Profile's files

Im rather ashamed to ask a such stupid question, but...

I think that very soon my hd will go boom and I want to save my progress with ToE...which files do I need to keep it safe??

Thanks!

(as very smallish off topic - since I have to back up some stuff.... do you knw any good software to burn stuff on dvds? anything but Nero....I want something lightweight and non-invasive)

i'm not sure but i think you should save your whole profile folder found in C:\Documents and Settings\Supersteve\My Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East and about what program to use... i only know Nero... and i like it
EDIT: why? because it contains all of your saved games. i would also say to keep your UserMODS folder because if you just moved the file there and then you delete it, it can be a pain to find all the mods again

Flash drives are good.  I'd advise buying one with 1 to 3 gigs on it.  That should be enough for most of the computer.  Unless you have lots of videos, music, or pictures that can't be easily recreated then put more important documents on thumb drive.  Also for pictures, get an account on Photobucket or some other media sharing site and upload all the pictures, then when the HD goes BOOM! you can just re-download them.  Photobucket takes videos too.  Media fire is also good, if you package videos/music/pictures into .zip drives smaller than a Gigabite.

Sorry about your HD.

Yes, your progress and saved game are in your profile.
Other content you might have added or changed include mods, maps, and maybe your autoexec_a2.cfg in H5_INSTALL/profiles/.

If you own a Nero license, a user (Acheron) packages Lite and Micro versions which just what's necessary to burn. Necro micro is the smallest with 20Mb only:
