Core races are starting races.  They include:  Human, Tiefling, Elves, Dwarves, Halfings, Half-Elves, and Half-Orcs.  I'm bummed they wouldn't throw Asamir into the core set, but at least they got rid of the worthless gnomes.

Core classes are starting classes.  They include.  Warlord, Warlock, Fighter, Wizard, Druid, Cleric, Paladin, and Thief.  I'm a bit bummed to see the Monk, Sorceror, and Bard go due to how powerfult hose classes could become, especially in Neverwinter Nights (NWN2 didn't improve the bard as much as I hoped.  The new inspirations were kind of cool, but I missed the old bard and curse songs.)  On mods that lacked a lot of srolls, Sorcerors were the way to go.  As to barbarians, I'm not upset.  They could barely stack up to fighters.  The rage was nice, but the drawbacks and limitations on it were a pain when you couldn't really rest.  The damage immunity was pretty worthless too.  Wow, 3/- at level 20.  That's awesome when I'm getting hit by level 22 demons.

I have the sneaking suspicion Dragonborn are going to be the ideal class for Red Dragon Disciples.  Call it a hunch.

I heard awhile back people would start to get destinies after awhile.  Basically if you reached level 20 as a fighter, it was your destiny to be a powerful fighter or something like that.  I don't really see how that changes anything.  I also heard that races would continue to improve up to level 10, getting better abilities and the like.  I don't know if that was implemented or not.  Certainly would be nice to get an extra feat as a human at levels 5 and 10.

Alright, let's see what's positive for me with this new system:

Elimination of racial level adjustment.

Tieflings have become a core race, along with an entirely new race, the Dragonborn.

Gnomes have been removed from the core race selection, with plans to publish them as a playable race in the monster manual, much like goblins in the current edition.[15] (I always hated gnomes. I love the idea of using them as ammo for our new cannons)

Monster Manuals officially support leveling monsters down and up to allow for easier encounter design and flexibility. (which means my small firepower won't stand out so much)

Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Monk and Sorcerer have been removed from the Core Class list; (now it's either mage or warlock. The heavy-firepower time consuming mage which could lose their spell uses over time or the inexhaustible small firepower warlock)

Core rules extending to level 30 rather than level 20 (I have a lot more time to rp, here)

If I'm wrong then don't correct me, immediately... Wait 2 hours or so

I don't know about removing these classes.. Suppose I did not care much about barbarians and sorcerers are not needed because of spells per encounter but why the bard, druid and monk? Anyway looking forward to learn the racial skills and how the new magic system works. Also a friend mentioned something about the new wound system and the ability of everyone to cast spells, not sure what to think of that. Hope he was mistaken.

Hello everybody
sorry for not showing my face all the time but I in the last few weeks of school my teachers are goging mad with exams... they are just piling up and there is my girlfriend, dinners, etc. I'm not trying to making excuses since I really have been busy.
So sorry for holding things up I'm working on the spells (It's so hard to choose!!)

Was pretty hard to narrrow down my choice but here we are:
Level 2:
Pyrotechnics: Turns fire into blinding light or choking smoke.
False Life: Gain 1d10 temporary hp +1/level (max +10).

(Besides there are sooo cool spells for RPing:
Continual Flame M: Makes a permanent, heatless torch. So freaking stylish.
Touch of Idiocy: Subject takes 1d6 points of Int, Wis, and Cha damage. Dam I'd be touching you guys all the time just for the fun of it)

Level 1:
Shield: Invisible disc gives +4 to AC, blocks magic missiles.

Level 0:
Arcane Mark: Inscribes a personal rune (visible or invisible).
Apprentice' Fireball: This spell is a tiny version of the famous Fireball spell, but the explosion is much smaller and only does 1d3 points of damage.

I would only take Pyrotechnics if I could use them as a combo with Apprentice Fireball. I was thinking that I could use that fire for the Pyrotechnics effect. If Omega has objections I'd go for False Life and Touch of Fatigue: Touch attack fatigues target instead.
Btw... what does Arcane Mark actually do? I choose it because it sounds cool.

