Localized Texts
As you know, the game's texts are all stored in a single texts.pak file (or a similar name) in the data/ folder (or a similar folder). These texts.pak in various languages are released in patches, and are always cumulative (the last one contains everything). You can now download them directly in your language, if you need one to work on your mod, or localize your game in a different language (only the texts will be localized, not the sounds):

Getting the texts from a later patch (for your game version: H5/HoF/ToE) should work correctly (and a few mistakes might even be fixed). Report it here if it doesn't.
In several languages, the community has made available an unofficial text package, fixing some bugs in the official release. I plan to add these as well in the next few days.
If you maintain such an unofficial package in your language, contact me so I can upload your latest version.

Hungarian Files
Hello everyone!
Browsing through the localized texts page on AoH, I've discovered there are no Hungarian files present yet. So, I've decided to share them. Who knows, maybe someone has interest in playing H5 in Hungarian .

English Pack
does not work. I checked out every single one of them, and all of them work except for the English one. I am a Pole, I live in Belgium and I would like to play Heroes V in English with my friends so could you please repair or do something with the English language pack?

I had the same problem, but with help from Sfidanza, I was able to overcome it.
It is really simple: change the extension of the original p6-texts.pak file (something like p6-texts.pak.PL will do perfectly) and place the new one in its place. That way, the game won't know it is there. Or, if it still yields no result, try changing the extension of texts.pak, too.

Unfortunately, it still does not work. I suppose there is just a problem with the English pack because every other language pack works.
Additionally I noticed that, for example comparing to the French pack, the English one is very small. But I have to mention that when I copied in, after your advice, the French pack, the letters with accents started to appear correctly so there is certainly some improvement.

Hmmm... The English pack worked for me... As a last resort, try deleting (or copying into a new, temporary directory) all the texts.pak files of the original.
BTW, we're talking about vanilla H5, aren't we?

Very good! I'm happy I was able to help; by the way, I also have the Polish-Hungarian version of the game (given that I'm from Hungary) and have faced the same problem.

My guess is that the Polish-Hungarian text files have later dates than english texts (inside the .pak archive), and are thus considered i priority by the game. Changing the extension from .pak to anything else should work (as suggested by DrIstvaan) - note that changing the name only is not enough. In all cases, removing other texts from the data/ folder should do it indeed.

What you download is a .rar archive, with the pak file inside. I guess you didn't extract it, but renamed the rar archive instead.

Can someone add English texts.pak for Tribes of the East ver 3.1?
Version 3.0 from http://www.heroesofmightandmagic.com/heroes5/localized_texts.shtml is not fully compatible.
