Why would Urgash side with Asha and the others? Aren't they like, eternal enemies?

Oh I missed that one ! What a sacrilege Malassa is the darkness dragon, the so-said dark elves' god. Faceless were a race that helped dark elves after they fled from Irollan. Faceless are said to have been exterminated after Angels slaughtered them.

This one isn't actually that bad of an idea, only problem being that it would mean there are a lot more neutrals that are wayoverpowered. Unless maybe there is a way for each faction to get one "supreme creature" after perhaps buying the Grail structure? That would be awesome if you could buy Grail and for doing so you get super powerful creatures at steep cost or maybe you only get one when you build the Grail or something.

Ha! I had the very same idea a while back when I was thinking about the new creatures framework.

I think it's a fine idea, and it *could* be unbalanced, but could also be cool if it is scenario-based.

Here are a couple of possible approaches:

1 - gods appear as avatars in the highest level creature (i.e. dragon, angel, demon, etc.) and are much bigger in scale. This LIMITS your overall army size, as there wouldn't be room on the battlefield for 7 stacks. Only *ONE* avatar can be recruited at a time.

2 - the avatar unit is ONLY available after finding the Tears of Ashra (and again, one ONE unit is recuited). This makes the creature very rare, requiring a lot of effort, and ensuring that by the time it's available, it's at a stage in the game where opponents are well-developed.

Lieutenants of gods wouldn't be so unbalanced unless there are too much of them is neutral stacks. Also, they would by really useful for mapmakers as guards for the most powerful artifacts, i guess.

They'd be like wild Phoenixes. Just one or two, but pack a serious punch.

The fact that they would be limit by a Tear of Asha is reason enough. And I think it makes sense, because the Tear of Asha bears few benefits other than the 5000 gold and extra creatures (and by this I mean it once had better extra bonuses). I would make the creature a recruitable, costing a rough cost of a good 30 or 40 thousand gold and 5 or 10 of each precious resource. Still, with stats like 50 ATK and DEF and a good 1000+ health, it would certainly be worth it. They should also be given abilities to adequately recompense for their steep cost.

I think each "Legendary Creature" as I would prefer to call them, shuold also have his or her own tactical element. For example, the Dungeon would get the Faceless, something resembling the Cosmic Dragon and could be used as a distant assister, similarly to casters. The Forsaken (a really corrupted Archdevil) would be a way more offensive unit.

It would also be cool if we refrained from calling them things like Cosmic Dragons and Dark Archangels, but as in my example above, use single descriptive words like Forsaken to demonstrate something unkown and powerful.

Ideas for each faction would include:
Haven: The Omnipotent
Inferno: The Forsaken
Dungeon: The Faceless
Sylvan: The Hidden
Academy: The Enlightened
Necropolis: The Immortal
Fortress: The Legendary
Stronghold: The (something synonymous to destructive and large, possibly Gargantic)

Any feedback? I'd gladly do textures for some of these.

Something along those lines. I too was thinking of some synonym of massive or giant.

Oh, and I just wanted to know if there is any chance this project becomes a reality. Because if so, I would love to make some textures.

That'd be half the work, I guess. Remember also that they should only be recuitable in Tear of Asha.

Here's what I was thinking, since these creatures will be usable only in the late game and cost massive resources, you should be able to have a whole stack, but at a growth of .25 a week (is that possible) in which case you could get one a month. Eac one is able to take down 3-5 Tier 7 creature not in a single blow, but rather if faced against those creatures. For example, a Forsaken would be able to kill 5 Black Dragons, but have only about 100 or so of his massive HP remaining.

It may be possible to put .25 as the creature growth, but I don't think you'll ever get the creature. Since growth doesn't carry over, .25 would round down to zero. The only case you'd ever get it was during the "Week of Life", in which case .25 will double to .5 and round up. I like the fact that they loose HP instead of being damaged. Do you mean that to be default for every one, or just the Forsaken as an example? Since I don't think .25 creature growth will work, maybe give them an outrageous cost. Like 15 of every resource and at least 50K gold.

Maybe...then again the creature growth would need to be around .6 anyway since the Castle and Grail would make it go up (right?). At 1/week, they would need to be a little weaker, but this could still work. With a Grail you'd get 3 Tier 7s so a single Tier 8 would be pretty fair.

Regarding stats, I would treat them as regular creatures with higher stats. Here is an example of my idea of The Forsaken

ATK: 45
DEF: 38
HP: 600
Speed: 9
Initiative: 11
Min-Max Damage: 75-95
Abilities: (Legendary*)Demonic. Flyer. Bash. Double Attack. Enraged.

*Perhaps we can manage to take the elemental ability, then recreat it and name it Legendary? It would be the same ability only different name and text.

As you can see the creature stands out mostly in HP but is a formidable unit. The nice arsenal of abilities makes the Forsaken an all offensive unit.

Also, I will try to post an image of a creature soon.

EDIT: I tested an "Legendary" creature using a simpe Archangel with edited stats and found that it isn't all that unbalanced asuuming you have a very low population of these creatures.

At 600 hp, a single Implosion would kill it. Not very reliable. Maybe Up it to 1250? Well, I can see you'd argue "but that would be too imba". Well, maybe. But against the Dungeon, your Tier 8 won't really make a difference. Or a late game 35-size of Tier 7's. And an Archangel has on the order of what, 35 Defense? And the Cyclops has 45 attack. The tier 8 doesn't seem to much more powerful over them aside from a 45 or so difference in damage. Maybe up the attack 10 or so points. And, since this the Inferno Tier 8, lower the defense and give the attack an additional 10 or so attack.

Side Note: Do you have every one of the Tier 8's planned out?
