Most useless creature WITHOUT hero:
Horned demon. Poor dmg, initiate and lack of special. They def is ok, but only 13 hp doesnt make it good even tank unit. They hasnt any specials either.
Most useless with hero:
Bone dragon, way to expenive price compared to its quality which is poor. Itīs dwelling cost is also ridiclous(where you get all those Mercuries?). And beside they have no real specials and they cant do anything well(taking dmg or dealing). I always buy 2 wraiths instead one of these.
Most useful with hero:
ArcDevil. I cant find free spaces on thr battlefield if demon lords comes with pendant(ultimare) and lots of these. There are pit lords everywhere...
Also Arcdevils can do good damage boosted with demon lords attack bonus and can stand with some damage(compared to others infernos troops).

you can't say, that paladin is most useful creature, it is maybe so for haven, but for me, when i'm playing with dungeon, it means nothing
haven: most useful - paladin
most useless - conscript
inferno: most useful - pit lord, imps
most useless - horned overseer
sylvan - most useful - treant
most useless - blade dancer
necropolis - most usefull - wraith
most useless - there are many useless creatures here, zombies, who cant do anything, bone dragons also and i never use vampires too
dungeon - most useful - hydra
most useless - assassin and minotaur
academy - most useful - golem
most useless - djinn
dwarves - most useful - no idea really, maybe magma dragon
most useless - brawler

yeah the djinni remark made me laugh too (not because its not true) but because so many people complain about how they look. and now they complain about how useful it is!
personally i think the titan is one hellishly useful unit overall. as the only tier 7 immune to mind control and decent damage (well range damage is lowered of course but i can see it being the best tier 7 on the rare occasion you get a unicorn horn bow)its pretty amazing on the "useful" scale. though for sheer power the paladins are all too good
useless id have to go with the zombie. honestly worse then the peasents (at least they pay taxes). conscript is terrible. even worse then the zombies but at least its not a tier 2 unit
pale_master would you mind explaining why you think the vampires are one of the most useless? ive generally found them a very useful unit and i think quite a few people would agree with me there

vampiers + raise dead support eases ur life in creeping,and with phantom forces too,their dmg is awesome really,they're great

why i found vampires useless?
because the other units are much better
the ore requirement for undead is too high, so if you build vampires, you will have problems in other creatures, or magic guild building
and you dont really need them
with 100-150 skelleton archers and 10 ghosts you can beat everything, including lvl 5 units and thats enough for first 2 weeks
in the final battle vampires cant do anything, they are 1 hit and they arent good dmg dealers

Sure, but you don't have to buy them after you build it. I actually find the zombie pretty useful, more so than say the horned demon.
Agree with letting bone dragons lie though.

You might have a use for spectrals but not bone dragons and you will never get spectrals outside of necromancy Yes zombies can turn to be pretty efficient in a big battle if upgraded and with vitality but horned overseers are just better.

Well, Orson makes a whole lot of difference. But I would skip them if I didn't have the resources for vamps...(Unlikely, but possible.)
