Just Another Map

version 1.4:
UPDATE 8/7
JustAnotherMap

changes:

_Garrisons raised a bit ~10%
_North sphinx, at 1st area, now give sheild of kings or 19.500exp or 14.500g
_+2 lev1 guards, +1 lev2
_Earthquake, Necro amulet disabled
_Helmar, Kragh, Nebiros, Sorgal, Yrbeth disabled (for no apparent reason)
_Also, some campaign heroes enabled, not the very strong ones




Important Hints:

_Town lev5 (tavern, blacksmith, lev1 dwell, lev2 dwell)
_lev1 dwell upgrade = disabled
_boot of travel out of town
_1 hillfort (hard to get)
_many external dwellings, including all levels
_4 customized sphinx (obvious answers)
_0 goldmines
_2 bags of gold (+250)
_0 precious res mines
_5 dwavern warrens (rnd res per day thingy)
_3 abandoned mines (don’t give gold)
_6 witch hut
_2 level up trees
_1 utopia
_2nd town is linked to opponent race (lev9 including cityhall, lev1 guild)
_when you see few elementals (1-4), they are joiners
_5 creatures close to 2nd town set to friendly mood
_lev7 dwellings between garrisons are all random



Enjoy sim turns to the max!
This map guarantees that simultaneous turns last until the very end. Even if one player kills a garrison, sim turns may still not be interupted.

Interesting map, good work. At first glance I thought that this would be a smaller map with quick gameplay (I'm bad judging maps by their editor looks), but it turned to be a map which offers a long game and high level heroes. I played with the necromancer lucretia, and when the main heroes met (week 7) I had staff of the netherworld, cloak of death's shadow, exp summoning and dark with all lvl 4-5 spells and about 35 spellpower (620 damage curse of the netherworld ), so I kinda enjoyed playing.

However, the disabled lvl 1 upg. was kinda annoying for me, and I don't see the point why is it disabled.

dont need to have some serious reason for that disable upgrade lev1, is just a map feature.. also making life bit more difficult for some races at early game

Last time I tried it was upside-down, but anyway it's a very nice map. Maybe middle dwelllings and bonuses were a bit chaotic, but hopefully you improved this stage of game.

"chaotic" make map so good and so diferent from game to game. I like it.

Hope here no't stupid "balances" like ban Rune of Charge.

Wuh, is the lvl 1 upgrade really disabled?? For sure, it's very original...so original that race balances really shift and is far beyond my liking

I must admit though that I haven't seen the map. Other than this peculiarity I bet the map meets high standards as in the rest of Insa's products

geee elit, you going to miss playing with yrbeth that much huh..
I thought of disabling 2 average dungeon heroes and 1 inferno, to make towns more attractive to play with. Helmar and Kragh are kinda cheat heroes, true winners.. But ATTENTION! i DONT mean BAN! My next map maybe others out these in. Is some little variations among maps, dont confuse idea of disable with ban

And, Strider, lev1 upgrade is disabled only in town, theres a Hillfort at '3rd floor' of map


Oh and, you guys, really now, i made this map considering a fair balance in combo with MY likings. If i say no rune of charge - no rune of charge it is! Has nothing to do with universal balance i just find it of bad taste (besides dwarf is strong alrdy)

Whoever likes this map but not some certain features, is very free to edit it according HIS likings

I was wondering, why not make a mod to balance heroes instead of just banning them. It's not like h5 has enough heroes to choose from. For example, Wyn-gay-al, instead of banning him, just remove his special since he already starts with something very useful for sylvan attack-tactics. Or Yrbeth, keep the special but make her start with sorcery for example. Don't get me wrong, i think all heroes are fine (except wyngaal), but many people are used to playing a faction in a specific way, so it would be nice to see from time to time a matchup between Yrbeth and Wyngaal instead of not seeing them at all.

You are doing very good maps!
I dont know why after invest so much time for make maps people ban heroes/arts/spels/runes. Its NEVER improve map. I played "just another map" with jorko and i like it. But not upgrades on lvl 1 can be so unbalanced . For example Academy creeping only with his lvl 1, lvl 2-3 are not useful for creeping much. So on your map Academy will be very weak. From other side necro/orc will be very strong.    
Hillfort cant be get early so its not point.

Week 1 creeping is sufficient for all races. Towns start lev5 so by week2 all races can di 'selective creeping' without being based only on lev1

As for aca, map is big, rich in res, big knowledge.. good map for aca
As for necro, map has many dwells and fair diplo chances, which reduces necromancy value. Also has 0 refugee camp.
As for barb, isnt stronger than other maps, also no trapper bonus make life harder
Sylvan survives cause of early lev3
Dwarf is dwarf..
Dungeon may not have stalker strength, thats why 2 crap heroes are OFF, leaving many chances for Yrwanna and Vayshan to appear early
Haven maybe less powerful than other maps, yet cant never say that for such town. Also prebuilt blacksmith favors it but with external stables they lose their advantage to other towns
Devil, is cool, cause map offers good amount of final armies, which they make double by gating. Also chance for millions imps

Yes the map is really good,but still Ves didn't take my suggestions and didn't included it and dueblo in the maps list for the Ceasar.
