I know how you feel. I'm having that, myself. Plus, I'm having a hard time thinking up a way to deal with this thing that can jump from one person, to another. I had an idea, but the spell I thought of doesn't effect as many as I need it to.

Ok so here's my reply. Pardon me for still being a bit panicy and overhelmed but this is his first live combat and then he's even facing Demons . But So far so good.

Well, I was thinking of getting them outside of the "box". That was one of the possible spells I thought of. Though, according to its description, it doesn't affect a whole 22 people, at my current level. Only 5 people, aside from myself. And another one that I was thinking about has the same limitations.
Oh well. Maybe I'll do something else. Kind of getting an idea now. Maybe the block is starting to go away.

What you need is a Soul Trap, but I think that may be Clerical. Or something from the Tome of Blood. Sad, I used to know ever spell (Mage, Cleric, or druid) by heart. Now I can barely remember Magic Missile. Neither of you are high enough to cast a time stop which would trap it in it's current body for 3 'rounds', so all I can say is look at the spells carefully

There is Soul Bind, which both the mages and clerics can cast, but that just prevents resurrection type effects. But there is also Trap the Soul. I don't have that spell, though. It would be useful, however. Perhaps there would be a scroll with it on it, in the room.
Though, what might be looked for here, is for me to cast True Seeing, so I can see the little possessor. If so, I didn't choose that one as one of his memorized spells. I suppose I could change it, if that's the one spell required for this whole thing.

Are you still going to cast True Seeing? If you will and let us say you revealed the demon, I could probably cast something that can hold it or kill it. So, for now, I will wait for you to move before I make mine.

Hehe and it still doesn't have anything to specifically help the situation with the possessing demon  . Protection from evil 10' radius MIGHT help IF:...
The demon is at least 10' away already.
or
There is room for it to be pushed back 10'
And (if either of the above can be done) you don't force it into a wall (that willingly breaks the spell).
AND it is evil
AND it can't dispell magic
Otherwise couldn't find much to help. Possession IS 9/10tenths of the law after all
