Well, my post was kinda innocent so I'll keep it. It just introduced my character a bit and gave the locations where I can be found, PLUS, I felt inclined to give the first few verses of "all the fair ladies"

An idea I had for that spell I may be researching.
Magnetic Pull:
Target object acts as if it were a magnet.
Still trying to think of more that would be fitting.

For future reference, Onyx isn't really a people person. Besides, the general is the most likley candidate to be putting out propaganda. Furthermore, the war has been going for over two years now. Just about everybody knows what is going on.

About my hand Omega here are my basic ideas:
Since it's mechanic I thought the metal could be: very heatresistant (doesn't melt if I hold it in fire for example), not-rusting (perhaps there is a word for it but it's not known to me ), steril, and shiny basically I would like people to see that it is mechanic.
About the features:
I don't know to what extend magic might help but I wouldn't want my hand to work perfectly in the sense of flexability. So fingermovement, etc wouldn't be that smooth and it would be slower than on a normal hand. Afterall what is the use of a prothesis if it works just aswell as an real hand (in this case... of course it would be optimal normally)?
I had imagined that my arm beginning from short under my elbow is some metal which is connected to my hand.
About the function as a weapon of the thing here is my idea:
a) I will not use the prothesis as any kind of weapon it will be just an "normal" arm with which I hold my blade
b) I ask Onyx whether he can but some kickass rune on my prothesis giving it some cool feature (like deflecting spells, temporal strength boost, indestructability, something)
c)Since my arm is missing up under my elbow I had the following idea (sorry if it's kind of complicated). There is some kind of metal housing from short under my elbow to the place where my hand connects to the "underarm". I thought that I could perhaps have a blade in this housing that shoots out when I form a fist?
I'd apreciate some feedback (of course not only from Omega).
Currently I'm more in favour of b) or a combination of c+b.

Actually I think c is not a bad idea...
Has anyone seen Edward Scissorhands by any chance? (plan c, but in an advanced stage)
You could also hide a crossbow in it...
Or Euhmmm... a healing enhancement? (But who would want that?)
If u don't want to be put in a dangerous situation anymore, you could post a banner carrier on it and stand safely in the rear of the ranks... I'll try and post more productive ideas sooner or later...

Sounds good Dagoth, but Onyx isn't the only one who can use runes. Mitsu is skilled with them and she's currently in the forge. So just wrangle up someone to forge you a new limb and ask Mistu nicely to affix something to it.

Yep Azagal Mitsu would be more then happy to help with runes. Just a word of caution about runes. Unlike normal magic, powering runes comes from the rune itself and the person weilding the rune. (Most spells power comes from an outside source, then the spell, then the person and takes a lot less from them then runes).
The more adept you are at runes, the less personal power it takes from the weilder. So when activated at first it will drain you pretty good, but as time goes on it will be less and less .
So what all runes would you like exactly. (Remembering the more their are the more drain they put on you when activated)

Well Mitsu can't put any rune that she herself can't use yet on it, so no worries there. . At 18th level she can use 8th level magic in her runes (would be ninth, but I detract because it takes a bit more energy).
Then it depends on the material it is made of, how good of craftsmanship it is, and how long Mitsu would have to put spells on it.
Yes making magical items is quite complicated (But one of my favorite things to do).

And those are only a partial list. D20 has a more complete list, but I can't access it right now. Forget the exact address  , but it is blocked here. There are spells from 1st, 2nd, 3rd edition. Unearthed Arcana, Complete Mages guide, and many many others hehe. The sheer number of spells boggle my mind. If I could find one book that had every spell, I'd deffinately get it.

Would something like Cats Grace benifit me if cast on my arm? I don't really get how it works. Oh and where can I look at runes?

Any spell cast on the arm would benifit your whole body. However, Omega might limit it to lesser forms (+1 instead of +4) or place restrictions on how often it is used. As for runes, to my knowledge there isn't any. Pretty much my idea (Had to get Omega's ok with it).
Here is the idea behind rune magic as we discussed it. First normally they are more like tatoos. They have emblems of various things on them, depicting what they do. Cat's grace would probably be a feline or feline's paw for instance. The runes do two things. They act as a focus, and absorb some or most of the drain from casting a spell. Runes allow me and Onyx to cast Mage/Wizard/Sorceror spells without speaking, but drain more energy then those spells would from a mage/wizard/sorceror. Now the power can be boosted, unlike normal spells, but that drains more energy and tires the caster out more also.
Now in the case of your arm, they would be carved into it, but the energy would still come from you. As you got used to the runes, less and less energy would be taken from you when you activated them. In otherwords, the only place you can find out much is picking my brain
