Hehe, new names to criti-I mean evaluate.

The Castle Evaluation (Inquisition sounds a little harsh)-

Level 1- Hard to screw up.
Level 2- Harqubusier seems too grandiose for an unupgrade.
Level 3- Gryphon? Griffin? Griphyn? Which one is it?; Liked Hussar
Level 4- Please stick to terms people know what they are.
Level 5- Inquisitor to damage morale. Sure, makes sense. But it is totally useless in the grand scope of the strategy.
Level 6- Eggh, Dragoon. Hate the name, no offense.I say that to anyone who uses it.
Level 7- Okay, but rather predictable.

The Hideout Inspection-

Level 1- Swabbie? Why? What's wrong with "pirate"?
Level 2- Gangster Will it make grafitti?
Level 3- Again, please Lamen's terms.
Level 4- Fencer? In a rogue faction?
Level 5- Okay, good. Some new, original approach.
Level 6- Having two units the same name save one letter. That's fun.
Level 7- Not grande enough for level 7.

Suggestions- Don't use native or unknown names. Stick to orthodox names. Somebody want to toss out a few suggestions?

Part 2- But wait, there's more!

The Demon Firing Squad-

Before I even get started. Demonologist. No offense (not to past statements either) but that is very bad.

Level 1- Familia? Missing an R? or do ya want some change in the greedy pipsqueaks?
Level 2- hey!
Level 3- I brought this up some time ago in some thread. Fenrir was an evil wolf, but was enchained in an icy world. It doesn't fit an Inferno. Garm, however, was a vicious hellhound that fits better.
Level 4- No comment.
Level 5- Do not use the same title for every entry. Sounds effortless.
Level 6- Pit lady isn't good, or bad, but not good.
Level 7- Funny. Outcast devil. Where else would it be if not in Hell for a devil?

Please take none of this personally. I am blunt by nature.

all three races are meant to know how to use firearms.... for demons i think they don't just come out of nowhere. they need humans who betrays the "Church" for some reasons. let's say.... political reasons. and then the demon come into their way..... Demon races should have more sinister image than a war monger from hell hehehe.....

For level two.... those shooters use firearms..... earliest standard accepted firearms was Harquebus (A.K.A. Arquebus)

so the name is Arquebusier... can you think of better name?

For level three... Gryphon? Griffin? Griphyn? whatever name means same thing... a big cat *meow~* with eagle head and big wings.
.. both upgraded griffons has a rider (remember H3 briefing room? queen Catherine with her griffon)....
Hussars means they are light cavalry and can do "Dive attack". Heavy means they have better armor but lack of ability to fly high..... this kinda griffon can ALWAYS retaliate enemy melees except the attacker has "No enemy retaliations" abilities
For level 5 i don't know the better name and abilities for inquisitor.... should it changes to "buffing" instead?
For level 6 alternate upgrade. mmmm..... it's goin' to be mounted shooter. did you want the name to be "Royal Musketeer" instead???

1. What's wrong with Pirate?... no. just want them the name that's can specify the class of "pirates".... because they are weakest in all pirates... can you think of better name?
2. no. think of Alcapone and his gangs. (20-30s)..... because Buccaneer uses Single shot rifle (i guess). which no obstacle penalty. gangster is gonna wield pistols in both hands. or use 15 shot revolver musket
3. Can you think the name of pirates with agility alignment.. i mean. hit the opponent and run instead of doing Head-on combat?... ninja never fights at sea.
4. mmm.. Knight factions got guys with broadsword and shield already. rogues should got a guy who use saber or rapier. or should it be cool if they use "Duelist" name instead?
5. for level 7 unit.... i am always thinking of outlaws rely on their personal skills (they don't fight in big formations).... a ghost pirate is sould very undead and undead should got it instead.... mmmm. unless you say it is possible for rogues to own a big stuff like Dragon... but which colour of it's skin? Warlocks (i didn't menton it as yet) got red and black.. if the dragon is tooooo big. which kinda unit/beast should it be?

1. Igniter "drains" opponent hero's (or spellcaster creeps) and use it to do mana burn . WHEN ATTACK ONLY!
2. lol .. possible.. Vicious Hellhound
3. about level 5. it's going to be a demon with wings
4. better name please.
5. Outcast devil has been either evicted from demonic throne for some reasons..... do you have better name for alternate devil upgrades? ... Burning Devil?

Review on the Review

Castle

1. I think you misunderstood me. I meant Arquebusier as the first creatue sounds better than its upgrades. Switch with Rifleman.
2. The Inquistor should do what he does best. Burn at the stake. Inquisition - Target stack is struck with fire each turn until end of combat.
3. Royal Muskateer- no. Even slightly altering the name is bad. How about Skirmisher (ranged and melee workng together was an integral part in skirmishes)

Hideout

1. Swabbie - Scallawag
2. I guess one wierd name isn't bad. Wakou stays.
3. Well, maybe. Change the duelist in Level to Commodore.
4. Changed me mind. Pirate Faction = Pirate Commanders at the top.

