Tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth... again!

Tell the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth.

Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth so help you God?

James 5:12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your "Yes," be "Yes," and your "No," "No," lest you fall into judgment.

Hmmm that was kind of heavy ….. well here’s something somewhat lighter.

There seems to be a tendency for personal things lately …. and that made me wonder.

How about a little game here!

People should sign up here first before entering the game.
The first one to ask a question will be the first one to register here. They can only ask a question to someone that has also registered for this little game (yes I’m already registered but will not ask the first question).

This question can be about everything (if not offense/harmful against persons/religions etc – just keep it clean – all sex related questions are welcome of course – winks at Zud).
This person will have to answer in all honesty.

The next person to ask a question will be the one that has just answered the last question.
That question must be for someone else than the person that has made the last a question.

Lets see how this goes!
Have fun!

This game idea was originally Hexa's - I thought I'd revive it in a new thread so we can keep track of who'd playing

The original thread is here and the sequel is here

Lets have some fun !

William, since your on, say you were to find an easily exploited god bug in homm5 online. Would you exploit it if you knew you couldnt be caught? Along with an explanation of why or why not, or why so many times.

Hmmmmm, Yes, I guess I would use it for a while, until it would start to get boring using it.

I would probably use it for a long time.

I guess it could be fun being able to exploit a god trick without anyone using it.

I guess it could also be not fun doing it if noone else knows about it, and it is always fun to play the game like it is meant to be played without any God bugs or anything.

But I guess I would use it for a while

Wog_EDN, question to you..... if there was no such thing as WoG for homm3, where would you post in this forum and what would you do with your spare time like how you make WoG towns and mods and stuff, what would you do instead?

Hmmm... That's in interesting question...

I've been here for a long time, and not all of it has been fun. I think that probably if I wasn't a moderator I wouldn't have been here through it all. Being a moderator has given me a reason to stay through times where if I didn't have the responsibility, I may just not have come back. For example when HC goes through it's slow periods, I still need to be here to moderate and do maintenance - so that always keeps me checking in. Probably if I didn't have the responsibility I would have stopped peeking in as often.

It definitely affects the way that I post, because I have to always be mindful that I represent the forum in a certain way and I have to try to handle situations in a fair manner. Meaning I'm required to be diplomatic, and try to understand people when I normally would sooner tell them where to go A lot of the time I have to bite my tongue and not say what I really feel, which can often be misery for me - but it's the way it is

Its hard to say for sure though, because I have enough ties to the community that I think I would still peek in once in a while to see who is around  - but I doubt that I would have had anywhere near the number of posts that I do now without the commitment that I made to Valeriy and this forum.

My question is to Celfious::

You seem to have changed a lot since I first 'met' you in these forums - it seems to me that you're looking for something more in life - but haven't quite found it yet. What started you on this search for a "bigger picture"- and do you think you're coming close to finding what it is you look for?

When I was 14 I thought I sold my soul for powers. It was a very euphoric situation going on inside of me for about 45 minutes that made me think this. Thats what started me. Now, I think I'm always getting closer to God, especialy when I bake brownies and listen to nine inch nails.

Oh man... School... Can't stand the darn place... Well...

My school was like an hour and a half away from my home so I had to take 2 buses each and every day, I was a real slacker so when my parents were off to work before my time to go I would usually just stay at home and cut school. But when my father offered to give me a ride I couldn't refuse, I would ride with him and then when he leaves me at school just turn around and go to the bus station on my way home.

The days that I did stay at school (as few as they were) were mostly because my friends pressured me to stay and learn stuff lol. I would draw comic scetches or at the time some nice ones of teenage mutant ninja turtles the hotest series back then and wait for the morning break. Then we would go outside and buy some cocoa milk and some sweet bun and play some bball, after which I would feel tired and skip the next lesson whatever it might be. A nice nap at the next few classes and it's time for the big break. Some more food and more basketball with some nice background music to pass the time. If I felt like going home I would normally do so unless it was time for a test or a quiz and then I'll stay, copy off of someone and get a good grade.

My grades were always around Bs and Cs with some As like in English, chemistry and my favourite geography without putting any effort in actually holding a book or doing homework. Once before my final exam in litrature I came to the teacher to ask her a question and she asked me "Who are you? Are you in this class?" so that's pretty much summs up my school years... I was an @SS lol

Let's see... I'll tell about something that happened a several years ago.
I had a girlfriend, I'll call her Sharon. We were really close and met almost every day. Once, she told me that a friend of her has a crash on a friend of mine. I promised not to tell anyone, and Sharon is a person that believes in trust and honesty. A several weeks later, I talked with other friend of mine, I'll call her Rebacca, that knew about what Sharon told me. Forgetting me promise, Me and Rebacca decided to "help" those two a little bit, and by that, the secret revealed to a lot of people. Me and Sharon broke up on that day (It was Yom-Kipur!), when she found out. She felt she cannot trust me anymore. After a few days, the two we were trying to pair became a couple. The guy didn't care about her, and they stayed together miserablly for 9 months, fighting and doing awful things to each other. So out of what I did, my girlfriend that I loved and I broke up, and I make two people really miserable for 9 months.