So thanks very much and sorry for holding things up.

(And Omega would it be ok for Azagal to form an elite fighting squad as head of training the soldiers? Within reason of course... I realize it may be a bit late but still...)

Going to have to speak to the general about the fighting unit.

As to your spells, the only one I have a gripe with is Arcane Mark.  Rune magic is a distinct type of magic in this game that takes a long, long time to master, even for basic wizards.  So I would prefer it if you picked something else.

Right In that case I have a question though: Would the effect of Touch of Fatigue: Touch attack fatigues target stack or does one touch already dazzle the oponent in such a way that it actually affects his fighting? Or should I go for Deafening Pop: Upon completing this spell, two loud bursts of sonic energy appear, one next to each ear, deafening your opponent?

Think about who you are going to be fighting.  You have to deal with Demons, Storm Giants, and Mind Flayers.  Seeing as how Flayers are pscions, Deafening Pop probably won't do much.  I'm sure Storm Giants really won't care if they can't hear and it'd take a lot to fatigue them.  As to the Demons, if you are that close, I don't think hearing is going to mean a whole lot.

Remember, you are level 18.  You're going to be fighting really powerful foes.

So we're fighting a collaboration of giants, demons and illithids... how do they get along? (Has this already turned into a war of 4/8, since Dhalia has already been slain? Or am I just reading it all wrong?)

Nope.  Still the war of 5/8.  Before we even got to where we are, the Gold Coast, Drow, and Undead armies were destroyed.  The Gold Coast, which was lead by the church of Lathander was destroyed by the Demon and Undead armies.  Only two people survived, but they died in vain, trying to seal away the Night Lord for eternity.  Unfortunately for them, the Night Lord was revived, so they are now stuck as a pair of statutes out in a grotto.  Sucks to be them.  As to the Drow, due to an intricate (and convoluted reasoning on my part) plot by Moon where she used Ceres to "kill" her, Moon was able to defeat their leader with the help of the head of the Shadow Thieves.  So, that leaves:

The Northern Alliance, which is Moon's army,
The Demons led by someone yet to be revealed,
The Mind Flayers led by an Eldar Brain of course,
The Storm Giatns led by Stratus and,
The Shadow Thieves led by Jack of All Trades (used to be Blades, but I really just ripped that off from Fable.)

As to everyone getting, along they really don't.  Only the Northern Alliance and Shadow Thieves have a non-agression pact going.  There is little for the Thieves to gain if the world is destroyed.

Furthermore, the leaders of the armies (except Jack and Moon) are terrifyingly powerful.  Killing them in the conventional sense will be extremely difficult and a lot of people are going to die in the attempt.

Well Omega about my spell selection: Well I don't think I have a lot to work with when it comes to level 0 spells who would actually get me an edge in a fight versus Demons, Storm Giants and Mind Flayers, do I? Please don't get me wrong I'm not complaining at all but I don't know what you have in mind and please remember I'm not much of a DnD'er so I have practicly no clue at all about spells and such.

See this is how I saw things:
Deafening Pop: two loud bursts of sonic energy appear, one next to each ear. Well I thought that when two loud bangs explode right next to your ear you atleast blink or in some way are surprised thus buying Azagal a moment to get out of a pinch, get an opening, dazzle the oponent for atleast a few seconds which I think are quite decisive (atleast for the way Azagal fights). But maybe I interpret to much and read to much into the spells and their posibilities again I'm still new.
And about fatigue touch: as a hardcore melee monster I thought that this could be cool do drain my oponent but on the other hand if I had time to touch him I probably would have time to cut him. But I have to admit that I was more or less thinking of more humanoid enemies (things with ears and eyes).
I didn't go for + 1 xy stat things as I didn't really think that they'd do much of a difference on level 18. So if you have any advice for me I'm happy to hear it but I hope you did see my point.

EDIT: About that shield thingy I chose does it also block physical attacks?

And OOC wise are the two children that I tried to protect during my fight with the demon now orphans or do they have a father?
