Phantom forces atb value is determined by hero lvl, not summoning magic.

Suicide armageddon works only if the defending hero loses too. If you cast it and only you lose it's gg.

There can only be one motw, if you place another the first disappears. Also there can only be one phantom per unit though it is possible to have multiple phantoms(1 for titan, 1 for mages etc).

If you attack the fortress town on the same round with no hero inside you just get the town If not the one who lost will rehire him from tavern and even level up.

Afaik phantoms have no mana or abilities. They will have the same number of shots with the original unit though in which case cloning an archer with no shots is useless.

Yes raise dead brings back the last unit of the stack after battle. Useful for tier 7 units

Other observations

Attacking a treasury, killing half the units and retreating won't work. When you attack them again they will have their original numbers.

If you attack pit fiends with obsidian gargoyles they will keep casting vulnerability

Archmages will shoot themselves with fireball if you only have griffins and battle dive.

Battle dive is affected by morale.

Eldritch arrow is considered a fire spell for chaining purposes but is not affected by master of fire.

Irresistible spells pierce resistance.

I forget, there are many minor details in this game

Elvin you sure about that? I thought you have to fight the guardpost even if there is no creature in the garrision.

About the Raise Dead thing I think it doesn't happen everytime but only sometimes.

Here are some more...probably already known but maybe some people don't

-Chilling Bones also destroys phantoms
-when fighting fire or magma dragons Magic Immunity is useful to make a creature immune against fireshield
-frenzy on shooters will cause them to go into melee... as long as they can reach a unit in one turn. If they can't, they use their ranged attack
-when rune of battle rage is used by creatures controlled by Puppet Master they still attack their original enemies. I'm not sure how it is with hydras.
-now this is a strange one: if a wizard with magic mirror casts puppet master on an enemy caster, let's say shadow witches, the spells of that target can be mirrored even if cast on troops of the warlock, who has no magic mirror of course. E.g. witches cast vulnerability on hydras, it can be mirrored...

1) I never tried it but it's a nice idea. In my current game I have 2 or 3 heroes with Recruitment, maybe I'll try it.
2) Hm hard to believe, except you meant Training, which indeed gets cheaper if you have certain skills.

They will appear if there are creatures in the castle too right?  As in no hero required?  Just clarifying.

I like this thread.  The cold death thing is a good idea for killing war machines.  I guess I already knew but I never really thought of it consciously.

Just to clarify, fireshield is a spell which can be blocked by magic immunity but magmashield is unblockable.  Even a black dragon will be burned by the magma.  It's possible this was intentional but I'm assuming this is another bug.

As for that I am at a loss for words.. I tried attacking the town with 1 shieldguard in the garisson and it did not appear but it appeared when I attacked with 100+ of them. I don't know the mechanics so I will have to check it later.

I just tested it and neither black dragons nor creatures with magic immunity were affected by the magma shield.

About fireshield:I attacked water elementals with green dragon,and behind them were fire elementals.The fireshield affected and killed my green dragons although I didn't attacked them directly.

That is actually a great idea! I never thought of that, although it's obvious, I guess.
Could you take out War machines with Wraiths and Pit lords, too?

Harm touch and vorpal sword don't work vs war machines.
Magma shield can be resisted.

tried it today, you only get the bonus of 1 hero even if there are 2 with recruitment in town

Minor:

Wyvern/Hydra Regeneration CAN revive lost units, much like Life Drain of the Vampires.  It doesn't mean much usually, given the regen is only 30-50, but it can make a difference.

(It's far more effective with weaker units.  I know from experience, having added the ability onto every unit save War Machines.  They just....don't....die.)
