Kryptonite

Quote:
A mineral found by geologists in Serbia shares virtually the same chemical composition as the fictional kryptonite from outer space, used by the superhero's nemesis Lex Luthor to weaken him in the film "Superman Returns."

Truly An Inspiring Discovery

One wonders what this new discovery might mean in terms of the future of humanity. I believe we have redefined the phrase, "Naturally Occuring".

All the best words for the dead, as always. However, I never really liked Christopher Reeve. To me, he was the most hypocritic rich a$$hole ever. I really have no idea what could be so heroic about a guy who started spending his wealth on charity only after he got himself paralized. Where was he before he broke his neck? It was really expected from him to start giving money for medical research, since he wanted to help his condition, but what extremely irritates me is when someone tries to present him as some benevolent hero who cares about scientific research and paralized people.

Who said that?

But there was so much truth in those words!  It has nothing to do with Criss Reeves, but society as a whole.

LOL, it's not like I changed the direction of my life because of your words.  I have no idea why I remembered that

But if you put yourself in his shoes, what would you do?  If you suddenly found yourself in the condition of him and had the money to possibly change the outcome, would you spend the money?  Would you do everything you could to save yourself?  If you choose to spend the money, does that make you an ***hole because you didn't spend it earlier for the "good of mankind"?  Or does that just make you human?
