limits

Once you start to play HOMM 5 and so on, usually it takes around 2.5 weeks, if you have every thing, to build every single improvemt in your city. then you gat 4000 gold/ day and defined number of unites per week. But wouldn't that be nice if you could actually expand your city beyound that limits?

here is what I am talking about for example:

1- when attacking a city instead of having only a narrow area to fight you should have entire city surroundring as well and not only the gate entrance.

2- population growth unlimited. when capital or city hall is reached then 4/10 more gold should be added to tha 2000/4000 gold /day for every passing week since more people are living within your city.

3- Be able to speaclize a city. like you can biuld several of one type of building in order to bost the growth of that kind of unit. build 4 alters inorder to speacilize your city in angel production.

adding these kinds of improvment into the game will make the game more realistic and more challenging.

But what for.. is there a differnce between a battle with 10, 100 or 1000 weekly populations? What changes except the numbers?

I like 1 idea, because I want to Take down Haven cities from the river way! Baaah, Why do always have to attack them from the front! When they got a river opening!

I think that too large battlefield won't be a good thing. I feel that the siege's battlefield is wide enough.

This is a good concept. I would do it a bit differently. What about paying a lot of gold and resources to boost the creatures' growth temporarily, for one or two weeks? (Two weeks will cost 1.5 resources than the week's cost)

I don't think it will work.

For seigeing a city: what about however you attack it (north, south, east, west) the battlefeild is different. Eg, from the front you have the gates, peasant huts in the west, river in the east, etc.

Sounds excellent!
It should be unique for every town, like the walls, the gate and the "mines". For example, Necropolis might have the "cave" battlefield with the holes in the sides of it, and sylvan might have a huge river in the middle of the battlefield.

I agree with some of the poiints you brought up, but having a large battle field would be nice and it also would be great if there was several units of one type representing the unit of that kind.  by that I mean if we have 9 archers standing 3x3 formation and are representing a group of archers and not only one archer representing 200 archers or so.
