Yes, to make sure 3do and Blizzard won't be angry:
 This game will be free.
If I will ready with it at once, I won't relse it until I asked them and they allowed it.
I trying to copy the fewest things that I can, I trying to make my own stuff in as high amount as I can.
This game won't be copyrighted.

either way, this is also impossible from the sources at hand to make a full game that doesnt break the many copyright laws you are planing to break anyway, so this will, eventually, end in flames

First: I will ask Unisoft, Blizzard and 3do fisrt before I relase the game
Second: this game will be for free.
Third: don't you wanna make the storyline?

what about limiting it to 6 factions? 3 on the side of order, 3 on the side of destruction? on along similar lines, because it is much easier to get a story going.
if you have 6 factions, and 10 creatures in each, you could get a decent amount of different play styles coming into the for.

Homm 3 had 9 factions. And there also will be phirlopsyes!
EDIT: I'll make sure 1 feathure that is based on bixie's idea: 2 sides to all factions, it means each faction will have 2 creature line-ups and it will also make the storyline and campaign more intresting and cooler!

yeah,
a) it would be easier
b) you wouldn't run out of ideas for heroes
c) philosophies don't mean anything if they conflict with the factions bases
d) they were just stuff added by nival and have no real segnificance apart from "oh, look at that, they must be a good guy/bad guy/ nuetral and confused guy"
e) 9 factions is a bit step, and it would be simpler and more fun (which what gaming is all about, in the end) to just have a few and then build on storylines from there.

I understand that you prefers having low ammount of factions with 10 units (maybe Mage and Djinn will be in Fortres too? ), but I think it shoud be boring: each faction can has many sites. Some of your ideas are good.
Also: I will use your "each faction has 2 sides" thing, it will make the game cooler and more intresting.

think how many statistics you are going to have to make for each creature!
you would have about 90 () creatures so far. include upgrade (180 ) and neutrals (WTF) and heroes (ARGH TOO MUCH!) and the seamen (*faints*) and ships ( )
if you limit yourself to a small number of factions, or a small number of units, then it probably makes it better to play  and is a better idea on your part

Well I will post the creatures to the Forgetten Quest forum, like many other things. Oh yes, it takes very long time, but I don't mind. I just doing it from fun. From fun and in order to make people happy and in order to get some fans!

Why dont you want to learn from the best. Blizzard is always creating small quantity of units/factions but their balance is most impressive.
