Hey guys, I can't make a new thread so I'll ask here (I'm new), but how do you raise anything other then skeletons or skeleton warriors?  I had a level 20 hero (the one mentioned in the first post of this thread), maxed out necromancy skill... but all he would raise was skeletons (and a lot of em)... any help?

Are you thinking of Cloak of the Undead King?
It is an artifact, that focuses on raising others than skeletons when you have necromancy skill.
It gives you (if it's basic necromancy) zombies, (if it's advanced necromancy) wights or(if it's expert necromancy) liches instead of skeletons when you've killed some monsters.
But you may require Amulet of the Undertaker, Vampire's Cowl and Deadman's Boots to fuse it together so it will be this unique artifact.

Anyways, to make a new thread you shall click on 'New Topic' on the bottom of the Heroes Community site.

Hey, thanks for the reply... I can't make new threads until I have more posts.  So what you're saying is you just have to be lucky and get the artifact, otherwise it's just skeletons?

Bottom line is, this tactic is rather an obvious one - you are likely Month 2 Week 4 at the earliest if you have ALL these artifacts for the Armor, Bow and Cloak, and of course if you get 200 liches per big battle then you will keep them and make them into power liches. That is rather simple to do and deosn't require a thread or walkthrough. You don't need Moandor for your 500+ liches to be overpowered. Talk about how Moandor would be effective WITHOUT the Cloak.

Personally, I prefer more practical heroes like Crag Hack and Tazar that don't require an absurd amount of artifacts to rock. Spell heroes may be able to clear really well early on but they can get screwed over too easily. I was always one for Might heroes myself.

Also while Inferno is on the weaker side IMO it is certainly not useless, and Conflux/Necropolis are the two strongest towns in the game, or are at least in the running. You may want to revise your opinion.

To be absolutely invincible, make sure Moander has Wisdom, Earth Magic, and Archery skills.  Why?  With Wisdom and Earth Magic, you can devastate enemies with Implosion at Expert Earth Magic, but equally as important, if not more, is the Animate Dead spell.  This spell will make sure your undead ranks never thin... even if you do have Necromancy to constantly replenish your army.  And with your Lich/Power Lich army, Archery is highly beneficial for extra damange.

Hmm, Animate Dead or Imploasion are great spells when you have thousands and thousands of units. I preffer Twon Portal.

Animate dead and implosion are always usefull. As for Moander, almost none of the game last that long so u can get to colecting liches, play Arena and u would understand that in final sometimes it is better to use slow/haste/bless then animate dead or implosion.Plus to that why pick Moander if u can get Isra,Vidomina for larger army and Thant already with animate dead?I remeber playing hot-seat with friends where u can know exactly where they are and what they do and if u see them u can agree to kill all map and then fight, thats not how it is online,if they player finds out the spot where oponent is and they feel like they have advantage(no matter week 1 or 2 or month 5) they will go and kill you at all costs.

Dimension Door and Fly also are great.

Implosion and Animate Dead won't help if you can never catch your enemy...

Wouldn't a same-level Tazar and Crag Hack battling each other virtually cancel each other out, assuming they both had expert Offense/Defense?

Crag Hack might be better against others though if we go by the maxim "the best defense is a good offense."

I think it depends on which units you lead. Offence has a greater effect on units with High attack, while Armourer has a bigger effect on units with high Defence.

I preffer Crag.

Anyway, I made some calculation and came to a conclusion: under values of 50, Attack is better. At 50 they are equal, Defense being stronger after.

H3 does not have a feature to keep heroes or skills between campaigns. Only between maps of the same campaign. So enjoy your "restart the first map until it suits you best" thing.
