If YOU were president...
If I were president. Obviously I'm not king, but suggestions to change the law by...
1. Taxes - 50% million and over income tax. Doesn't matter what the source is.
2. Health - Social health care based on preventative medicine with free yearly physical check ups (mammograms, prostate, and paps included) Increased health tax on smokers. Increased health tax on "morbidly obese" individuals. (individuals found to be genetically inclined waived) Government health insurance availible for everyone, private insurance availible for the wealthy.
3. Military - Army completely dismantled. (We already have the marines and navy perfectly complements it, no point in having two seperate ground forces.) Major reduction in troop levels, but an emphasis on air and sea superiority. New foreign policies with a dramatic reduction in military activity accross the world.
4. Economy - Larger grants for first time buisness owners. This is to build up new buisness while milionares cry about not being able to expand global corporations that outsource to china.
5. Social issues - Abortion challenges for all cases, but when the mother is medically proved to be in danger of death.
Minimum wage raised to $10 an hour.
6. Education - No college student left behind. All graduating seniors get a $40,000 grant to be used at any school of their choice. Must maintain a 2.0 gpa after 2 semesters.
7. Car insurance becomes a social program without discrimination based on age. Coverage is 3 levels with 20, 40, and 60 thousand for property damage. Health is covered by previously mentioned social program. Any profits are used to cover other government programs.
8. Gun control - Felons, mentally handicapped, and people convicted of violent crimes prohibited from owning or handling guns.
If YOU were president what laws or changes would you inact if you don't like the status quo.

Taxes - remove tax cuts for the rich, but keep everything else the same.
Health - abolish Medicaid, keep everything else the same.
Military - reduce size
Immigration - Guest worker program. No border fence.
Economy - More free trade. Create new manufacturing industries with the labor of guest workers, capable of competing with China.
Social issues - Legalize abortion, gay civil unions, etc.
Education - Nationalize all schools and colleges. Abolish pledge of allegance. No religious instruction outside of seminaries. Free college for those that fit requirements.
Gun control - take guns away from ordinary citizens.
Iraq - create stable, secular, pro-US dictatorship, then pull out.
Racial equality - abolish affirmative action.
Abolish electoral college. Abolish Senate. Reduce size of House of Representatives. Abolish state governments. Adopt metric system.

if i were president?
i probably wouldn't go that high, simply a chancellor to a dictator.
anyway... if i were chancellor to a dictator, i would tax everything from children to the kitchen sink. very small taxes, mind.

MAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT FREE
Why not?
It'd make it cheaper for those who actually do use it, and alot more people will use it, which means less cars, which means less traffic and pollution.

Legalize drugs.
I'm not just saying this from a hippy perspective.
Because let's face it if someone wants drugs, they can get them. But instead of all the money going to some dodgy guy in a trenchcoat, it can be going to healthcare, education, drug regulation etc.
Obviously not all drugs have to be legalized, but marijuana and that, sold over the counter. They can be regulated heavily to keep users off the road as they do with alcohol, and kept out of public restaurants as they do with tobacco.
If the lesser drugs are legalized and regulated, then;
-The money raised will go to the government to pay for it, rather than to drug smugglers
-They will be cheaper, decreasing poverty and crime levels
-They will be safer, as they are government regulated

Fine if you want a serious answer lol.
If I was president.
There is not much you should over income tax anything with the population getting hugh.
The taxes must increase to make money.
Any health issues like alcohol, ciggerettes & any other hazzards should be taxed a few more %.
I think we should care about even the smallest people.
I think our health care employees & doctors should respect & care about thier patience & quit crying about extra work.
I see it all the time.
I seen patience get arrested for reasons unessary.
Doctors need to follow thier oaths & not for the good money.
Health plans should be availible for any human being so everyone has a chance.Everyone should be treated equally, it dont matter if they hurt themselves in the inside or if they are mentally ill.
Medical, medicare etc does help but to an extent.
Mostly i think the doctors could be alot better. Healt plans are good.
This war is going to last forever.
Nothing will change.
Were bullies, thats why other countries hate America.
I mean seriously what are we really trying to accomplish.
Were better off simply leaving or bombing the whole middle easy because nothing will change.
Our soldiers will be there longer then Vietnam soon.
In the past we shot for some goals but now it just keeps going on & on & on from Amerca's side.
Hatred,GREED & trying to stop activities which will never stop.
I think it's about that time.
Too bad many foriegn people think this war is great.
I mean if we have to stay out there to stop terroism. DO we really need so many people out there?
Every chance Bush got when he got a blank check or an ok, he sets out another Max set of soldiers. We dont need that many soldiers out there.
To make money people need to make money for you.
Unfortunately you have to be given a second chance otherwise the poor people will always stay the same & it is extremely hard to move up.
You cant buy a card with credit, you cant get a loan without descent credit. You are looked at like a bastage just like the police when you mess up once, even if you did not do it intensionally.
I think some people do it to themselves.
I mean people do give even the poor people chances to make money.
Nowadays there is a crapload if ways.
You can of course go bankruptcy.
You also got plans to make any payments you owe.
If you credit is not horrific I think you should have a chance to an extent to get loans, buy a car or even a house.Even Credit Cards
History credit report should tell people if you have a history on abusing your credit in a way where you did it to yourself & you can not get any loans.
I think our economy is up for the rich who loves to get even richer by getting even more from the poor.
Taking advantage of & getting looked down upon.
I think there is alot of border racism in certain areas.
Out here in California the mexicans really despises us over the past.
Well I mentioned it in my Mexican thread.
Therefore you can not live in any country being an illegal alien.
I think choices should be up to the women if they should want an abortion or if they want to give the baby up.
I think you know the responsibilities, there are ways of being careful so there wont be an unplanned baby.
Of course many women has babies unplanned & then thier lives change forever.
Stuck with one of the hardest choices in thier lives.
I also lost a child from abortion 11 yrs ago when my XXXGF did what she did.
It's painful but I dont think it's our right to tell any mother what they should do with thier own child.
Who are we to say what people should do with thier lives.
If gays want to get married, then let them.Who cares, thier not hurting anyone, thier not doing nothing to me or any other person.
Why should we abolish it.
Education is fone the way it is.
There are so many programs & devices that helps any person to get a good education.
It's up to the person to go ack to school or stay in school & get it.
So much more to help anyone then when i was in school.
I dont drive so I will have to ask my brother about how car insurance works 
I dont think anyone should be allowed to own a gun in this time of age.
So many wannabe gang bangers & racist people everywhere.
All it will do is murder someone who loses a family member & kill others just to feel a rush.
I hate guns also but I dont think it's needed.
Guns should be banned period from any non job use.
I'll get back to the car insurance.
I kind of rushed this because I got some stuff to take care of off the com.

Why do you need your guns? To shoot animals or to shoot people? You don't need to shoot animals. Doubly so for people.

If I was president I'd get all the smokers in America to stand in a line and then I'd machine gun them all down and feed them into a meat grinder to make dog food.
So I guess I'm against banning guns.

Of course the general argument in America is that if everyone has a gun then we can have an all out dogfight and the fastest trigger wins.
Take away the guns, and stop the 3000+ deaths a year...

If you take away guns from people they'll still stab each other with knives.
Take their knives and they'll throw rocks at each other.
Take their rocks and they'll hit each other.

Guns don't kill people. People kill people.
But some more control on that matter wouldn't hurt, lest Columbine or Virginia Tech happen again...