Okay... Next question...

Sorry for the delay. I was fishing this weekend.

Happiest moment?

That's really hard.

I'm happy all the time.

Well maybe it was after my first day in high school. I was cycling home from the school. It was a sunny day. August 1st. I felt like everything was all sunshine. It was the beginning of a new era of sort. There was nothing bothering me. I just was. I've been happy since. I quess my life philosophy of "don't stress" is based on that feeling. I'm all carefree. The feeling of being free of worries is amazing. So it was the moment of being completely aware of myself. "I'm a free spirit" might be the right phrase to use.

It seems to cause extreme frustration to my dad.

This seems to be an ability that one has to be born with. I haven't yet managed to find anyone with it.

My most embarrassing moment hmm?  Thats a toughy, I don't get embarrassed easy or often.  In fact the only time I remember (might have been other times when I was young but if I can't remember them must have not been too bad) being embarrassed was when my brother accidently walked in on me while I was 'with' somebody.  A miscommunication where he thought I was supposed to be elsewhere.

Now it is my turn to ask a question?

If so this is to Iris.  If you could spend 24 hrs with anybody..no consequences and no backlash...who would it be?

Man, what timing.  Well, if I saw this earlier last week, my answer would have been completely different...

Anyway, right now, if I could spend 24 hours with anyone, it would be with my co-worker's 18 months old son.  This particular co-worker and I were hired in on the same day about 3 months ago.  We were both new to the environment and we kind of stumbled through the whole immersion process together.  It's always easier to make friends when you have something in common, even if that commonality is cluelessness.    Anyway, despite the age difference, we became really good friends.  He's been telling me for a while that I should go to his house and meet his family.  He has 2 sons.  One is 4 years old, the other is 18 months old.

Well, work has kept us all pretty busy, and I still haven't gotten around to meeting them yet.  But then earlier last week, an accident happened.  And Sunday, he told me that his youngest boy is dead.  I'm going to the visitation tonight, and the funeral is tomorrow.  I never thought that this would be the condition in which I meet his family.  And it saddens me that I'll never actually get to meet his youngest boy.  I feel like if I just put forth a little more effort, I would have met him and the rest of his family in a much happier setting.

Edit:  Iris is a moron and asked a question to someone who isn't even playing.  Let's try again.  *Checks list*

Okay, alcibiades, I don't think I've ever conversed with you directly.  Yet.

Question for you:  What is your very first memory?

Hmmm ... I actually don't know. Will have to try to figure the answer to that one out tomorrow.

EDIT > Hmmm ... I've really been giving this some thought, and I can't put a finger of what's the oldest memory I have - I seem to have some very loose and incoherent memories from baby daycare, and I have a lot of memories from kindergarden, but I'm not able to put them in proper order and say which is the elder. I remember incidents from back then, like one of the girls tormenting all the guys by pinching them, and playing "if I show you mine ..." with one of the girls in the garden tool shed behind the house (those were the days, lol). I think she became my girlfriend after that, lol. We were probably around 5 years old.

Pandora here's one for you: Did you ever question your choice in taking the position here as everybody's mom, given that you're one of the older members on the board?

*looks for Alci so we can discuss what he meant by older *

I don't really know that I took the position of being everybody's mom as such I suppose to an extent I am influenced by maternal feelings when I see some of the younger members getting treated unfairly by other people - and generally will try to come to their defense. I am also caught by surprise sometimes by PM's asking me for advice about certain things that i wouldn't expect.

But really I don't see myself in a motherly role here - I'm just another moderator. Obviously being "older", and being a mom in real life will influence how I react to people - because that's who I am. Its impossible to step outside yourself and try to handle things any other way, unless you're willing to create an online persona for yourself - and that's not something I've ever wanted to do.

As far as my HC role goes, I think my actions come more from being one of the "board ancients" - rather than being older in RL. I've been here forever, and seen the cycles of HC - and wanting to keep the community going, and a sense of loyalty to the friends I have here is really what I'm about here more than being anyone's mom.

My question is to roy-algriffin:

If a friend of yours was to set you up on a blind date with somebody - and that friend asked you what you would like them to tell your date about you - what would the one thing be that you would wish someone to know about who you are?

Thats a hard question. I generally dislike judging myself. For bad or for worse.
But id have to say if i wanted someone who was going to set me up on a dateand wanted to say something about me id tell him that id like him to tell the other person that im generally honest and like computer games
A Appealing trait and one that some people find less appealing, Would be a nice balance. But if i had to choose only one id say that i wanted him to tell her that im honest

My question to pinkspear- If warcraft 3 never came out would you have ever thought that it would be very nice to insert the "im so annoyed you kept clicking" messeges in a game? or would you have thought it to a be a silly idea that marked the game as being ameteurish.