Demons

1. Concerning Level 5 - They may be demons, you still can give em cool names. Hmmm... Keep the Unupgraded: Winged Demon Ravager/ keep Devastator
2. Scorn Devil

mmm........
Castle factions
1. mmmm... if you use "image by honour" you've saw that riflemen are the lease honoured soldiers in history compared to musketeers and harquebusiers..... then the base LEVEL 2 creature will be Rifleman instead . the problem will fall to names of direct upgrade and alternate upgrades (arquebus is weaker than musket)...... should it be .... Sharpshooter / Musketeer? or Marksman / Fusilier (too napoleonic names ) ????
2. lol that sounds nasty debuff but "cool"
3. let's say..... Voltigeur p'rhaps (Voltigeur = vaulter... they ride horse)

the highest tier would be  Pirate Commander (piracy) for pirate upgrades. but what about base unit name for highest tier?.... it's gonna be shooter with no melee penalty.

thanks

More race..... (dwarves will be separated from magi, but not gnomes)
Academy / Tower (which one is better name?)
Hero
Alchemist / Amir = Might.
Wizard = Magic (of course!)

Classic Middle east fantasy theme.... (ancient Israel kingdoms .. especially King Suleiman era + Classic persia + Crusader era Muslim empire + Early Ottomans)

naga should become another race or live with swampy creatures instead

Citizen
Level 1: Gnome Gnome Engineer / Gnome Janissary
shooter. do 200% damage against giant units. use rifles
Level 2: Cement gargoyle (arabs adapts some roman construction techniques after the fall of roman empire ) Stone Gargoyle (defense alignment) / Obsidian Gargoyle (offense alignment)
Flyer. lifeless (not undead. not living thing either)
Level 3: Stone Golem Iron Golem (defense alignment) / Chrystal Golem (offense alignment)
tanker. slow, lifeless. high magic resistance..
Level 4: Mage Archmage / Battle mage
Spellcaster. High magic resistance. No melee penalty. excels in offensive spells

Lifeless. immune to spells that either harms living or undead units. high magic resistance. flyer

Fortress (Jadamean Dark Elves... along with Swampy creatures race... mostly lizzardmen)
Hero
Beastmaster (Might)
Wicce (Magic)

note that Jadamean dark elves are differed to Ashan ones. Jadamean dark elves has hispanic american skins (with FASHION TV heyday 2000 outfits) while Ashan ones have gothic looks.

Citizen
Level1: Gnoll Gnoll Marauder (single attack. with high damage) / Gnoll Poacher (attacks twice)
Footslogger.
Level2: Lizardman Crockman* (no melee penalty) / Kappa (shoots twice. think of japanese mythical amphib beasts)

flyer. removes all buff from target whe attacks
Level4: Karabau Red Karabau / White Karabau

Okey doke, let me dust off my red pen.

The Academy Exams-

1. I like Janissary, the sweet power of AoE.
Skips 2-5 because they are good.
6. Gigant, hmmm another "Age of" game hops into mind.
7. Awesome, because Crystal is rather breakeable, diamond is the hardest substance on earth, and a vortex is concealed in every diamond.

The Fortress Siege-

1 & 2- Good.
3. Just plain okay.
4. Karabau & Caribou. Any similarities?
5. Ahh. Attack of the mediocre names! SwampstalkerSwampslayer/ Bog Warlock
6. No comment.
7. AHH! Reinforcements! Naga is okay. Venerable Naga a little iffy. Rainmaster Naga? Out of swamp? Since when does it rain in a swamp? The water never evaporates! Maybe Naga Avenger.

All in all, only two tiers needed tweaked from the Fortress. Nothing in the Academy.

let me think......
The fortress has Pre-spanish era Central American ancient empires... think of Maya, Aztec, Inca
T4 needs reform.... maybe. Giant Turtle Stoneshell Turtle (High defense, able to erect obstacle (?))  / Gembu (Turtle with snake tail from japanese tale. able to inflict poisons on opponent when attack)
Tanker (tortoise lives in swampy areas. especially Thailand (my home ))
Thanks for better name for dark elves. but those are dark elves from jadame (they survived the big disaster and started over in a boggy land)
for Naga... mmm. lol Naga Avenger is a good name though. but remember that these creatures are worshipped by dark elves and lesser swampy creatures.

Here comes the new (or reformed) faction
Dungeon (underground city. mixed humanoid races but population is rarely consisted of slave warriors)
Hero
Slaver: Might ----better name?
Warlock: Magic ---- remember classic H3 warlock .... Alamar will make his comeback but where's Crodo?

Level1: Troglodyte Troglodyte raider / Troglodyte warrior
Fast tier 1 unit. remember Heroes 3???? it has no eyes, so it immunes to BLIND spells. better name?
Level2: Harpy Kinnaree / Siren
flyer, hit and run. no enemy retalliation
Level3: Beholder Gazer / Evil Eye
shooter. no melee penalty
Level4: Medusa Medusa Warrior / Medusa Witch (spellcaster)
shooter. no melee penalty, use bows, able to "stone" opponents except lifeless (unupgraded medusa can stone opponents only when melee)
Level5: Minotaur Minotaur Gladiator (offense alignment) / Minotaur Hoplite (defense alignment)
Tanker, always has good morale. (it cannot be demoralized! even fight alongside undead!!), immune to debuffs that affects morale
Level6: Chimera Volcanic Chimera (breathes fire like dragon) / Nue (japanese chimera) (can cast "disease clould" anywhere on the battlefiled)
fast creature, not a shooter. cannot fly. three direction attacks just like inferno's Cerberi. no enemy retaliation.
Level7: Red Dragon Black Dragon / Volcanic Dragon
classic dungeon unit. Flyer. immune to low level spell. high defense.
