Duel in 3.0: Irina vs Klaus (me). I think Irina has the advantage but I manage to win. Luck or not? REPLAY

My last duel 3vs3 in 3.0. Me: Karli + Jhora, vs: Lethos + Sinitar + Nymus. Well, the Thunder Thanes were funny against Nymus.  REPLAY

My first duel 3vs3 in 3.1. Me: Jhora + Ebba + Vittorio, vs: Deidre + Eruina + Marbas. Vittorio and his marksmen are really very good. REPLAY

Other duel 3vs3 in 3.1. Me: Razzack + Haggash + Anwen, vs: Deleb + Anwen + Helmar. Very very close match!   REPLAY

Great plays as usual, Zenith.  The Irina vs. Klaus match was pretty interesting... he couldn't really gain too much momentum, but darned if he didn't fight you every step of the way.  Great use of the Cavalier+Archangel combo, I was amazed that you ended the battle with all your Archangels still alive.  (Seraphs didn't fare so well, being sacrificed to clear the mines... =P)

The Jhora/Ebba/Vittorio match was quite good as well.  I always hate playing against Eruina; basically as soon as the battle starts against her, she makes many attacks and essentially rips you a new one before you can even move.  The usual occured here, but fortunately Magma dragons are amazing, and pretty much incinerated everything in their path =P.

The finisher with Vittorio's marksmen almost had me applauding.  The teleport got it free of the imps and into perfect firing position, then you picked off both stacks of devils. You even used stone spikes to awaken your blinded vindicators to clear the second blocker they put on those marksmen.  Great moves.  

I think my all time favorite duel was another of your plays with Eruina; It was an interesting matchup for me, because you played Eruina, the ultimate glass canon, while your opponent had Orson, one of the toughest, most meatshield-oriented armies in the duel roster.  Lots of stall tactics to keep those witches shooting.

Probably this REPLAY.
My opponent did several mistakes (not used Power of Haste for exemple). I think Orson should always win against Eruina.

Yeah probably Necro too strong and all way to powerfull with uneding mana. What's the point to have duel with specially(weaked) Necro with rarely happens in real fight.
And if i ask for balance (if you take something from one hro you should take something from the other so the balance is maintained)what other faction has taken it's racial abilities(Avenger only huh)

Here is the final battle replay from my 1st round TOH cup match vs Edwin_yang.

He was Jhora I'm Kragh. Main reason I put this here to show that flaming ballista, while still very good, is not necessarily a game winner in 3.1 .

One question: According to the manual, gremlins can sabotage only, if their hp is bigger than target machine's. How come then, that 30-40 gremlins still disable my 1100 hp ballista? Am I missing sthg?

No the manual was never right in the first place In the original tote you did not need 1100+gremlin hp to neutralize a ballista either.

Interesting match though I saw no cyclopes. I'd never upgrade slayers and leave the tier 7 out unless you did not have full forces on you.

It was rat race, and logistics never popped up and i had serious mercury problems, and when i realised I can't take level 7 dwell. on week 2, I decided to skip the whole area, and rush. I felt the pain of nerfing flaming arrows, when i attacked pack of red drags, and they raped my army without tent. After trees I got tent finally, and since i had ring of machine affinity and expert shatter dark / destructive with good perks (check out the tavern often, when opponent is walking with magnetic golems, it's easy to pick the right shatter skill ), I took a gamble, which was good enough for a close match but not for the win .

Final battle was on week3 day7 if memory serves.

Good thinking with the tavern I love that map but if you can't get logistics early it can be messy. Btw it seems that excruciating strike would have done a better job there. Not in your game as you did not have cyclopses to face the reds but overall, the damage would have been a lot better. For Kragh at least..

Indeed, you're right, but actually this was the first time i had flaming with 3.1., and I still thought it owns I was very wrong . With Kragh I will never go for flaming in the future.

Clay_Man plays very good indeed, at the beginning i thought that i could win easily since i had a much bigger army, but in the end i won very hard.
krah's direct attack is powerful and the triple flame arrows with the warmchine ring is deadly.i split my gremlins in two stacks,but still,they act behind the ballista(good luck Clay_Man).
and my rakshasas and colossuses did nothing at all.maybe i should upgrade them before the battle,just short of money

I have a battle replay related problem. Since i installed 3.1 the battle replays play on the lowest speed setting, and i have no idea how to speed them up. The "options" are grayed out during the replays, and battle speed doesn't seem to affect replays at all.

Is there a... i dunno ... INI file i could change this in, or some keyboard shortcuts that would allow me to speed things up a bit??
(Furies need like 10 seconds to run to an enemy, hit and come back.. so not cool!)

Up and down arrow keys affect speed, normally replays in 3.1 should be smoother than before.

Well, they are a bit smoother, but still there's a lot of bugs.
The one i hate most is the hive. The wasps "take off" is slow but endurable, then they seem to go around the world searching for some honey, before they attack their intended target (easily a 5 sec delay between animations, no matter the speed)
And there's something wrong with rot zombies. They move forward 1 tile, jump back half a tile, then they do that again, until they finally teleport to their intended destination and hit or what not. After that their number box slowly floats towards them... WTF??

But i should have posted that in a bugs thread or something.
