New Chapter: Heroes V inside LRH New Season
Hello everyone,
The new LRH Season will start on 1 February 2008. It's been an interesting year for LRH existance.
A Regular tournament and 4 Open Tournaments give our players almost everything: the competion feeling, diversification, learning experience, discovery...
I thank you all for trying LRH system!
It's farr from a perfect tournament but I belive that will be the most advanced system arround Heroes world.
Our "mechanics" based on interactive site development broth enough confusion among the player. It happend because the implementation of new ideeas got way ahead. The "Help" system was not attached properly, the site map almost inexistent...
Shortage of personel! - Edomonton's worst problem!
Maybe The Random Addict Tournament prooved - it can be done!
We are looking to make all our pages within REPORTING SYSTEM be alive.
Starting with MESSAGE CENTRE (players login location); it has 2 functions:
1. To search for each game a player participate in(within all tournaments he is curently registered in).
2. To redirect the player to the apropriate location of a specific action he might need to do(match a report, fix a report, report a win or a loss etc).
Then the Random Addict tournament gave players the opportunity to download a template (rmg file) stright from the report. No need to go within downloads page and search for a specific rmg. Also was able to tell the players the generators capabilities (what size of maps could be generated, water content etc).
The second ideea to be implemented inside this Random Addict tournament was to show players real time if their opponents mathed their pre-reports or not, if they denied the reports or viceversa fixed them etc...
We've created this to completelly eliminate site administrators interference.
In the past if you reported (for example) a winn be mistake (instead of a loss) you had to email the admin to ask for necesarry changes.
Not the case anymore. Ask your opponet to deny the report. The report will come back to you inside "Fix reports" section and you simply select the right option again. Your opponent will close it and everything is finished within 1 minute.
This will apply to every single selection you have to do inside LRH Tournaments.
For the next Season LRH is preparing a fully functional help system that will assist every player during reporting. Each selection that has to be done will have at least 2 HELP METHODS:
1. Definition - on mouse over that specific selection, a line with basic definition will show at the bottom of your mouse cursor.
2. Pop up window - click on a text message will pop up a new window with large explanation about that field.
However, within same Random Addict tournament we've added a javascript interactive help (also based on mouse over event) - that will write inside the page a quick description about that specific element. The problem with it was that Mozila firefox coudn't read it properly. Today it is fully functional - the last 2 versions of this browser were finally able to run it.
Also starting this new season inside MESSAGE CENTRE each player will have direct communication with THE ROUND TABLE. Game issues, complaints, greeting, questions and many more - all can be addresed there.
Counting the direct players communication function, update profile, feedback and error options present inside same Message Centre, we belive players have almost everything at one click distance.
For Heroes 5 we've added a similar reporting system also monitorised by the Message Centre.
Inside this Heroes 5 system we've added a new function called "Chances to win". Based on few variables at the moment, it's acuracy won't be that great, but once it will get running, we'll make it be better.
The ranking system will combine the 2 Heroes Versions supported at the moment by LRH (Heroes 3 and Heroes5).
The players profiles will have a mirror interface for players that play both versions, and a single interface for players playing only one.
All players can start playing the other version at any time, everything will be updated automatically.
Ther's only one thing to remeber: in order to report for a specific version you need to be registered to play for that version. (the players that will register to LRH site after 1 of February can select both versions stright from the registration form - the old players can register to Heroes 5 within Message Centre - I'm sure they remember how easy was to register to open tournaments from there!)
At the end I wish good luck to all players engaged in LRH Tournaments season 1. Don't forget Nation Tournament it will get in finals on (2 of February) - 3 March because the first game reported was dated at 3 March 2007. Keep looking inside LRH site for more details. Random Addict will continue for at least 3 more months.
New Season will bring new MIGHT and MAGIC addicts.

today is already 19 of feb 2008...and nothing happened yet..
One more thing...registration page for Heroes V is not working....

I've responded to you in the thread "a date for heroes 5?"
Some changes needed to be done in order to run both versions of heroes inside same ranking system.
Maybe it's just me, but I've worked a lot lately and I hope you'll like what you see inside LRH tournament!
Tomorrow will start; hope this delay won't hurt that much...

Congrats ,
Thank you Cosmin,you done a wonderful job.1 year past since I talked with you and asked to introduce h5 in lrh.Now my dreams comes true.
Ill try to get a lot of players in lrh cose this site is a piece of art
