimate weapon on the battlefield and a very colorful character.
Just as was said before there are three schools of magic: Order, Distortion and Chaos. Each spell seems to have three levels of profficiency. You are able to learn or upgrade your spells only if you put enough points in the corresponding magic school skill. You actually learn spells from scrolls that you either find or purchase from NPCs. Also, to learn/upgrade spells you need special magic crystals that are found on the adventure map.
Looks like the monster will move around the map (much slower than the hero) and sometimes you'll be able to "trick" them and get the treasure without fighting them.
Looks like there are still a few minor bugs here and there, but it is already announced that patches will be released so they will probably address the problem there.
And that's more or less it. Hope you enjoyed the read.

I'm kindof annoyed. The English version isn't out for another five or six months, but my calculations suggest it would take a month, at most, to do all the translating. Seriously, does it really take 4-5 months to print enough games?

Rather unfortunatly, it does take only 1 month if you get a rather dedicated translater but..
I have a feeling theyre going to do a homemade translation and then get someeone to edit it for cost-effectiveness. You could translate a game in 1 week if you were extremely dedicated and good at both languages. Unfortunatly this is a rare quality.

If they've got a lot of cutscenes where they need to hire actors I can imagine it taking even longer actually...
