Music in the 1970s, 80s and 90s (respectively) was IMO a dozen times better than music in the last decade.
Hmmm this is the last thing that we need to close before we make the entries.
Do you guys want to select your songs without the year restriction and choose them from the begining of music itself?

nah, that would be a bit silly. 8 years sounds reasonable.
as for the US, how about a west coast and east coast?
or actually I'd prefer: Pacific Northwest, California, The South, and New York.
That's four entries but I can promise none of them will win. The whole point is to be exposed to music we don't normally hear right?

Yes that's the basic idea. In the first couple of Eurovisions each country sent a song in its native language but as the years passed by it became more and more "trendy" that everyone sing in English or French. I don't mean that songs in English are not allowed, I mean they of course are easier to understand and relate to but I would like to hear more "Exotic" music entries

No, actually if it should be kept in the true EuroWorldVision spirit, we should grant our favorites scores corresponding to 12 (best), 10 (second), 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.
Btw. can't believe you Americans. Come on, you have a whole arsenal of the greatest artists ever, and you choose to nominate some completely unknown acts? I mean, you have the King of Pop, the King of Rock'n'Roll, the Queen of Soul, the Artist formerly known as Prince, the Man in Black and I could go on and on as your options - and you nominate some peasant.

Hmmm looks like the true Eurovision spirit to me, I mean the UK can choose from so many good acts but each year they send some crap that gets 10 points max.
My thought about the scores was something in the range of 5 countries, cause rating 10 countries could be tough for some. Now we need some score proposals...
I think 1st-12, 2nd-9, 3rd-7, 4th-4, 5th-2?

Yes, that is because I was under the impression it would be little known music. Not mainstream. There are a TON of very good songs out there that would be mainstream. Oh and the artist formally known as Prince is now just Prince again.
